Happy hour heaven. This place rocks socks anytime, but happy hour is a special kinda beast. Think well made drinks, quick staff, free happy hour food that’s actually very tasty, and fun vibe! Food was yellow rice and pulled pork and good! I went back for seconds. Gotta have a little food when happy hour drinking right?! Bartender had a lot going on but had everything down and was fast. Plenty of parking in there back or free parallel parking along the main street if you can find a spot. This place fills fast so if you can get in early at the start of happy hour and grab a table it’s a good idea to do so! Overall: A+ Go to place for locals seeking a good time and great happy hour!

AMAZING Happy Hour from 5PM-8PM! 3 hours of delicious drinks at very reasonable prices. Of course the reviews of my fellow Unilocalers is what lead me to The Guesthouse. The Guesthouse fits in perfectly in the Mills50 district. It’s much larger than I initially expected with a huge bar and lots of seating options. Guesthouse offers one of the best happy hours in the area: wine, craft cocktails, beer(bottle and draft). Check the chalk board for their draft options. During happy hour on Fridays they offer complimentary food. I consider this a huge bonus as I was able to try food from a place I haven’t yet experienced. Parking — on the street or behind the building in their private lots. You can enter from the front or the rear. A local bar that is definitely worth a visit.

I finally came here for the first time last night after wanting to try the happy hour out. Unfortunately I worked late and missed HH! I decided to head in anyway and I am very happy I did. I love the ambiance of Guesthouse. It’s dark but not too dark. Open with a decent amount of sitting. I was actually surprised how much bar seating there was. A nice touch was also the music playing — I loved the playlist. I only tried the signature cocktails but they were well worth the price(between $ 8 and $ 11). The Moscow mule was refreshing, the highball was VERY strong and delicious, and the hummingbird was served in a champagne flute and nice and light. You can really tell that a lot of effort went into crafting these otherwise normal cocktails. Based on just these three drinks I had, I would come to this bar over many of the other bars I frequent in Orlando. I have to admit that when I first sat down at the bar I was a little upset because it took about ten minutes for someone to even acknowledge that we had sat down. No «I’ll be with you in a minute» or even a look in our direction. However, once we were helped the service was great and I had a great night. I will definitely be back but this time for happy hour!

This place was great! Ambiance. CHECK! Well crafted & absolutely tasty cocktails. CHECK! Freefood surprise-pop-up from Pig Floyds! CHECK! If you’re looking for 2−4 – 1’s, keep it moving this is not the place. However, if spending $ 8-$ 12 per cocktail won’t kill you, and you n’joy a dim lit, tastefully decorated venue with a more 28 and up typah crowd, you’ll love it here! It doesn’t hurt that they have the kick-ass Blaokrooseter taqueria RIGHT. NEXT. DOOR.

I love this place! The drinks are good, the bartenders are awesome, and the bar is beautiful. I come here Fridays for the 4−8pm happy hour(happy hour is everyday from 5pm-8pm). $ 5 army navies and moscow mules are a great way to start the weekend.

This place is one of my new favorite spots for a few drinks that is far away from the Downtown Orlando escapades. The place is quite big inside and there’s plenty of seating for guests. They have a nice selection of drinks and excellent bartender service. If you’re hungry, you can walk right next door to Black Rooster and get some amazing tacos. They let you bring in the food too. Guac and chips never sounded so good after a few drinks. Parking is tight in the back but they have a grass lot available behind it.

Loooooove this place! Great vibe and great drinks. I’ve been twice in the past month and tried almost every drink on their menu. I hope they change their menu from time to time though. It can get kinda loud inside, but there’s plenty of space to move around and parking is not an issue.

Honestly who does not love a good happy hour? There’s plenty of parking, the drinks are cheaper, and you get home at a reasonable time. The Guesthouse is the best choice for some heavy duty adulting in Orlando. Situated in the Mills50 area, it is a little off the beaten path, behind Vietnamese Colonialtown and a stones throw from Winter Park. The Guesthouse is easy to miss, but when you find it, you’ll be thrilled with what you find inside. There is plenty of parking behind the building. Just pay attention to the narrow one way entrances and exits. The Guesthouse has a chic and modern set up. The interior is reminiscent of an Art Deco boutique hotel lobby. Adorned with flamingos and comfy pool couches, it is easy to find a seat to fit your mood. The bar is in the center of the space, giving you plenty of space to sit and opportunities to order. I hate bars that make it impossible to find a place to order! They will take care of you here! The bartenders are extremely friendly and welcoming. They know their stuff and really make great drinks. Unlike other bars, the bartenders try a little bit of the drink by using a straw to extract a tiny bit. You know you’re getting the best. Happy hour is EVERYDAY from 5PM-8PM. There are $ 2 select beers, $ 3 house wines, and 40% off cocktails. Their prices are already low to begin with($ 7-$ 10 a drink) so just imagine how awesome it is. I kind of fell in love with this place so I’ve tried a few drinks already. My favorites are their Añejo High Ball and Army Navy. The Moscow Mule is also delicious. Order anything really. You won’t be disappointed!

