We found this place on Unilocal and we were super excited to try it. Upon arrival, we noticed it was just an average size place, inside of a plaza. It wasn’t busy, but we gave it a chance. I ordered the Athena scramble. The menu said it had feta cheese, tomatoes, asparagus and mushrooms. I also ordered a side of biscuit and gravy. My boyfriend ordered the Mexican skillet that was suppose to contain chorizo among rice, beans, potatoes and so on. We got our food. My eggs were a funny color and I noticed the scramble was full of artichoke… I don’t like artichoke. The menu doesn’t state there is artichoke in the Athena scramble. My biscuit and gravy, after eating a half biscuit, I found a hair inside of the gravy. My boyfriends skillet was lacking chorizo, egg was over cooked and it was loaded with sauce. The table behind, the gentleman had hair in his food as well. We talked to the waitress, manager came over. Said her apologies and so on. She ended up taking everything off the bill. We did feel terrible because we aren’t usually the type to complain. It was unfortunate though because they were nice and we went in with a good attitude and all of the food items were just sub par. I understand that restaurants have their good and bad days. Unfortunately we came on a day that just wasn’t a good one.

Wisconsin scramble, simple yet delicious! I did however feel a bit off because I was alone and I was taking up a table. Even with that feeling my Server(Alfredo) was attentive, pleasant and I felt very well taken care of! Thank you Egg and I for making a single person feel welcome! Definitely earned my business!!!

We went here last weekend around 9:45am on a Saturday. Were seated quickly, server came and our order was taken. Good was great and everyone enjoyed it! We had the granola pancake with raspberry yogurt, crab egg Benedict and another egg combo meal. Fair price and quick service.

Waited in line this morning for 30 mins. When we were up next there were 6 open tables but the manager wouldn’t sit us because the kitchen was too slow to keep up with everyone else already. Waited another 10 minutes and left.

I was there yesterday with my 7 year old. It was my first visit and probably my last. We placed our drink order and when we received the drinks, we had to wait 5 minutes for the server to come back to get straws and spoon for the water and coffee. I ordered the crab cake Benedict breakfast. It was very salty. It was also very crunchy. I realized why. I found crab shells and egg shells in my food. I told the server when she finally came back around again, and she said«oh really? I’ll make you a new one». She didn’t seem surprised or embarrassed that t happened. The new one came and I ate half. Too salty. When checking out, the manager/hostess asked how everything was. I told her about the shells in my food. She said«yea, I heard». Without any regard or apology, she proceeded to cash me out and said«have a great day». The staff really need to be re-trained in customer service.

Great breakfast joint. Came in on Presidents’ Day when other joints were very busy this one was not… Although I am not sure why. It was delicious!

First time visiting and won’t be returning. Ordered the special for the day cause it had avocado slices on top of an omelet. When it arrived, no avocoados. When I ask the waiter, he proceeded to tell me they don’t have avocados today. How do you have a special for the day without one of its main ingredients? The manager gave me a side of guacamole to suffice. But the food wasn’t thay great and the service was mediocre. I won’t be back

The food is relatively plain. Been here a few times«just in case we caught them on a bad day» but unfortunately not. I usually enjoy breakfast places since I think it is hard to mess up eggs. The service was pretty good– but the food was too disappointing to give more stars.

The Egg and Me are okay, alright, for your standard fare American breakfast. Prices are a bit highish but that just might be SODO. Parking can be tight. My credit to the staff that looked overwhelmed working very hard holding things together; we weren’t effected as were others. I also respect accountable management and their response to my review.

I have been here before with my family, and we really enjoyed the food and visit. My husband and I had to be in the area for an appointment this morning and decided to stop by for a nice breakfast beforehand. It was not busy when we got in; we were seated right away, given drinks and placed an order. However, from that point on we were ignored entirely unless we asked for the waitress. Our waters were not refilled. We were not checked on. And after about 35 minutes of waiting we realized that no tables around us who had been there before us were getting any food. At this point we questioned the waitress to see how much longer it would be. She apologized that the kitchen staff was new and told us it would be 5 – 7 minutes. She still did not refill our waters or offer anything to eat that would come out quickly(I am 8 and a half months pregnant and was getting pretty hungry). After another 10 minutes, no one had still gotten their food and in checking with the staff again there didn’t seem to be any progress. At this point we decided to leave and visit the einsteins across the street so we could actually eat and make it to our appointment on time. I have never had to leave a restaurant without even eating, but I guess there is a first time for everything.

It took a while to be seated but the food was worth the wait. Our server was funny and very helpful. The atmosphere is pretty good and the booths are spacious comfortable. Food also took a while to come out it just seemed like everything was kind of slow motion. Great space for meeting up and talking. I would revisit.

We were frequent dinners here in the past for breakfast and an occasional lunch… never again. Horrible food, which took nearly 40 minutes to arrive at our table, and then not what we ordered. Nothing but half-sincere excuses from the manager.

Very disappointed they stopped doing kids eat free. Without this its not worth the price. Well over $ 40 for two adults and two young kids to eat breakfast. Food was ok but nothing special, service was ok but nothing special. Value is gone. Won’t ever return, much better options in the area for less than this place.

