Franklin Square Bed and Breakfast

After learning that I had to travel upstate for a funeral, the last thing that I wanted to do was face some grimy fleabitten rat trap of a motel. Looking around, I found many bland chain places and a few terrifying options, but then my boyfriend found Franklin Square. OH MAN!!! Rates start at $ 119 and I seriously encourage spending a few extra bucks on a place to get a lovely room, comfy bed, fantastic service with quirky hilarity. It made a weekend of sadness into a truly lovely, comfortable time. We stayed in the Chinese Lantern Room, which is small, but who cares when you have a Jacuzzi for Twozzi!!? Breakfast was fantastic-​fresh fruit salad, great coffee, honey yogurt and a delicious egg and ham soufflee. Tammy came by after we finished eating and offered us chocolate cake, which seriously, sounds over the top, but who doesn’t love cake for breakfast? My brother lives nearby, but I would gladly stay at the Franklin Square B&B during our next visit. Well done Olé and Tammy!
