I had an amazing Thanksgiving sandwich here. I would definitely return just for this sandwich. However, the peach tea tasted like water. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 is the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is poorly setup for a restaurant and small. It’s also a hippy place with vegans working there. There is nothing wrong with that but, it just isn’t my vibe.

Authentic and charming. You’ve never been to a place like Pom Poms before. The sandwiches are SO good, the tea selection is awesome, and the service positively delightful. I wish they had Pom Pom’s in NYC!

This place is so good. Everyone I go with always gets the Mama Ling’s Thanksgiving Dinner… which is great. Probably one of their most popular dishes, I would assume. The tea there is great as well. I have had a select few of their sandwiches and each one I loved. My friend and I shared the banana bundt cake with chocolate ganache and it was amazing and very moist(and the fact that the proceeds for that are going to help people made me happy) The only downside is that this place is small and popular, so if you don’t mind waiting then this place is great for you. I don’t mind the wait for some good eats.

I did individual ordered meals for an office meeting at Pom Pom’s. Since we do this once a month, we occasionally encounter some issues, but not here! The place is located in a small, slightly run-down shopping center and is small a quaint on the inside. They make fresh teas and sandwiches that are unique — nothing like Subway, Firehouse, Jimmy John’s, etc. — which was nice because I am not a huge fan of sandwiches. It does get super busy during the weekday lunch rush so prepare to be a little overwhelmed by the number of people in this tiny place, but even with all of those people, they manage to remain friendly, get your order ready quickly and make the meals consistent. Great for vegan, vegetarian or carnivores!

I absolutely love this place. Even if you don’t like sandwiches, I feel like you would like these sandwiches! My favorite is definitely Mama Ling Ling’s Thanksgiving Sandwich. The sides are small, but packed with flavor. The teas also come with so many different options, but the agave honey is the best. I like that their teas have so much strong flavor even when you get them unsweetened. The staff is always super friendly and sweet; They are always ready to answer any questions you may have. The atmosphere is very hipster; dim lighting, art on the walls, and limited seating. Vegan friendly and beer selection available!

It is a cute, little place that is nice to sit down for lunch and chill. We tried the passion fruit tea and Green tea with Thankgiving sandwich. The teas are really good, we had a hard time to pick which one is better. The sandwich does tatste like Thanksgiving and delicious. You cant go wrong with turkey and gravy. I wish we live closer so we coukd come here more often. They have weird hour for their breakfast menu though so check on that before you come.

So many incredible sandwiches it’s hard to pick a favorite! Pom Pom’s is a small space off Bumby with a friendly atmosphere and cool artwork by local artists. They have some of the best sandwiches in Orlando as well as teas of the day and a decent assortment of baked goods for dessert. I always recommend that first timers try the Mama Ling Ling’s. The Fu Man Chu is also a favorite. You can choose what bread you want your sandwich on and each bread is good. The pumpernickel and rye are my favorite. If you do the combo, make sure to get the pasta salad as your side! It’s a little spicy but so tasty. I come here often and try to get a different sandwich each time but I always come back to the fu man chu.

I walked into Pom Pom’s, which is located in a strip mall and quite honestly did not know what to expect. Realized it was a cool spot when I spotted three burly looking dudes enjoying tea, sandwiches and cupcakes at the counter. There were lots of hipsters who frequented Pom Pom’s too. Regulars were greeted by their first name. It was sort of reminiscent of the show Cheers, but with tea instead of alcohol. Had the pleasure of witnessing one of the workers chase down a customer who left their food on top of their vehicle. Without hesitation, she sprinted out the door to catch the driver before they turned into the street. She was able to save the meal and the entire restaurant erupted into applause. Now that’s what I call wowing the customer! My friend and I shared two pressed sandwiches — Roast Beef with Smoked Gouda and Mama Ling Ling’s Thanksgiving. Both sammies were exceptional! The only thing missing from the Thanksgiving sandwich was family. Our greedy selves ordered two large pots of Rooibos tea — Love and Chocolate Hazelnut. Neither one of us came remotely close to finishing either pot because we were so stuffed. Noticed that everyone was ordering cupcakes, so we took a Vanilla Grapefruit Cupcake to go. The next time we are in Orlando, we will definitely go back. No doubt!

