I’ve never seen a hamam in the US and I was wonderfully surprised at how very similar the experience was to ones I’ve tried in Turkey. For those who haven’t ever tried a Turkish bath and are nervous, it is wonderful and your skin feels amazingly clean and soft afterwards. 1. Disrobe and leave your belongings in a very nice little locker. I love this places wood floors, you get slippers too. 2. You have a cotton sheet to wrap around body, and a robe while you settle into the private Turkish bath where you sit on the warmed benches and it is much like a steamroom, you pour hot water over yourself so your pores open up and your skin can soak up the heat and humidity, the purpose of which is to set you up for the exfoliation. The sheet comes with you. 3. Relax in the heat for a while 4. You lie on the slab and the bath attendant/masseuse comes in, applies some oils, and proceeds to scrub all the dead skin off you. As in it comes off in rolls. So yes, it’s is a bit rough against the skin(dorsnt bother me at all but I can understand how it would), but your skin will feel fabulous afterwards. 5. A rinse, and an airy foamy bubble soaping. So fun 6. Turn over, for the other side, again the towel is twisted up over to cover your hips 7. See previous steps. 8. Final oiling and a warm rinse and sprinkler shower It’s really is worth a try, the whole Turkish bath is beautiful, with lovely tiles and lights, clean and has a great ambiance. This is also a great time too get a massage muscles already relaxed(Victoria was both bath masseuse and masseuse for me and was wonderful, also they stayed open late and were supper accomadating). If I lived here I’d come all the time. I was extremely pleased to find this Turkish bath and will be back again!

I’ve been going here since 2008 to see Diana, the masseuse. I can only speak to her and the quality I receive from her, which is excellent. The current set up is much more relaxing that the old location, but unfortunately you still have to walk through the«salon» part to get to the«spa» part. Diana is amazing. She is the nicest person, a consummate professional, and so incredibly sweet. She gives a fantastic massage and always works with whatever areas are concerning you. I would recommend and have recommended her. I know Diana also does the Turkish bath. I haven’t yet had the pleasure of trying that experience. I wish the salon would let you put a tip on the card…

Well what is there to say… My experience was that the hairdresser ruined my hair that I was growing for over a yr… I specifically told him that I did not want any short layers in the back and wound up with a haircut that looks like someone cut it with a lawn mower… it was a special occasion and I left in tears… he just kept hacking at my hair… said he was texturizing it aside from the cut my hair was nice and soft when I arrived… he suggested low lights when he did my touchup… parked me under the dryer and after he thinned the ends of my hair so much he told me I had dry ends and that I should not use a curling iron and I should deep condition my hair. I have always taken good care of my hair and if it was dry upon my arrival why wouldn’t a hairdresser put on a deep conditioner… today a day later I feel the ends of my hair and they feel very fragile… I suspect that he fried my hair… the owner Shala has offered to have another one of her hairdresser fix my hair but I am not taking a chance on this salon… I walked out of there not being charged for the haircut but still having a bill of $ 160.00 for the color which by the way you cannot see the low lights. it will probably cost me a lot more to have someone else fix my hair and condition back to good health but I will not put my faith in any other hairstylist that I do not know. …the salon was very nicely decorated as others have said and I cannot blame Shala for anything other than hiring a bad stylist.

Colleen is an excellent colorist and stylist. She is consistent in her ability to give you what you want and keep you smiling the whole time your in her chair. If you need someone to fix a ooopps from another hairdresser, Colleen can do it. She is a delight and I love what she can do with my really crappy hair. She is busy but worth the wait.

Nice small salon on «Restaurant Rowe» on Sand Lake. It was my first time here, and it was a bit awkward since everyone there seemed to know each other and looked at me like I didn’t belong. I wanted to try out the sugaring and this was the only place(that I could find) in the area that offered the service. Cindee was really nice and was great at what she does. I can only speak for the sugaring experience here. I probably will go back for the same service but not sure about the others…

If you have sensitive skin like me, you should try thread eye brow instead of washing. Celeste does an amazing job!!!
