Scrambles Eatery

We just finished our breakfast and it was delicious. Homemade corn beef hash was excellent. Husband had pancakes, eggs, bacon, the 222 meal. Very good service. Nice place.

Waited over an hour for simple eggs and Bacon. We we’re forgotten about to begin with and than no one ever came back to our table even for the check. Food is good there that’s why we like it. Very frustrating, get it together wait staff.

Thank goodness for this good old fashion breakfast place. Wonderful staff and super service. I am pretty boring and have not tried more than the traditional breakfast stuff but I have taken friends who are more adventurous and all have raved about the food.

On my English friends recommendation I ordered the Full English Breakfast. It was his first visit here and couldn’t stop telling me how good a proper breakfast is. The disappointment on his face when it arrived told the sorry story. He tells me that a Full English comprises: bangor (English sausage/​s), bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding, hash brown, fried bread, «baked» beans and more. We had one small sausage, two slices of lovely bacon, two eggs, three small mushrooms!!! a small slice of tomato, american breakfast potatoes and some «baked» beans in an extremely small serving bowl with two slices of toast. He was very disappointed, the owners apparently are from England so you’d expect them to serve a better product.

Best breakfast in town. Lovely staff. The menu offerings are standard American breakfast fare mingled with English options.

We moved to the area a month ago and have been to Scrambles six or seven times. It’s a nice easy walk from our house so it’s a go-​to favorite. Each time it is an enjoyable experience. The wait staff is friendly and the food is good. My particular favorite is the Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise which I have had three times now and it has always been cooked perfectly. When I cut into the eggs they oozed just as they are supposed to. Friends went with us recently and they enjoyed the bangers and grits.
If you are in the area stop by for a breakfast treat. They serve the tea in a separate pot along with a warmed cup, just as it should be but never is!
We did try the Friday night dinners and will give it another try. I meant to order the All You Can Eat Fish Fry but wound up ordering Fried Cod, which was good but, because I’m on a low carb program, the portion was a little small. I’ll know better next time.

After reading a review in the paper and not having been there in a few years, we decided to head back to Scrambles for breakfast. Scrambles is in a strip mall off 41 near Blackburn Point. It is small and the interior looks like there was not much thought given to it. The service was okay, and the servers were very friendly.
I had the Tene Bene, which is eggs benedict except with sausage gravy and sausage patties. I ordered to homefries which were orange and mushy. The Tene Bene was okay, but kind of bland. Did the cook even taste it when it was made? I doubt it, because at the very least, it could have used some salt. My eating companions had the banana pancakes, which I tried, and surprisingly were very good. They had a rubbery texture, which I like. My other companion had oatmeal and scrambled eggs and said both were good.
The portions were decently sized and the prices were not out of line. The place could have been cleaner, but we will probably go back the again.

Great spot to meet up with a friend for breakfast or lunch. The food is prepared well and the wait staff is very personable. The kind of people who remember you — your name and what you like to eat!

Seems like a basic diner to me, although it targets the breakfast and lunch crowd.