A little hidden, we passed it but then found it the second go around. Parking is in back. Loved the space. Ordered the humming bird a proseco based cocktail, I liked it, very refreshing. My fiancé ordered the old fashioned and enjoyed it. No happy hour on Sunday. Will be back for more.

It might have just been the night I went but this place gets a resounding«meh» from me… it felt way to dark to see the friend that was accompanying me for some catch-up time and my second drink, a Moscow Mule, was served in a highball instead of a copper cup. Now, you may read that last sentence and say«who the hell does this hipster think he is and why does the cup even matter» but I would tell you(1) I do not and have never own(ed) a pair of skinny jeans and(2) the apparatus of which one drinks DOES make a difference which is why coke in a glass is different than coke in a plastic bottle which is different than coke in a can. Digressing. Cool spot, lots of room, unique feel, decent menu, relatively underwhelming for me. Would try again so it definitely gets an A-O-K 3 stars in my book!

Adore this place! What a great addition to the Mills 50 area. The space is nice and open — lots of seating options. They have plants all around which just makes me feel comfortable and at ease. I’ve been here twice now. Both nights were week days so they weren’t really busy. The staff was friendly, and the drinks come quick. They have beer, wine, and cocktails if you like. My personal favorite is the Humming Bird. Prosecco, elderflower liquor, soda water, and lemon! So tasty, just keep them coming! Can’t wait to come back

Place look familiar to you? Yes, it used to be the Peacock Room. You remember what it was like there, don’t you? Dingy and smokey(although you enjoyed yourself). Now take away the smoke haze, clean the place up and brighten it. Bring in more modern furniture. Throw a huge bar in the center of the room. Then proceed to serve up yummy craft cocktails. Now you’re in the Guesthouse. As I understand it, this is a creation of the people behind such crowd favorites as the BBQ Bar, so they know a thing or two about keeping patrons happy. In this case, we have a more upscale establishment serving up the old standbys: Old Fashioned, Tom Collins, Moscow Mule, Negroni; and a few I wasn’t familiar with previously(Army Navy(gin), Anejo highball(rum), Humming Bird(prosecco)). I am going to go out on a limb and predict that their menu will probably change, as craft cocktail bars usually do. Last time I went to the Guest house, I ordered a few Moscow Mules and grabbed a table with friends. Good times. My only complaint is the rather loud noise level. If that were somehow magically fixed, I’d probably be a regular.

Quite simply: my favorite bar in all of Orlando. Yes, you heard me… this is now my favorite place to grab a drink or three. First off, Happy Hour lasts until 8PM every day. 8PM! Every other bar in Orlando ends their HH at 6 or 7. As someone who might have to fight traffic to get downtown after work, this is fantastic! Next, they have a decent(but not expansive) selection of beers. I’m sure you will find at least 2 or 3 beers to fit your taste… I always do. But the real winner here is the craft cocktails, and the bartenders that make them. The bartenders are very talented, make delicious cocktails, and are more than willing to make you anything not on the menu depending on your likes. Overall, one of the best new bars in town, that just so happens to have a taco joint attached next door. What’s not to love?

This place is FANTASTIC! I found this bar here on Unilocal and could not wait to try it. If you’re going here, remember that they have a good amount of parking in the back. We got there around 9pm on a Saturday. It wasn’t too busy at that time, but it filled up very quickly afterwards. I recommend getting there around that time. I ordered one of their signature drinks, a classic Old Fashioned. It was perfectly made. The bartenders were very attentive all night long and were constantly checking on us even though they were ridiculously busy. Later on in the night there was a DJ who was great. It wasn’t too loud and he played great music. It was a mix of modern and old school and I found myself singing along to every song. I definitely recommend this for a date night or even just drinks with friends after work. And if you’re a smoker, there’s a nice area out back with tables and lights.

