My husband and I have been here several times and are always wowed by the service as well as the food. One of the best kept secrets in the Disney complex is that you can almost always walk into the sophisticated lounge area of this gorgeous restaurant and get a table without a long wait and without reservations. Two of our waitresses, Cassandra and Irina are extremely efficient, pleasant, personable, and make you feel very special every time you are there! Each has remembered us from previous visits, even though they may have been months apart, and has catered to our individual tastes, such as bringing my husband two glasses of water, or a big bowl of sliced, pickled jalapenos to go with our much-craved crab nachos. They even remembered that we like the exceptional clam chowder. There is a wonderful and varied bar snack menu available and a variety of specialty drinks, but you can also order anything from the regular restaurant menu as well when you are in the lounge. I had a Moscow Mule here recently, and it was better than any I have had before. We have eaten in the restaurant itself, sometimes with a large group of family, and can attest to the fact that all of the staff we have encountered have gone out of their way to accommodate some of the«quirkier» members of our family. Every dish that we have ordered here has been presented beautifully and with the freshest of ingredients, imaginatively prepared. I just hope I haven’t killed our ability to get a table on a spontaneous whim by revealing our secret on Unilocal

We had gone years ago and decided to go back. At that time the experience including the food and service was excellent. Today it was far from it. I order the dancing fish which arrived 30 minutes or more late. I even told the manager who came over after the meal arrived. The fish arrived dry. The Waiter pouring of he wine was almost non existent. Then he had told me that the food would be out soon. Even when the waiter handed the check not a thank you but rather have a good day. But it’s 9pm. The staff needs to be retrained. If you are looking for high end dinning skip it for now. Hopefully management can respond by getting it to what the restaurant once was and not complacent.

Typical Disney product. Overpriced and under delivered. Highlight was the service, but the food was okay at best and the atmosphere was worn.

Was looking forward to a wonderful experience as this was recommended by Disney. Our family of 7 were virtually yelling at one another to have a conversation. The food was mediocre at best but the bread was good. Service was ok. I’m thankful that the vino was good, but hard to mess that up when you know what to order. Definitely choose another restaurant if you want a good, overall experience.

Excellent burger and awesome people! In a place where things are a bit kid oriented, this place was a great break from the«mouse ears.» I don’t mean to imply Bluezoo is too adult for Disney, but rather that it is a nice place to grab a drink and not hear a baby cry. The people were its best asset. By the end of a short stay the friendly bartenders Danny and Jess were more like friends than people serving you. I even feel compelled to say that I know Jess does not spell her name with a «J,» but I also don’t know how her hippy parents spelled it with a «G.» So I am not going to try and spell it here. We popped in for a drink nearly every night since it had the best happy hour of all the Epcot resorts, and my wife and I had the burger three times. Plus, the bartenders were great for a resort restaurant bar. Indeed, they were great by any bar’s standards. It was great all around!

Had a private wedding party here in the back room and we were taken care of very well and overall the food was excellent. No set in stone gluten free menu however I just ordered a steak and mash and called it excellent. The cocktails they produce at the Blue Zoo are awesome and a quenching experience to say the least. The Blue Zoo cocktail was my favorite and tasted like chronic bliss. The food was excellent, service was great, and setting was beautiful. The interior had cool glass balls coming down with a ornate lizard made out of sugar crystal and the bar was a place I’d enjoy a few drinks at for sure. If your thinking about grubbing while here this is a great restaurant with quality service. The bathrooms are equally nice with cloths to dry your hands.

Another solid seafood restaurant at WDW(Flying Fish being the other). I had the clam chowder for my first course. Excellent. For my meal I had the simply fish dish with the crab sauce. For a choice of fish, I went with the Golden Tile. I knew nothing about this fish, but based on my servers descriptions went with it. it was a good choice. The taste stood up to the sauce really well. Underneath the fish was a potato and leak purée. My complaint would be I got only a small spoonful of this smeared on the plate. I would have loved a large scoop! A nice collection of greens too to round out the dish. Make sure you get a reservation if it’s a busy time. Parties were getting turned away the night I was there. My only complaint is that the restaurant is a bit noisy.

