If i could give this place less than one star trust me i would. If you want to get your clothes actually cleaned try any other place than this one. Chances are that whatever you bring wont even end up clean but actually dirtier than before. They were rude and condescending and no one i know will ever be going to this place ever again.

I have been a consistent customer of this dry cleaners for 12 years — without fail I would use them on a weekly basis, usually spending between $ 20-$ 30 per week depending on time of year and what type of clothing I needed cleaned. Over this course of time, I never had a bad experience from a servicing standpoint. They always had my clothing ready when promised and everything was clean and properly pressed. Despite not having a huge staff(I never saw more than one person working there besides the husband-wife owners), they always provided top-notch service. So why only a 4-star rating? Recently they finally got into the 21st century by allowing their customers to pay with a debit/credit card. The first time I decided to pay by debit card, the owner made a huge stink that my bill was only $ 9.80 and they didn’t like to take a debit/card unless you meet a $ 10 minimum threshold. Talk about being cheap — after 12 years as a customer she didn’t want to pay a 3% surcharge on $ 9.80. After the whining stopped, she reluctantly took my card since I didn’t have any cash on me. But the fact that she even resisted at first made me lose all respect for these owners. It is now August 2015 and I just went back there for the first time in two months and I see they have sold the place to new owners. I almost didn’t recognize the place — they had about 8 people working there. I just wanted to point out that my review was for the previous owners. I will update this post after I have had a chance to see how the service compares under the new management.

I brought up Alpha Cleaners in Unilocal because I was hoping to see their hours of operation on a Saturday. I did not find their hours, but I immediately noticed the low rating and two negative reviews. First, let me say that I do not doubt what the others have written, but I’d like to provide my experience with Alpha Cleaners. I have been going there for the past 2.5 years. I remember exactly how long because the first time I went to go there we called in advance to see if they were open, it was late on a Saturday then, and the owner was closing up but agreed to stay open for another 30 minutes while I drove over. Since then I have gone regularly, on average of once a month, and have had no problems whatsoever. In fact, my wife dropped off a comforter earlier this week and made a point of emphasizing that she needed it back by today and wanted to be sure that they could have it ready for today. Well, she became ill and was unable to get by there. The owner just called, not 10 minutes ago, to remind her that her comforter was here in case she might have forgotten. My wife explained and thanked him for calling and that is why I was just now looking to see when they closed today in case I could make it by beforehand. But, after seeing the poor reviews I decided to first stop and post this. I don’t doubt the experiences of others, but just remember that people(like me) who have good experiences with a business rarely pop on to post positive reviews — we’re just getting on with life. So, while I gather that Alpha Cleaners made mistakes with these folks, I would offer up that they also have successes. I mean, he called to remind her — who does that?! And he ALWAYS remembers my name(small thing, I know — but still).

I dropped 2 blankets off a few weeks ago and was told I could get them the next day. When I came back to get them he said that would be $ 80 for 2 Comforters. Shocked I said ok and asked to see them first. He was hesitant but brought them out. When he brought then out I immediately noticed both were still covered in dog hair and when I told him that he said«where? I don’t see anything» I continued to show him and he said«You’re making it up for a discount» I calmly told him«no I would like you to dry clean them both again» He screamed«No!» and then I informed him that I had read the negative reviews on his place and that I could see why they felt the need to warn people. His response, «Those people lied!» Still screaming. The truth is he is still in business because for many of us he is the only one close by. But I will be traveling a little further for mine from now on

I agree with previous review. This place does a terrible job. They almost always launder my clothes even when I say dry clean, therefore ruining many of my items. I keep going back because it’s the only dry cleaner in town. The last straw is this last visit when they tore my shirt and didn’t repair it. There is no way that they didn’t see it because I had it starched and pressed and they would have seen it at that time.

Do not go here. They will ruin your clothes and say its just«part of the risk» of getting your clothes«cleaned.» I had taken 4 shirts and 3 pants to get dry-cleaned and pressed(or so I thought). After returning home from picking everything up, I noticed that two shirts were color damaged(almost looked like light bleach stains). The next day I took them back and demanded compensation for the damage. The guy(possibly the owner) stumbled and mumbled and tried to say it wasn’t his fault. He rambled about a bunch of possibilities(water, laundry process, etc.) He then said he takes responsibility for dry cleaned articles and not laundered articles. I told him I was under the impression that I WAS getting my clothes dry-cleaned(why else would I take them to a dry cleaner?!?). The best he would do was refund my money for the price of cleaning the two shirts(a mere fraction of what a new shirt costs). Also, this guy writes your name in permanent marker on the inside of the shirts, with NO warning. REALLY?!? I mean is that really necessary?!? That is the last time I go to this place. Very unprofessional.
