Kelly Ridge Fairway Restaurant

This place used to be a nice bar and a decent restaurant with a lovely view of the lake but the restaurant has since closed down and the bar is very poorly maintained and lacking in product. This is a shame because the establishment has a lot of potential.

I love coming to Kelly’s Tavern on the golf course, always have a good time and where I discovered the Dirty Shirley! yum yum

This restaurant is good but inconsistent. Sometimes the service is slow and sometimes it’s great. The food is ok but good enough that I continue to come back. The alcoholic drinks are always great. They have a great bar! The Champagne brunch is really good and is on Saturday and Sunday.

My husband and I have been here three times and have always had a good experience. Quiet, friendly attentive staff .The chef has some great specials. Linens, comfortable seating, flowers on the tables .You could dress up for dinner or come in golf attire. Reminds me of a mid-​west country club. The lake view is great and watching the swimmers in the pool is entertaining.

My first trip here was for lunch on a Wed. I had the patty melt burger, fries, and a soda pop. The food was excellent with large portions. The bill was just $ 13. The server was fantastic. She was very attentive and made sure my drink was always filled.
The dining room overlooks Lake Oroville. The glass wall offers a beautiful unobstructed view to everyone in the restaurant.

Stopped up at the golf course on a recommendation from a local. Was pleasantly surprised. For one, the view is awesome — right over Lake Oroville.
I had a ½ cobb salad and DH had a ½ ham/​cheese sandwich w/​fries. Food was very decent and even for ½ portions, was more than plenty. My salad was still huge and DH said he’d hate to see what the «full» order looked like. Wouldv’e been enough for 3 people I suppose! Price was $ 17 with tax. Server was very, very nice.
Rest of menu looked good with much variety. Noticed at 4pm a «seniors» menu starts with lots of good choices at extremely reasonable prices.
Overheard some staff saying it hasn’t been very busy. Too bad — seems like a very decent place to eat with an unbeatable view. Maybe they need to promote it there because I found out even some of the locals don’t even know it exists. There is also a bar on the premises but didn’t have a chance to go in.

Rude rude and rude!
We were in the process of cleaning out my husbands uncles house when 2pm hit and so did the hunger pains.
Kelly’s is in walking distance from the uncles home. I walked over to get food to go for the group back at the house.
The tavern just happened to be where we walked into. There were two guys sitting in a little dining area eating food and four people sitting around the bar.
When we asked the bartender if we could get food to go she seemed like we were the most annoying people in the entire world.
She yells, «How many orders?» My husbands aunt started to count and then the bartender cuts her off and says,“ILL BE WITH YOU IN A MINUTE.“
Didn’t you just ask? Then she keeps just practically yelling everything shes saying. At some points we couldn’t even tell who she was talking to.
Finally she tells us another woman is going to take our order. That’s when we hear her talk crap about me and my aunt in-​law and to «put on the smile» when she comes help us.
Hello?! I’m right here. Since you scream everything you say I can hear you. This woman was so incredibly rude. The other woman who took our order was in training and I hope to God she doesn’t learn from that other woman.
We found out that the actual restaurant was on the other side of the bar and if the yelling woman had just said to go over there we would have been fine.
Excuuuuse us for wanting to come in and spend our money. Sorry we weren’t regular old drunks that were sitting around.
I ordered a salad with ham & eggs on it. There was no dressing and for take out food they didn’t even ask or provide forks. Everyone else ordered burgers and they said they were good. My husband said at least two stars because he enjoyed his food.
My mother in law said that for some reason her uncle never wanted to eat there even though he lived within walking distance. Now I think we know why.

Up the Hill, its really the closest bar, plus its the 19^th (or 10^th for this place) hole. Always friendly service. I think that more people come here to enjoy the lounge than to enjoy their recreational facilities. There is also a resturant attached. The resturant has a great view. They use to have a steak sandwhich on the menu that was to die for, but its not on there any more. Everything else I’ve gotten there hasn’t been anything worth remembering to order again.