Loved the vibe of this little place although it could be cleaner. I had the Fu Man Chu which was Asian pulled pork with goats cheese and fig which was excellent but two people in our party were«orgasmic» over the Ling Ling Thanksgiving sandwich that comes complete with the gravy. Be aware that this establishment only has 5 tables a partial bar and a big«sharing» table so depending on the time you go there could be quite a wait. Worth it, though.

It is with a heavy, heavy(and abnormally soft, according to my doctor) heart that I have to give Pom Pom’s less than a 5 star review, but I’ll get into that in just a moment. For the ignorant out there, Pom Pom’s is a wonderfully, delicious and refreshing break away from the greasy chains that infest the city of Orlando like a disgusting swarm of creepy, crawly Palmetto bugs(which also happen to infest the city of Orlando). Their tea is both ever-changing and ever-LIFE changing. Their array of sandwiches warms the soul and fills the gullet, and their modest selection of desserts will slap you in the face then promptly kiss the bruise in a way so sweet that you just can’t help but smile. Now… God, this is gonna be hard, but… The reason for the four stars(because I hate when people give a glowing review, but less than five stars and don’t state why): Their sides. Their sides, what few options they have, are disappointing. I’ve tried each of them and the quality of each is night and day with the quality of the sandwiches they’re paired with. Let me put it this way: If the sandwiches are out-of-this-world like the iconic Apollo 11, the sides are out-of-this-world like The Challenger. But, now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, I can press on with the praise: Their customer catch-phrase of, «I got tea bagged at Pom Pom’s,» which they sell printed on t-shirts, is fun and daring if you’re willing to shell out the dough to loyally sport that around town. I(along with probably every, other person and their mother) HIGHLY recommend the Mama Ling Ling’s. A year-round thanksgiving sandwich, the MLL is a feast for your face that’ll leave you feeling full, and fully fulfilled. The bottom line is: While Pom Pom’s glory and greatness could feasibly hail from some storied, Greek Myth, be careful what exactly you order. Get any combination of sandwich, tea, or dessert and you and your taste buds will soar sky-high like the blissful, old man Daedalus. But add any of Pom Pom’s sides into the equation, and you –or rather your meal– will plummet to it’s death like his poor son, Icarus.

After living in Orlando for almost two years and putting it off, I finally got around to Pom Pom’s. I’m not a terribly big ‘sandwich’ person, so it’s a bit difficult to get me in a restaurant with ‘sandwicheria’ in the title — but it was definitely worth it. Our visit was extremely pleasant and I feel like it certainly lived up to all of the hype I had heard over the years. I got the Low Rider, which has avocado, black beans, salsa, turkey & cream cheese, which after ordering I realized sounds like it could quite possibly be the world’s messiest sandwich. I imagined myself hunched over a sandwich falling apart at the seams and started to wonder if I’d made a mistake. However, that wasn’t the case at all. How that sandwich maintained its constitution without falling apart I can’t say, but it was friggin’ delicious. Even after being refrigerated the second half of it was still incredible. I almost feel like I have to reassess my anti-sandwich bias after one visit to Pom Pom’s. Their atmosphere is cozy and casual, and their hours are accommodating. It’s worth a visit for the selection of tea alone, but if you’re like me and you’re on the fence about sandwich shops, I’d definitely recommend giving them a try.

Pom Pom’s is everything I didn’t know I was missing in Orlando. It’s quick and inexpensive, it has fun, unique décor, and has a menu of creative, delicious sandwich offerings. I’ve gotten the Fu Man Chu and Danny’s sandwich(Ginger Cranberry Chutney, Almonds, Red Onions, Brie & Apples) with turkey, and can never get enough. I really appreciate how, despite the amount of ingredients on many of their sandwiches, I’ve never felt like any one overwhelms the others – the proportions of each are perfect, and blend together to make heavenly sandwiches. Pom Pom’s isn’t much to look at on the outside, but the inside everything you could want from a fun, cozy, artsy Teahouse. They have booths, desserts, and tasty beverages too, so it’s definitely the kind of place you could settle into and have a nice, relaxing afternoon or evening!

