Went here for lunch and waited for 20 minutes just to order, and it was not busy at all… food was average… Won’t be coming back…

Tried this place on a whim today and overall not bad. My Southern born and raised boyfriend is looking for a place that serves fantastic biscuits and gravy, so we tried that. It had potential, however the flavoring of the Italian sausage overwhelms all the other flavors. Using a plain or sage sausage would definitely work better.

$ 18.64 for a club sandwich & a soda at lunch… ridiculous! Used to be a very good economical place to eat, not anymore!

Loved the Yankee Pot Roast. Great scratch made food here. Avoid the soda!!! I’d give them five stars if they didn’t charge $ 3.25 a glass… and we had to signal the waitress to get a refill! Happy hour for alcohol is cheaper on 2 for 1. Like I said… great food but have a glass of water.

The jewel of Osseo. Great food, great value, great people. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Classic American food, classic American service.

I love it here, service is great and food is just how we like it. Best eggs Benedict breakfast I’ve had, no offense Dad. ;-)

If you like all you can eat crab legs, it’s worth checking out. It’s not going to blow your mind but it was good. I always like to support a mom and pop place over a big chain anyway. I will also say the french fries were excellent and above expectations. It’s in a great location right off 81 so if you like crab legs plan a visit.

i want to give this place more stars, but our server either forgot to put our order in or «the printer jammed» as she described. whatever the cause, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive in a too-warm restaurant with a fly issue. not exactly the hometown experience i was hoping to show my out-of-town guest. granted they took 25% off our check without us complaining, but, still, i was not impresed. not sure if i will return despite the fact that the servers are doing their best(possibly a little too busy to keep up?) & the food is good. *plan to share one meal between 2 people if you can, the portions are ENORMOUS!

Have not been here since they moved to their new digs. I am glad the beer can collection made the move. It harkens back to my youth and my own collection. The menu has changed some since i was last there, and I am a bit chagrined that i have not stopped in sooner. We tried two breakfast entrees: the biscuits and gravy which was quite good. They use a sweet italian sausage which i always enjoy. The other was the Charlie Brown Eggs Benedict. I would highly recommend this. So I am sure you are wondering what makes this so special? Well you start with the perfunctory english muffin, take some cream chees and mix a whole mess of bacon into it and put a shmeer of this on the muffin. Add your poached egg, pour on the Hollandaise sauce and top it off with more bacon crumbles! The first thing you will think is «get in my belly Charlie Brown Eggs Benedict!»

Lots of good tasting home style food. Price was a bit high. Service was very slow.

Giant pancakes! Seriously. And they are really good and smell even better. The best restaurant pancakes I have ever had. The waffles were very good as well. Light, fluffy. Neither tasted like they were from a mix or a premade batter. We also tried one of their skillets which was quite good. You can choose from several kinds if bread on the side, american fries or hashbrowns in the skillet and how you’d like your eggs cooked. The sausage and ham had a really good flavor. The ham had some sweetness and the sausage was full of herbs. The hashbrowns were underwhelming and I think I’ll go with the american fries next time. The restaurant itself is adorable and quaint but not outdated. The service was efficient, prompt and polite but everyone seemed a little rushed and on edge even though it wasn’t crowded and it kept me from being able to relax and thoroughly enjoying what was actually a very good meal. Hopefully this was just today and not the normal vibe the staff gives off. Overall it was a good experience and we will definitely return.

We stopped by this mom and pop place after dropping into Osseo to go to the Fleet Farm. As a previous reviewer said, we opted for the local place instead of the Perkins down the street, and I had some high hopes for yummy breakfast. The big star of the show was the caramel pecan sticky bun, which was humongous(split it), drenched in caramel and delicious… It completely did not need to be served with a side of butter, but the fact that it was made it even more awesome. Served hot and gooey, it was really worth the visit all by itself. Breakfast wise, I think maybe I wish I had ordered something else. I got the Baconeer omelet, which is just bacon and cheddar. It’s what I call a flat omelet, meaning it was cooked on a flattop and just kind of folded over on itself. The omelet was made with real eggs, not egg product, so that was good. The bacon was fine. But there was barely any cheese inside and it was really not that satisfying. The english muffin I ordered with it was the best thing on the plate. I actually didn’t even finish it, which is a rare thing with me when we’re talking breakfast food. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy which was not on the menu but was a special. That was pretty tasty… a bit spicy but not too much. Thick cream gravy with real sausage chunks and a big nice homemade flaky biscuit. Plus two eggs. I kind of had ordering envy, to be honest. The coffee was on the weak side, but we like strong coffee, so it’s hard for us to tell anymore. Service was average. Booths were comfy, restaurant was clean. We’d come back if we were in the neighborhood, I think. But we won’t be making any special trips to dine at Lynde’s.

Every time I go here, the food is excellent! Strawberry topped waffles, fruit fill french toast, BEST biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had, and all you can eat crab legs for $ 19.99 Thursday nights!!! Relaxed 1950’s style atmosphere, very sweet and helpful staff, clean environment! This restaurant is a diamond in the rough, I recommend it to everyone! LOVE!!!