The food was really good, we came here for dinner with our execs on 12/6/2015…there were over 25 of us and so we had a back room at the restaurant and it was quite elegant. I had the teppan seared jumbo sea scallop, asian pear salad, organic chicken breast and passion tart! It was delicious and I was stuffed! It was nice that it was in our hotel and we didn’t have to travel far!

Best appetizer and drink menu in Walt Disney World! The restaurant is beautifully appointed and has a fun vibe. The décor must have won some awards at this point because is it beautiful. And yet the atmosphere they create makes you feel comfortable in shorts or dressed in a suit and/or cocktail dress. We saw both. This is high-end seafood restaurant but we were not up to heavy meal and decided to sit at the lounge bar that served tapas style small dishes($ 13 for 2). As you can expect in a restaurant like this the service was beyond stellar, with attentive, knowledgeable staff. Liz and Jessica, our bartenders, were outstanding. The creative small plates were very unusual and absolutely delicious! My husband loved the crab nachos. We are looking forward to returning for dinner.

A Nice Gastronomic Experience — Now can I get a little more light here? Food: 4.5 Stars The meal at Blue Zoo was a pleasant experience despite getting lost on the way to the restaurant. The menu is significantly proportioned toward seafood, probably 80%+. When by the water why not? Many of the dishes cry out to be tried but I had to settle on one of each course and I don’t regret any decisions(except the lighting choices for my photos). Appetizer — Yellowfin Tuna Tartare Beautifully presented starter with a nice portion of tuna that is astoundingly filling. Maybe it was the bread, but this dish hit the spot more than expected. It could have been natural saltiness of the dish? The flavor itself is hard to explain since it does have an impact. The only flavor/taste I remember being prominent is the saltiness coming through the silky texture. Main Course — Dirty South Swordfish The picture I post of the swordfish will be misleading. It looks tough and chewy from the outside, but it couldn’t be more opposite. The healthy piece of fish was crisp and full of flavor on the outside and soft and smooth on the inside. Good risotto. Dessert — Chocolate Truffles What an odd dessert, utensils not required. Personally I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this dish, but 8 varieties of truffles and 2 pieces of chocolate popcorn??? certainly wasn’t it. It was enjoyable, but I guess I wanted something more creamy and soft. The best one was the raspberry one(at least I think it was raspberry). It is a rather rich dessert. Certain parts of the churro dessert(the chocolate) look a little #2ish if you know what I mean. Drinks: 4.25 Stars Like Disney, Blue Zoo has a unique set of characters… or drinks in this situation. From Blueberry infused Russian vodka with rock candy syrup to red sangria finished off with liquid nitrogen(Halloween cocktail anyone?) you will get a delicious original cocktail with a bit of flair. Of course if you want to avoid all the confusion you can dig through their 20+ wines by the glass and other thirst eliminating alcoholic beverages. Service: 3.5 Stars The service is friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks, but it is on the slow side, even during non-rush hours. I dined here with a group of friends at 9:30 when the bar was busy, but the restaurant was mildly filled. If I was in a rush, I’d be prone to complain(what else is new), but since the experience is different, new and expensive I wanted to get the most out of it as possible. Ambiance: 4.0 Stars The early diners will get the best romantic/restaurantesque experience since the bar is empty and for the most part the restaurant is rather quiet. You can enjoy the décor around you comfortable seating and only source of light coming from the windows. Am I exaggerating here? Maybe a little. Later in the evening you will be serenaded by the 20’s crowd piling into the bar enjoying their evening. However it does get a bit loud near them and walking past them is the same as weaving your way through a crowded NYC club. If you are into a more lively dining experience I highly recommend visiting the restaurant during the twilight hour. Personally I act like a person in my twilight years, so I prefer a quieter dining experience. Overall: 4.25 Stars Blue Zoo is a great restaurant to visit on your vacation, but be prepared to spend approximately $ 75 per person depending on the dishes you order. My meal was over $ 100! The lighting is very dim, so make sure to have your flashlight app ready on your phone to read the menu. The décor/design of the restaurant is a semi-formal relaxing romantic setting. You will feel very comfortable there, however the closer you are to the bar the noisier it will be since it becomes crowded as the sun dips in the sky. Heavily seafood oriented. The service is standard for a normal restaurant(maybe a little below), but I fell it is lacking for an upscale location such as Blue Zoo. It is very easy to get lost finding this restaurant. We ended up arriving via the back entrance because everyone we asked gave us a different set of directions. Make sure to find the proper entrance to the restaurant instead of relying on the building staff. Despite all the little nit-picky flaws the food is exquisite. It was my second favorite meal of my week-long vacation. Make sure to make a reservation! What a pretty bread basket!

