Independence Farm

Got a tip from a local friend that this is a fun afternoon trip, small independent (as the name implies) working farm that offers a real farm experience type petting zoo. Arrived to find chicken in the yard and a little hound dog sleeping right next to the road. Instant thought was this is going to be either awesome or horrible. We were pleasantly surprised. Let ourselves in to the office per the signs posted, made our way into the barn were we met Cory, the owner then his wife. They talked to us for a good bit. Really friendly folks. Showed us the most amazing newborn bunnies, got to meet Burt the HUGE hog, and a lot of other animals. They also had completely natural beef and bacon made local for sale. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Great local flavor. Come get some vt love from this farm. Great maple syrup jam jelly meat pickles. Pet some nice farm animals. The dogs roaming around are super friendly too
