Let’s see. Oswego IL store. Spent 3 days to START a diagnostic test, which they assured me would take a day. Rude CSR rep and technician clerk, who did absolutely nothing(besides lie). Refused to complete a diagnostic report form to send to my credit card co., which was paying for the repair. When I removed my PC from that store, and asked the Fox Valley store to do the same diagnosis,-which the Oswego store cannot-and filed a complaint with my credit card co., Best Buy lies and says they performed the service, and the 2nd store performed a diagnosis for free. Funny, then why do I have 2 receipts for the same diagnostic service charge from both stores? Oh, by the way the Fox Valley store, completed the diagnosis in less than a day. Incompetent and unethical. I will never use Best Buy or the Geek Squad ever again. A total waste of time and money.

I bought a keyboard earlier this month(Apple keyboard) and the space bar started not working well. I took it back to exchange it with receipt in hand. She told me to get a new one so I did, and when I brought it back she just told me «no» because I was two days outside of my 14 day exchange deadline. She had grey hair, I wish I got her name. It was a manufacturer issue, Apple has a one year warranty that they normally honor. It’s not like I waited nine months and demanded a new one. It wasn’t even a full month old. So I went to a different department and asked another employee about it, he was really polite and helpful. He told me they normally honor it. So he went to find out and told me the computer said«no» so they can’t do anything. I know this isn’t true. He told me I could go to a different store and they might do it, but why can’t they? I ended up having a different best buy exchange it without issue. They told me it’s weird this woman gave me a hard time about it because it was only two days past the deadline and it was a manufacturer issue. The woman who helped me was not very friendly and not helpful. But the other man who helped me was really nice! I just think it’s silly that I had to drive to a different location for something so simple when they could have just helped me.

I have been shopping at the Oswego Il Best Buy since the store opened. I am a Loyal Platinum customer. I have bought all of my 7 flat screen tvs as well as my home theatre and all electronics exclusively at Best Buy. I am writing to you about a recent incident at this particular store. I placed an order for a 42 inch Visio Smart Tv. I was told the order would arrive on 4÷2÷15. I went to the store at 615 pm on the 2nd. The associate at the store informed me that the truck had not shown up and that it should have arrived at 3pm. She then informed me that even if it showed up I could not get the tv that night. After informing her that I needed something now she said that if I wanted someone could help me find another tv. I went to talk to an associate in the tv section. I explained my situation and told him I needed a tv tonight. I found a tv Samsung model UN4046203AFXZA this tv was 444.99. The Vizio tv model M4221-I-BIWAS429.99. This associate said he would talk to a manager and see if he could price match the tv. When he came back he explained that because it was a different brand the manager said no. I told the associate I can not believe that for 15 dollars Best Buy is losing a loyal lifetime customer. He was a very rude, ignorant associate and replied sorry that’s how it is. I feel betrayed. After the 10s of thousands of dollars I have spent and the great recommendations I have given to people over the years to shop at Best Buy, this is a slap in the face. I left the store and purchased a tv at SAMs Club. I just want people to how the manager at the Oswego store has turned away a lifetime customer.

Went to the store to buy expensive electronics which were in a lock box. I don’t mind that they are locked up because I understand people steal them but can someone please help me get them so I can BUY them! Jesus. Asked two employees for help. They just called on the radio and said wait here while they walked away… Got tired of waiting so decided to go somewhere else.

I love this store! We walk in they help find exactly what we are looking for then we pay and leave! If you need help with TVs or speakers go to Garret he helped with our Sonos and Smart TVs! Very, very knowledgeable!

Horrible customer service. Didn’t even bother to apologize for not processing online order. Then gave me an obviously used camera with missing parts. Went back to exchange but Jasmine at the service counter tried get me to keep the used camera. I guess ringing an exchange is rocket science and too hard to complete.

This location is not very good with customer service. The lines for most services are extremely long waits. Most of the time it seems the store is understaffed. Im not sure that Bed Buy is as big on customer service as it use to be. Everytime I buy a warranty on a product the price has increased. If you are big on customer service and efficiency don’t stop here.

Had a Geek Squad guy do a return. What a jerk. I love this Best Buy because it right across the street, but this guy had the personality of an turd. No wonder nobody uses the Geek Squad.

One cashier working, who didn’t know how to check out the person in front of me. After five minutes of waiting the cashier had to call a manager for assistance. I ended making my purchase elsewhere. This store is always slow at the checkout yet there are plenty of employees walking around doing nothing.

Boo! Took our computer here to be serviced. We walked in with a ‘slow’ computer, and waited 2 hours(with a toddler) for diagnostics. We were told for $ 200 we could upgrade our memory and the computer would work better. We agreed and left the computer for servicing. We were later called and told our hard drive was also failing and that our computer would not work at all unless we spent an additional $ 300.(Couldn’t figure that out during the two hour diagnostics?) We declined and asked to pick up our computer in its original condition. We were given back a computer that does not work, and charged $ 70 for their ‘services’. What a joke. We took a slow computer to Best Buy, gave them $ 70 and left with a computer that doesn’t work. Never again…

Considerably smaller than most Best Buys, it’s still a welcome addition to the burgeoning shopping district alongside Ogden Avenue in Oswego. At about a third of the size of its sister stores in Aurora or Downers Grove, it has everything a normal Best Buy does, but stocks a slightly reduced inventory. The organization is a little lacking as well, as not even an aisle separated the washing machines from the CDs. It’s also a little tricky to spot the cashiers if you’re used to the usual dozen of long aisles at the rear of the store.