Are you looking for a huge hunk of meat that transported itself right from the supper clubs of the 1950s directly to your plate? You are? Then come with me to Lynde’s. After a long day of shopping with the grandparent, we ended up at Lynde’s. It felt like stepping back into another era; maybe one from long ago, maybe something that had been held over from the Ponderosas and Bonanza Steakhouses of my childhood. What better way to cap off a day with grandma than with comfort food? Saturday night they had a prime rib special(how perfect is that?) and I’m a sucker for a special, so there were prime ribs all around. Let me just say; the prices may look a little high, but the portions are… well, have you seen the Flintstones opening where they strap the meat to the side of the car and the car tips over? They’re kinda like that. You get a big slab of meat. The fixins? As traditional as traditional can be. With the prime rib we got: –Soup or salad(Oh good lord – if you go for the potato soup it’s like a cup of really rich, slightly-thinned mashed potatoes. You can feel it clogging your arteries, but it’s darned tasty.) –Beans(Thankfully, not so traditional. That is: they weren’t cooked to death.) –A dinner roll with warm butter –Choice of potato(smashed/mashed is fabulous) –The meat They didn’t squirm away from cooking it bloody-rare(as I ordered it) either, so the whole dish was seeping in red, salty blood by the first few cuts. I ended up taking at least another meal’s worth of food home. You just can’t finish it all. Dessert was out of the question. It’s not the place you want to go for a modern meal. There’s no cutting-edge here(apart from the steak knives). But if you want a comfort-food experience reminiscent of dinner clubs of the past, it’s your place.

This is a great addition to Osseo. If you want to stay local, then come here. It is a cute atmosphere and they have great daily specials. Great work coworkers and work lunches.

The food here is very good. I had the prime rib and it suprisingly exceeded my expectations. It came with green beans and mashed potatoes that were outstanding! I have also had their ribs which are fall off the bone tender. The serving staff does a good job but they didn’t honor our dinning club card! Another table across from us ran into the same problem. Why would they agree to be part of the dinning cards and then tell customers they won’t honor them after they have eaten the meal? I was very disappointed, as was the table of 8 at the other table, and I can say they have lost my business.

The food is good but the service is horrible! We had a dining card that they were not gonna let us use! We had to speak to the so called«manager» in order to get ½ of the discount we should have! NOTCOOL… don’t participate in dining cards if u are not going to honor them… Even with good food we will not return! I’m not going go argue every time just to get my discount! And full price is not worth it!

First time visiting and it was for a group gathering. I have to say the food was really good and the service was amazing! It’s hard to find good service these days, so it was a nice surprise! I had the hot turkey sandwich which was amazing. I also had a side salad, it wasn’t the greatest since it was room temp. Other people in my group got the walleye and raved about it. The parking lot is way too small for the amount of seating inside. The place wasn’t full, yet people were parking in lots a few buildings down. The banquet room was HOT, it’s 95 degrees outside, and it was cooler outside than in the room. That’s the only negative thing I can say about my experience. I would go back, but when it’s cooler outside. Lol. Overall, a pleasant experience, besides the excessive heat.

My friends and I were looking to eat some breakfast after driving back from Big Lake. Perkins sounded like the easy choice, but we opted to try a ‘mom and pop’ place instead. Apparently, the Lynde family owns quite a few places in Osseo and this place used to be a dump. It’s a lot nicer now. Since I’m not always a big fan of breakfast food(and their menu didn’t have anything that sounded really good), I opted to get a hamburger. I had the Lynde’s Burger which has onions, tomatoes, 1000 Island, and pickles. I ordered mine medium but it was very well done. And the waffle fries I had were just one step above the waffle fries that are served in the cafeteria at the school I work. My friends seemed to enjoy their breakfasts but nothing special. The pancakes were huge(the daughter of one of my friends proclaimed their pancakes the best she had ever had on a previous visit) but my friends didnt think they were out of the ordinary. If I lived near there, I’d go back but I won’t make any special trips back again.

Well, this was a friends choice and I must say a darn good one. Little place off the mess that is now 169 and Hwy 81. That has to be a downer for the local businesses. Couldn’t tell here though, the place was busy, everyone seemed very chipper and well that’s a good place to start. Every time I find a local place like this in the burbs I kick myself for not having tried it sooner. All the times I have driven 30 + miles for some good food and I could have driven 5, carbon foot print people. The food was very good. Lots of the local home cooking items, meatloaf, Hot turkey and Hot beef sandwiches, that sort of lunch thing. I went with my all time favorite, the Ruben. A sandwich that is oh so dependent on the bread on which it is placed. I always worry a little when I order one. Well the bread was the best part, very, very good. The meat and sauerkraut were perfect as well. A Ruben well done. Did a little side salad so I comment of any fries or that type of item but the side salad was good, lettuce was crisp, fresh and better than most. I hear the breakfasts are very good so I know I will be going back soon. Have to see what they can do with Biscuits and Gravy. KT
