R.J. Kuhn Plumbing Heating & Cooling

I hired RJ Kuhn on a referral from my financial advisor, who is also on our village’s Chamber of Commerce. I needed a whole-​house humidifier installed, and RJ Kuhn did the job better than I expected for a competitive price. The dispatcher was in constant contact with me the morning of the installation. Although they were a couple hours late it was not an issue since I was home for the day; and I understand the prior job ran over.
Once RJ Kuhn’s mechanic arrived, he was very professional and explained everything he would do. The installation went without a hitch, which included tapping into the existing electrical and plumbing systems. When the mechanic was finished I was in awe how professional the installation looked and operated. He gave me a demo of the operation, and also provided an RJ Kuhn calendar along with the documentation of the humidifier.
One week after the installation, the house has a very comfortable humidity level to counteract the dryness from the sub-​zero outdoor temperatures.

Ended up discovering a serious clog/​backup affecting all the bathrooms on the upper level of our new home. Called Lenert Plumbing because they were close and had a good review, but somehow was routed to these guys because it was after hours (Sunday morning). The Sunday «double time» prices were a little outrageous ($ 260 per hour), so I decided we could wait until Monday to have someone come out when the prices were a little less crazy. The dispatcher was in constant contact with me throughout the day, and let me know exactly when the plumber was on his way. Turns out the job involved cutting open a length of pipe in the crawlspace off the basement, and clearing out a mess of tile cuttings and solidified grout that had made its way into the toilet drains when the builder was doing the bathrooms. He also noticed that the plumbing wasn’t exactly to code (not enough of a slope in the feeder drain pipe to the main drain pipe), but we have not had them out yet to take care of that issue.
All in all, we can flush our toilets again, and we’re happy. The guy who showed up knew his stuff, and was quick and professional.