First class service! We came here for cocktails & football. The hostess tried to find the Raider game for us(they didn’t get the channel) so we watched the FRICKING Pats game & at posting this it was 23 Pats &17 Giants. Then… our waitress bringing out this(see pic) some of the best chocolate we’ve ever had! What sucks is that we have dinner reservations at Shula’s in about 45mins! We’ll be back FORSURE! Thx for a wonderful experience & we already had reservations for Thursday(I think) awesome job!!!

Bluezoo is definitely one of the highlights of the Swan/Dolphin property. Todd English certainly knows how to set the swanky mood in this upscale lounge. I’ve been here twice and mostly just for drinks, and the drink selections are varied. There is a solid wine list and an interesting cocktails list, but I always end up ordering beer here. Whoever is in charge of the beer and wine program is doing a great job, as both times there was something awesome to try. Last year, they had Ballast Point Sculpin before the rest of the east coast. This weekend, they had Cigar City’s white oak Jai Alai. Awesome to get to try those rare beers. The only thing I’ve ever eaten there is the margherita flatbread, which is very solid but not delicious. Service is usually pretty quick, it kind of reminds me of being at an ultralounge as opposed to a bar at Disney. But that must be the Todd English touch lol

Wow! This place continues to impress me. This is my fifth time eating here and I have never been disappointed. This time we had a party of four with my MIL and FIL. We had eaten on Friday night at Flying Fish and it was not up to past standards. We won’t be going back there again. So a lot was riding on bluezoo coming to the rescue on Saturday. And they hit it out the park. Next to the food, the best thing here is the management and servers. I always feel like everyone in the restaurant wants you to have an excellent experience. My MIL has a gluten allergy and our server went the extra steps to check if the scallop appetizer was gluten-free since it wasn’t listed on their special GF menu. She personally checked with the chef and informed us it was! We shared several appetizers. The star was the tuna tartar. It is hard to describe how delicious this dish is. Perfectly seared tuna with a great crust, slightly spicy sauce and caviar. Also had some oysters which were deliciously fresh and briny(love the minuette). And the scallops and short ribs were amazing as usual. A pairing that shouldn’t work but does. I had the dancing fish which was a bronzino. The slightly mustardy sauce is what brings this dish together. My wife had the swordfish and wonderfully prepared. A well seasoned crust but still moist. Forget the dried out swordfish you remember from the 1980’s. They know how to treat fish with respect. We had the assorted truffles which had so many interesting flavors. It was fun guessing what was in each one. The lime was the most interesting. I swear it had a touch of cilantro which sounds odd but worked. Also had the special popcorn dessert which has a special presentation at your table(no spoilers). Great service, cocktails(order their house special manhattan!!), food and atmosphere. This place makes you feel special and they make sure you have an excellent experience.

I wish I had been hungrier, that being said this place was wonderful. To start with the wine menu is top notch followed by one of the best beer menus I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. My meal started with Clam Chowder, you could taste the bacon that was used to create the broth, and the soup actually included opened clams… thumbs up! The Low Country Jumbo Shrimp was wonderful, positioned as an appetizer this was filling enough to be a meal. Okra mixed with grits? I’d never think of doing it, but it helps to complete this dish… again wonderful! Dinner for 11 admist a packed restaurant is tough, but they pulled it off. Thumbs up!

