Planet Fitness – Orlando – Orange Blossom Trail and Holden Ave

This place has everythig i was looking for. The staff know their stuff and can help if needed

This has got to be one of the biggest PFs in the area. It recently (early 2015) doubled in size. Still, it gets really busy, even during the post-​lunch hours.
I have very few complaints about Planet Fitness, but deducted one star because this location seems a lot more «lunky» than other PFs. It’s still better than LA Fitness, but there are a lot of strongfat guys stomping around and socializing while providing unwelcome sexual advances to the women-​folk.
Besides that, it’s a good basic gym at a low price.

Ok first off yes its clean, its a decent size and there are plenty of cardio machines.
That being said, I don’t know about anyone else but when I go to the gym, its to work not to socialize. They only have 6 smith machines which should be fine (when I was a member in NY, they had 3 machines and somehow it was never a problem) but I’ve been going to this gym for a month now and I’ve only been able to use the machines 2 – 3 times. Yes it does get busy and if they machines were occupied by people working hard I wouldn’t mind but I constantly see people lolly gagging and basically NOT working out but hanging out/​sitting at the machines. Either chit chatting or playing on their phones, just. sitting/​standing there. taking up space. This week I saw a couple talking and laughing while standing at smith machine, they didn’t look like they were in between sets, they were just standing there. flirting? Another guy was sitting at the bench press just staring into space, I literally did my whole cardio routine hoping he would get up by the time I finished and when I was done he was still sitting there. Same day two guys were both on one machine but neither were working out, they were both on their phones and showing each other pictures. It has annoyed me so much it has motivated me to write this review and I have never written a review good or bad for any company. Luckily I didn’t do a contract, so I am definitely looking for a gym with either more weight machines or a gym with members who are actually serious about fitness.
That staff is great tho!

I like this place.

2 clean and new.
3 the staff are friendly.
4 not so many people, so I don’t need to wait.

BOTTOM LINE — it’s $ 10/​mo. What else is there to say???

It’s clean. It’s brand new.
Everything in there is new.
There are so many Treadmills and Ellipticals that I have never had to wait — even with this particular location being busier than any of the others I have gone to.
Plenty of room to spread out if you want to do floor exercises.
The staff is always very pleasant.
Did I mention — IT’s $ 10/​mo!!!
My only complaint is that every Elliptical and Treadmill has it’s own TV. I know — that sounds strange to be listing that as my complaint… but, I would always go in and do 40 min on either the Elliptical or Treadmill and I would pick one that had a clear view of the wall mirror. I would stare directly at my reflection and get in a trance — nothing else distracted me. It helped me with my balance, my concentration and to make the time just fly by. Now all cardio machines are obscured from the mirrors because of the TVs. I wish they had left 25% of them without the distraction.