So delicious! As someone who is vegetarian and likes to eat healthy but be a foodie at the same time, this is the place to go. Amazing & yummy options that it is almost too hard to choose. & the prices are extremely reasonable! I even treated myself with a cupcake to go. I can see why it’s open 24 hours. Can’t wait to go back!

Great place, open late, yummy food, good customer service and yummy treats. Had the 4 cheeses melt and an apple pie. Decoration is cool, the place is kind of cramped, but the layout of the tables is good.

What a find! Doesn’t look like much from the outside but once you step through the door you are met with a chill vibe of art and playful décor. Stopped in for sandwiches and tea on my lunch break. First-Perfect Tea!!! I ordered my all time fav Green Jasmine iced and asked if I could have it just a «tad» sweet–«SURE!!» And it came out exactly as I’d hoped-guess the folks behind the counter also have some mind-reading skills along with their obvious culinary abilities. My date had the Viet Pom subbing the Asian Pulled pork for turkey which comes with carrot, daikon radish, cilantro, cuke and sriracha mayo-spicy squishy yumminess! I picked the modest #3 Turkey w/Ginger Cranberry on rye with smoked Gouda, red onions, and cranberry chutney-I had them hold the cream cheese because I didn’t want a thing to detract from it’s smoked Gouda-ness! The tea menu is more extensive than the sandwich menu and includes favorites like Jasmine, Earl Grey, Lavender, Oolong-assorted greens, blacks, herbals, iced, hot, sweet or NOT! Happy endings in the counter case included lots of mini cupcakes like red velvet, carrot cake and some multi-chocolate delight that melted on my tongue! Loved it all!

An Orlando must, for sure! The sandwiches and salads are unique, fresh and delicious. The tea list is quite extensive, so whatever you’re hankering for, Pom Pom’s is sure to deliver. I’ve even asked them to mix two teas together once and they were totally happy to! They didn’t even charge me extra. Pom Pom’s is open 24 hours a day! So, it is the perfect spot to hit up when it’s late at night and you don’t want to go home with an empty belly, but you also don’t want fast fried food. They have so many healthy options, your belly will go to sleep happy! The only reason I am giving them a 4 star instead of 5 is because of the space. I love the hippy dip, chill atmosphere, but as a wheelchair user, it is not the most comfortable experience because the space is so small and there are so many tables and chairs crammed in. I feel awkward, trying to stay out of the walkway and we’ve often chosen to get the food to go because of that very reason. I’m not sure there is a solution while they occupy that space, so wheelchair users, be aware that it’s a tight squeeze and you may have difficulty maneuvering.