Really disappointed in this place. Save yourself the mediocre service atmosphere and food and go to First Watch instead.

It’s hard to mess up an omelette! My omelette was yummy, since I waited so long to write this menu, I kinda forgot what else I noted during my visit there. lol Anyway, I would go back there again to try some other omelettes on the menu!

Terrible. They don’t even use real eggs! If you get anything with scrambled eggs… They use powdered eggs. Service was bad. Stay away.

I had been to The Egg & I when it first opened a few years back, but it wasn’t really a memorable meal. Decided to give it another try this weekend, when we wanted breakfast after a 5 mile run. We were starving and didn’t want to travel far, so decided to give it a go. Somehow we managed to walk in during one of those breakfast time lulls, so we didn’t have to wait. Which made me happy, because I am not fun when I am hungry, or so I have been told. Our server was great, she immediately came to get our drink orders and let us know about the specials. I was impressed with their coffee, it was really tasty. Just what I needed! The Parisian Benedict was my favorite. My boyfriend ordered the biscuits and gravy so we decided to split both. The Parisian was by far the winner here. We both loved the croissant and hollandaise sauce became dipping sauce for the ranch potatoes and sausage, and basically anything we could dip in it. So good! The biscuits and gravy were good too, but kinda on the average side. Not bad, just not wow either. We lucked out because when we were being served our food there was a line forming in the waiting area for tables. It’s good to know this is a solid place nearby for our breakfast needs! ps– I believe they do serve lunch, but I was so focused on breakfast I didn’t get to look at the menu.

My first visit here at the Egg & I. I ordered scramble eggs with cheese, pancake, and sausage patty. The pancake is HUGE! I enjoyed everything. Everything was very tasty. I even tried the friend steak fajita which was tasty as well. The only thing I did not like at this location was the parking. Parking around the restaurant is minimal and searching for additional parking is a pain. A plus is they have a small banquet room of parties.

My pet peeve for breakfast places is charging $$$ for breakfast items. Seriously, $ 9 for a single waffle? To be fair, one of my hobbies is making homemade breakfasts like Belgian waffles, unusual pancakes, and stuffed french toast, so it is hard for me to justify spending $ 9 for something that I can make for $ 1 worth of ingredients at home – and probably better. That being said, the waffle was good, but not worth the money and nothing special. Won’t be going back.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We got seated quickly and had my first cup of coffee in about a minute. Great choices on the menu for omelette and other breakfast selections. Definitely a good restaurant but a bit pricey in my opinion. I am going back no matter the price though.

The Egg & I, Orlando, Florida Stopped at The Egg & I on Thursday, May 14, 2015 after my sisters suggestion. The restaurant is located at the Orlando Soho plaza. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter, didn’t give us his name, was very robotic. He took our drink order and left. When he came back he took our order. He wasn’t attentive at all, when asked what he recommended — he didn’t say anything just smiled. We ordered the pineapple coconut pancake and the crab cake benedict. The pancake was huge and super yummy! The crab cakes benedict was awesome!!! Lots of flavor! Large portions!!! The menu looked great, the place is bright and airy. Has an IHOP type of vibe but much much better! I found that it was pricey. We paid $ 37.00(no tip included) for the two of us. Would we go back? YES!!!

Great food? Check. Great service? Check. Great for curing hangovers? 5 star check. This place is bright and clean. I’m confident anything that you order would be on point. I didn’t realize this place was a chain. It had a very home-like feel to it. Joey, a middle aged gentleman, was our server and he was by far the friendliest server I have ever had. He was so polite and well spoken. Attentive and knowledgeable, this dude helped make my hangover go away with several water refills. And for that I give you all the rating I can possibly give.

I was very disappointed about this place. My boyfriend and I love eating out at new places for breakfast/brunch every week and ran into this place. It looked so promising with people waiting in line to get seated. First off the service was horrible. Our server was not observant and did not take any initiative to make sure our needs were met. We had to ask him to refill our water and instead of pouring us the water he brings it in a small jug and rudely slides it onto the table and says«here». He never came to check up on us after bringing our drinks or after bringing our food. He never asked us how our food was or if we needed anything else. We had to ask other servers for things because our server was not paying attention to us. The food itself was pretty bad. I ordered a Texas Skillet that clearly stated on the menu«Steak strips, red and green peppers, onions and portabella mushrooms on a bed of ranch potatoes with melted Jack and Cheddar cheeses and two eggs any style. Served with an English muffin.» The steak did not come in strips– it came shredded(and it looked unappetizing) there was no cheese and the potatoes were obviously frozen and microwaved. Also there were no onions and I only had 2 slices of bell pepper(one red and one green). It was pathetic. I had the intentions of speaking with the manager but they looked so busy and I knew they weren’t going to be the accommodating type. My boyfriend ordered sourdough french toast with ham and eggs. The french toast was too tough and the only he liked was the only thing they didnt actually make, the ham. To top off the bad food, they charged 3.20 for a small cup of orange juice and called it a large! My boyfriend ordered a regular cup of ice coffee for 2.50 and it was twice as much volume as my orange juice. Needless to say, I will NEVER be coming back here as the food literally made me sick to my stomach. Not to be graphic but I upchucked later that night having a headache and upset stomach throughout the day.