Craft cocktails at a reasonable price! The Army Navy cocktail will blow your mind. The vibe is super chill. I love that there is always a place around the 360* bar to easily squeeze in and order a drink. There is plenty of seating inside and out so it’s a great place to go with a big group of friends. One complaint is that it’s hard to carry a conversation with the music so loud but you can always talk outside :) Definitely worth a visit!

This place is terrible so no one else should go there so it stays not-packed always… Sigh, it’s actually amazing but please don’t ruin this Orlando. Let’s take turns coming here and not make it impossible to squeeze through the crowds to go to the bathroom and be able to order a drink within a reasonable amount of time. Anyway, blah blah, amazing drinks, great bartenders, décor is on point, great place for a date, the booths from the old BBQ Bar are great for reminiscing about the failed hookups you met there in your 20’s, fancy enough that you can get all decked out but not so much that you can’t also do jeans and flats, and all the other great things other people said. On a slower night I even was able to bring my 4-month-old when a bunch of us hung out for an hour(don’t worry, he only had one cocktail and wasn’t driving), and he was chilled out and fascinated by the mood lighting. So it’s also great for alcoholic infants.

This is just what Mills50 needed! I love how they have taken the old Peacock Room space and spruced it up. They’ve knocked down the walls, put a big, beautiful bar in the middle and lined the walls with tables, cozy chairs/couches, high top bars, and SOMANYGREENPLANTS! Between the plants and the gorgeous light that shines in, it feels like you’re enjoying a beverage outside or on a beautiful porch, while still being in the comfort of AC in the hot Florida weather. Love. The bartenders spend time crafting the cocktails, chopping off hunks of ice, lining the rim of my drink with oils from the orange and lemon peels, and really making my drink shine. My date and I ordered an Army Navy and a Negroni and both were perfect. This is one of my new favorite spots close to home. Perfect for a happy hour or Saturday afternoon drink. Looking forward to visiting in the evening soon too.

The Guesthouse is one of my new favorite bars and I’m thrilled it’s in the Mills 50 area, just walking distance from my house. A friend told me about this place while they were in their soft open and I luckily came the first night that they were officially open for business. When you first walk in(from the back entrance), you see a very simple and open layout. There’s a really nice bar in the middle displaying all of their liquors and beers, with seating all over the place. At 9pm, the place was comfortably full. I ordered the Negroni and Old Fashioned and each of them were only $ 10. Most places charge around $ 12. The drinks came out relatively quickly for how busy they were and they were both fantastic. The Negroni was one of the best I’ve had in a while. One of the things that really stood out to me was the ambience. The music was on point and the abundance of plants gives the place a fresh look. A lot of places in Orlando tend to go to two extremes when it comes to furniture — either your generic, run-of-the-mill style furniture which is blahh, or the super tacky style of furniture which is also blahh — The Guesthouse benefits from Makr’s sophisticated aesthetic with their stools surrounding the center bar and along one of the walls. There’s another wall with Makr-built benches and provides a lot of seating. After my wife chatted with one of the bar backs, we learned that all of their plants come from Porch Therapy. It was really cool to hear that they supporting local businesses and I’ll definitely be supporting theirs if things just get better from here.

Up from the ashes of the legendary Peacock room rises«the Guesthouse». The grand opening was this Friday(9⁄18). What a shockingly wonderful reuse of the old Peacock space. The wall in the middle was knocked down and now it’s just one giant space between Alphagraphics and Tony’s Deli(soon to be black rooster tacos). Much of the inside is taken up by the huge bar with an exquisite central mirrored tower showcasing all their fine liquors, beer, wine and beautiful glassware. The bartop is made of a nice smooth wide light colored wood, no rough edges. Banquettes around all edges provide plenty of seating. They are currently serving 6 craft cocktails gin, bourbon, vodka and rum. Moscow Mule, Tom Collins, Anejo Highball, Old Fashioned and more. They also have a couple dozen bottled and canned beers and a few draft. Additionally they have a decent amount of red and white wines. I saw a few friendly familiar faces among the staff which is always great. The atmosphere is a nice mixture of classy and earthy. Music was a good mix of pop, electric and electronic. The Mills 50/Virginia area continues to grow and reinvent itself and the Guest house is a very welcome addition. Let us celebrate with a few more drinks!
