I live in Metrowest and this butcher and produce shop was recommended to me by a friend. The crowds tell the story here and boy am I glad that I found it. As soon as I saw the sign for Baby Back ribs, I knew I had to buy some. One of the butchers told us how to bake the ribs. They were delicious and my wife was delighted. I also bought two 1lb snappers that I am going to cook tonight. The produce is just the same quality price and value. I have been back and I recommend Star to anyone who likes high quality, fresh and good price. After you are done, you can write your own review! p. s. all the employees are very nice too!

This is the best meat and produce market I have found in all of Orlando. I went here based on a recommendation of my landlord, and what I found was a diamond in the rough. The produce market has excellent product at excellent prices. I bought a few yellow peppers, 6 ears of corn, broccoli, and 3 ruby red grapefruit for under $ 5. On the other side you have the butcher, where the same discount pricing is seen. If you love to grill out but live on a budget, this is your place.

OMG A butcher that actually knows about meat! We were looking for a Cali tri tip and the butcher actually explained how a similar cut was the same just not cut at the traditional California angle. He picked up the meat and showed us the«tri» parts in the cut. Usually at grocery stores you get«If it’s not out we dont have it.» Also produce nice and all is priced right. Lots of cuts of meats. Also it is safe… with paid police outside. I know Mercy Dr. puts some off. It is worth the trip.

Cheap Meats and Produce! You can buy soooo much meats for $ 20. This place gets really packed esp 3 day weekends or major holidays. I get breakfast boned in ham, boned in sirloin pork chops, ground beef, fresh unpacked breakfast sausage here and SOME produce because usually I go to the asian market for veggies and fruits. This place and Freshfields Farms give you the best for your buck when it comes to meats and produce. The place and parking stalls are small. Staff are courteous, the check out is pretty interesting! You give them your meats, they bag it and give you a receipt to go to the next register to pay. You can get 2 whole slabs of ribs for $ 20! This area is near pine hills or the«rougher» part of town so try not going there at night. LOL

If you haven’t found this one yet then your spending way to much money… By far one of the most inexpensive meat markets I have seen around. For example, just last week I purchased 3 lbs of cooked shrimp, a pork tenderloin, and 2 lbs of ground beef. The total bill was $ 14 dollars, if I were to go to my local supermarket the shrimp alone would have been around $ 20. I go out of my way to make a stop there once a week. The only thing about it is that it is in a rough part of town so I would not let my girlfriend go there alone, other than that I LOVE Star Meat and Produce.
