Ordered take out. Received the pollo soltado, with French fries and rice. Portion was very large however I was able to eat it all, as it was awesome and tasty. Could of used a little more seasoning, nothing a little hot sauce couldn’t fix. Would definitely order take out again, but it did take about an hour.

This place does not even deserve a star but Unilocal gives me no option. Came here during the week for a table for two, the food took so long to come out and the waiter was m.i.a all throughout our meal. I always get the lomo slatado when I frequent a Peruvian restaurant and this one location tasted super mediocre. I put in a meal to go and not surprised it took even longer to come out, we got fed up and asked for the check. Long story short, terrible service, horrendous food and To add the cherry to our sundae the waiter had the audacity to add the gratuity to our bill. This is INSANE!!! I worked in the service industry for over 20 years and never heard of adding tip to a table of 2. I didn’t mind leaving the tip, however I find it insane that the sever would do such a thing on a table of 2 and on a to-go not to mention leaving after taking our order never checking in or bringing our food when the chef rang the bell several times. I do not recommend this place at all just take the drive down to port Chester aka Peruvian city and get better food at inca& Guacho, or el chaval even el festejo.

I ordered takeout from El Tambo recently and it was surprisingly good. Peruvian food is so interesting — like South American Native Indian with a Japanese twist. Unusual but delicious, especially when prepared by a good chef, which it seemed to be the case at El Tambo. We got the raw fish ceviche as well as the fish fried rice and chicken milanese with fries for the kids. The ceviche was really quite nice. Super fresh and very tasty. I’m not crazy about tilapia in general, but it tasted great. The preparation and flavors were really well-done. The fried rice was also very well-prepared with a nice light sesame flavor. There was a whole lotta rice for, like, $ 14 dollars which I thought was a great price. The restaurant was surprisingly cute inside and would be nice for a date to try some different food in Ossining.

Terribly slow cooking and serving food. I ordered a fish soup and French fries and with no people before me waiting for food. However, I waited for one hour and finally food was served. Meanwhile, people came after me already got their food finished and took out. It was lunch time and lunch meal was supposed to be quick serve.

I had the roitissere chicken and rice and salad. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. The price was good, they were stingy on the green sauce.

We found this great little place on one of our drives through Westchester, NY. I food is awesome. I especially loved the lomo saltada and the ceviche. There was another batter fried seafood dish(dont know the name) that was really nice. The portion sizes are extremely generous. This place does not serve alcohol but I believe you can bring your own.
