Great community to live in. I was reluctant to live here because of all the rumors about car breakins. I did my own research since I have friends who are police officers and had them check what was the breaking in all about. Most of them he said it was from people leaving items in the car and also unlocked vehicles. I always use Unilocal for all my reviews but I also do my own research. I had heard bad things about 55 West as well before I moved there two years ago but did my own research and my own judgement and in both places I have had no issues. Staff is great at Post Lake. Maintenance could be a little slow at times but they are improving on making sure things get done promptly. So all in all the units are kept clean, the community is super wonderful lots of things to do. I hope that my review would be helpful to someone else making a choice as to where to live. Remember most people take the time to bash any apartment in the downtown area versus actually putting positive reviews.

Horrible construction. It’s very loud, you can hear everything the neighbors do. For what I’m paying, it’s not even worth it. When we first moved in, we had cockroaches. The bathroom tub wasn’t well maintenance. Our kitchen microwave looked like it’s broken. Even our countertop had a big chunk missing. We also had our surfboards stolen off of our own balcony, I didn’t think that would even happen, but it did. Like I said, for what I’m paying, it is not worth it.

Like most communal housing setups, there are flaws here and there, but I can tell the local staff at Post Properties(and corporate) do their best to provide every resident with a positive experience. We’ve had issues with several residents leaving cigarettes or dog poop out but maintenance is quick to take care of it. Every service request is typically fulfilled within a business day. The new phase apartments are just a few years old, so they are incredibly energy efficient. The increase in rental rates(compared to Enders or the Villages) is made up for in the utilities savings. They do offer some great moving incentives and I’ve found compared to alternatives in Downtown Orlando, Post is actually pretty affordable plus there is plenty of parking and nice upgrades. The complex offers some really great amenities. The vegetable garden is my recent favorite. They even provided the plants and guidance to get it started. There is a recycling center and a composting program is in the works. The gym is well equipped and the free yoga classes twice a week are a great perk. The outdoor kitchen /sitting area is a nice entertaining spot. The complex doesn’t have their own pool but residents are provided with access to the 3 Baldwin pools. The management is responsive and progressive. They are open to suggestions and criticisms which is why I like living here. I don’t get the«you don’t like it? tough!» attitude. One criticism I do have is their policy that a rent payment is considered«late» if its not paid by its due date on the 1st of the month. That means if you pay by any other method than auto withdraw, and the 1st happens to be a Sunday, you have to make your payment by close of business the prior day. Since banks move deadlines that fall on a Sunday to the next business day, it seems appropriate that Post Properties should do so as well.

Terrible construction, you can hear your neighbors and everything they do. Overpriced for what it is

I just moved out of Post Lake last week and really enjoyed living there. I rented near the lake in the two story, two bedroom apartments and thought it was a really great place to live! I“ve lived in many, many apartments over the past 10 years due to many moves with my job and this is by far one of the best. Unlike other reviewers, I received nothing but the most friendly and attentive service from the main office ladies and they bent over backwards to assist me with anything I needed The maintenance staff once in awhile wasn’t the most attentive but a quick call to the front office fixed that immediately. The gym is nice and clean(and dedicated just to post residents), the grounds are very well maintained and my neighbors were excellent. I did have a few issues with my A/C, but it’s super hot florida, that’s kind of to be expected. The maintenance guy did ensure my A/C was properly working though, on a holdiday weekend, and even followed up with some phone calls to make sure I was happy. If i ever move back to Orlando, I’d definitely rent here again.

Our elevator has been broken for 2 weeks now. We moved out of downtown to experience better service and amenities. The BBQ on the community patio was broken for 5 weeks too. We pay $ 1865 a month for a 2 bedroom and even though our apartments are nice we never would’ve thought it would take over a month to fix things here. A rent reduction would be a nice gesture by the staff if they want to keep us around another year.

We have had multiple issues with post lake and their staff at Baldwin Park. You pay for what you get? Not here. You pay for luxury but receive grade D service. The front office staff helps when they want to help. You speak with one person and receive an answer then when you’re upset and speak with someone else you’re told something completely different. We’ve had issues with neighbors and A/C. When you talk to other residents they also have the same complaints and concerns. I’ve never had issues living at anywhere else and I’ve never written a bad review. I will never recommend post lake @ Baldwin to friends.
