Oaks Candy Corner Whol & Ret

The local candy shoppe that has a great variety! The Oaks Candy Corner is a small local candy making shop that is an awesome place to visit! They make candy in house and at Christmas time they even have larger than normal candy canes that you can get for decoration or to have a big treat. Prices are higher than you’ll find at the grocery store but as my fellow Unilocalers have said it is to be expected for this type of place and worth the money I believe. The employees have always been friendly when I have stopped by and are eager to help. The shop does have holiday based candies depending on the season, but also carries several chocolate choices always. The Mealty bars are popular but they have a huge selection that will meet just about any taste if you have a sweet tooth. Highly recommended!

I am originally from the Kansas City metro area, home to the Russell Stovers chocolate empire, so suffice to say I thought I had tried it all as far as varieties. I have also had some of the high end corporate brands like Godiva, Ghirardelli, etc, and I must say that Oaks leaves them all in the dust.
They make everything in house and even walking in this place at certain times of the day is a real treat in and of itself. Almost everything I have tried there was first rate, but the true standpoints to me are the Meltaways, Clusters (similar to a nut truffle) and the nut rolled. So very delicious.
The staff here is always super friendly and is eager to talk Chocolate. Just tell them what your preferences are and they will set you up with something that is bound to delight. Prices are on the expensive side for chocolate here, but that is to be expected in a place like this. The quality is worth the price. They also ship to anywhere in the US, so a handy place to stop when you need to send out a gift.

Oaks Candy has major history as a multi-​generation family business by you guessed it the Oak’s family. They ship anywhere in the U.S. and I recommend a visit. when I dropped by they had just received 6,000 pounds of chocolate. Hmmm…