We chose this restaurant for dinner on our last night and what a great experience! Originally we wanted Shula’s Steakhouse but after a less than stellar welcome from their host, we went downstairs to eat instead at Bluezoo. Our server, Irina, was so lovely and attentive. Our drinks were always refilled and she answered all our questions on the menu. I had a special request to substitute clams for oysters on the raw platter and the kitchen came through with an eye dropping presentation. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly and don’t forget a serving of pork belly from the appetizer menu. Overall environment was relaxing with a few tv’s in the bar to watch football. We enjoyed the detailed table touches by the food runner and managers to make sure we had everything needed. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in the Swan/Dolphin resort

DELICIOUS! My fiancé and I stayed at the Dolphin resort when we visited Disney World over Labor Day weekend and we decided to dine at one of the restaurants in our hotel. Todd English’s Bluezoo has a lovely and classy ambiance(as a seafood restaurant, it does a great job of evoking that under-the-sea feel with its blue hues and uplighting), as well as delicious culinary options. Even the complimentary table flatbread and foccaccia bread and mustard butter was delicious. We decided to go all out and get several appetizers, entrees, and drinks. We ordered: –Yellowfin Tartare(with miso caviar, scallion cream, nitro siracha aïoli). This was delicious and definitely a decent portion for the two of us! –Miso Glazed Mero(hawaiian sea bass, shitake-ginger rice, black garlic, sticky soy). I ordered this dish and LOVED it! Definitely a decent amount of food and the sauce was delicious. –Steak with a side salad and scallops for my fiancé. He LOVED this! –Extra side of scallops. For a upcharge of $ 5, this was a decent amount of side sccallops. Delish! –I ordered a delicious fruity cocktail, while my fiancé ordered a manly Manhattan. Yum! My cocktail was called the«Zooberry» and was composed of blueberry infused vodka, fresh lemon juice, and rock candy syrup. I’m a huge fan of rock candy and really enjoyed it in liquid form. Just about the only downside was that the food took a while to bring out. Otherwise, the service was friendly and excellent. We absolutely loved this meal. Bottom Line — Delicious. It was a great dining experience for my fiancé and I. If you want good food while visiting Disney World, you need to eat at the hotels! The parks themselves don’t have quite the same caliber of food. We loved Todd English’s Bluezoo and Shula’s Steakhouse(the other classy restaurant located in the Dolphin hotel). I am definitely planning to visit Todd English’s other restaurants — since I live in DC, I will definitely plan to check out MXDC, his DC restaurant.

Todd English’s Bluezoo is an extremely upscale restaurant in the Disney Dolphin hotel. It is pricey but really outstanding from service to food quality. The ambience is classy and lively. They have wonderful cocktails and wine list to unwind either from a long day at the parks or a business conference. As you would expect from Disney, much of the food presentation is «show» whether it be tableside fileting of fish or tuna tartare with liquid nitrogen sriracha. I had the miso sea bass(delicious) and my colleague had the whole Branzino(also delicious). We started with the tuna tartare and heirloom tomato salad. A definite recommend!

I saw a sign for Todd English’s restaurant bluezoo when I arrived and was so excited. I was not disappointed! My mom and I got reservations for 6:45 pm on a Sunday– perfect after a long day in the parks. I was looking forward to actual quality food and beverages after spending time at Disney– and don’t get me wrong– Disney food has improved exponentially in the past decade or so… But I wanted grown up food! My first reaction is WOW. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with blues and silvers… The light fixtures were gorgeous. We were greeted promptly and courteously by our server, Matthew. He was knowledgeable, kind, and very attentive. He made excellent recommendations– particularly the teppan seared jumbo sea scallops and the miso glazed mero. He also recommended literally the best drink I have ever had– the zooberry. Hands down Matthew was amazing. He was attentive without being creepy, and he clearly knew what he was talking about, because mom and I both had the miso glazed mero. Mom said about the miso glazed mero–«I didn’t even know I liked sea bass!» I loved the sea bass– it was divine. And the scallops? Out of this world. The zooberry? Wow. And I didn’t even mention the bread… Yes it’s expensive. And I am completely ok with spending money when the food and service is that good. It’s some of the best food I’ve had in a long, long time and the service was by far the best.

Upon entering we were quickly seated and did not have reservations. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The menu was not very large but had a nice assortment of dishes. The wine list was extensive. For an appetizer we had the scallops with short ribs and the shrimp appetizer. Both were cooked to perfection and had distinct flavors. I had the Hawaiian Sea Bass for dinner. It was excellent. Our waitress was great. Overall an excellent dinner that I would highly recommend. N