If you believe everything you read in the gastronomic press, you’ll be thrilled beyond tears that we have Pom Pom’s here in Orlando. And you’d be 4-Stars right, but not 5. Yep, Mama Ling-Ling’s Thanksgiving sandwich is good. But it’s not perfect. In fact, it’s only a 3-Star item. Sure, it’s 5-Star creative, but 3-Star in execution… Why the chutney? Why not lingonberry or something interesting? Why the bread choice? Why not bigger, more gooey dipping gravy? Yes, the questions abound. Go ahead and hate this review right now because I’m not going to give it 5-Stars to be a sycophant of all the out-of-towners who think this place is sooooo imaginative. Yes, it’s imaginative. Yes it’s great. But do we love it too much because it’s our favorite after-drinking weekend place? My review comes from visiting it sober on weeknights, and, what I think is a bit more objective. We want to reward what we find comforting and we want to give it the highest rating, but does it truly MERIT that? Pom Pom’s scores well, and should score well, because it serves up savory goodness and it does it with typically high levels of service, even when they’re busy. But gastronomically, it lags a bit behind what all the USA Today raters rave about because it’s unusual to them. Sorry, but unusual doesn’t mean 5-Star perfect. So let’s be objective. The pastries and desserts are good, but nothing like what you can find elsewhere in Orlando… you’ll find much better cupcakes on Corrine Drive and elsewhere. The sandwiches are good, and unusual, but do the match the quality of bread elsewhere locally? Do the meats match up with the best? Are the seasonings the best? The soup is great, but how much better is it, really, than a chain place such as Panera on a good day? Yes, somewhat better, but enough better? And the beverages, while unusual, are they so much better than you can find in so many places? Maybe because Pom Pom’s puts them all together is reason enough to call it the best. But I don’t see that. I can think of a dozen places that combine disparate elements as well. This is not a negative review, but it almost needs to feel that way because it’s a cardinal sin in Orlando to give one of our own unique places less than 5-Stars if we live here. So let’s be clear: YES, you should GOTOPOMPOM’s. But no, they are not the best in any one thing. Not the best in combinations of things. But they are very, very good. But because of what they lack, it’s more important to have at least one review from a local who has dined at hundreds of places to tell you those exact things they lack… not from dislike, but because there need be balance in The Force. Yeah, you can get a Reuben equivalent… but often only with Corned Beef, not Pastrami.(It’s there sometimes, as my picture shows.) And not with sauerkraut, only with slaw… which makes it a «Rachel», not a «Reuben» and even then only an often over-salted version, not a real Reuben sandwich. Service is where you can’t complain. Even at 4 a.m. on a weekend, when the place is crowded with young drunks spitting and screaming, the staff here at Pom Pom’s will take care of you at your table and give you full service. I admit that it helps that I’m wearing a Harley T-Shirt and carrying a helmet with which to bash them away from intruding on my tiny table. :-) But the staff still is attentive. And that’s hard to do. And the creations they serve are more than just imaginative. They’re made with genuine care. It’s all wonderful. Oversalted and over-savory, appealing to a drunken palate sometimes, but made nicely. Frankly, I prefer their spin-off Tako Cheena by quite a mile. While it doesn’t have the service of Pom Pom’s, it has the food nailed cold, and hot. But I digressed. Come to Pom Pom’s. Come sober. Come on a weeknight and enjoy the full experience of the full service, uncrowded. Pick any sandwich. Pick any dessert from the amply-filled case. Then think about it. It’s a 4-Star experience. It’s wonderful, but there are problems with seasoning and saline, as I’ve expressed above. This whole review feels apologetic. I’m not sure the city won’t surround and attack me for heresy for saying it’s not all nirvana here. Yes, it’s drunken comfort food, perfect after umpty-nine vodkas. But in the clear, remorseless light of day, Pom Poms is merely very good, and not spectacular. Creative, but not genius. Wonderful, but not a lightning strike. Think about this next time you come hither and nigh to its salty goodnesses. Enjoy, but really TASTE. Then decide.

Pom Pom’s is a great place for a festive sandwiches and teas in a hipster environment. While I personally prefer Tako Cheena(Pom Pom’s sister restaurant), this is a fun restaurant. They have large and reasonably priced sandwiches and salads and a bunch of teas. I also enjoyed their side options(hot German potato salad and asian-style coleslaw!). They have great cheese options and the sandwiches are very substantial. The location is in a weird little commercial-looking plaza. The entrance and interior are sort of thrift shop chic. I believe this is part of what makes the restaurant so popular. However, I personally prefer a more upscale look. Overall, it’s a really popular restaurant. The sandwiches are pretty cheap and they have a lot of options for tea. If you have younger relatives and you want them to think you’re cool, take them here!

Pom Pom’s is easily one of my favorite places. The sandwiches and salads are ginormous and delicious. It’s easy to share with a friend, but I never do since I want it all to myself. The Mama Ling Lings Thanksgiving sandwich is incredible. It has all the goodness of thanksgiving packed between two slices of warm toasted bread. Can’t forget the gravy for dipping. Great, now I’m hungry. Another favorite of mine is the Low Rider sandwich(make sure to ask for the basil dipping sauce, it makes it even yummier, if that’s possible!) If you haven’t been to Pom Pom’s yet, you need to! It’s a cute little place with some of the nicest servers in Orlando!
