Good food, always fresh, super reasonable prices. Has some fairly exotic selections if you’re feeling adventurous, but my standard favorite there is a simple dish of noodles, shrimp, bell peppers, onion, all mixed up with shredded cucumber and a sauce you sprinkle over the whole dish(I think it’s called Bun Bo?). The environment is super casual — kind of like a diner. Go for the food & leave your high heels at home.

Very Impressed . We were here for some late dinner and this is one of the places that didnt rush us to finish up even though its almost their closing time. We got their Roti Chicken curry, Dark & white Meat chicken Phở, Tom Yum soup. Roti chicken curry was delicious, their Roti was deep fried Malaysian parantha which was excellent and the coconut based chicken curry was a great pair to the roti. Phở was super flavorful and with all the fixins added it was a perfect bowl to grub. My husband loved his Tom yum soup, he loves anything thats tart and he couldnt be happier with the soup. Overall great service, great food and clean place to grab some Phở

Who knew Orlando had great Phở! This hasn’t been the first time I set foot in said establishment. Every time my family makes their ~bi-annual trip to FL we always make a stop to Phở-town. Flavor is pungent and rich. Quanity is plentiful. Menu is extensive. Seating is bountiful. Price range is just right. If you happen to be in the Orlando area, this place(and other authentic Asian restaurants) are worth the meal.

I’ve been to Phở 88 a handful of times and am never hugely impressed, but not greatly disappointed either. The phở is definitely the best item to order on the menu. The broth is tasty and not too salty. Everyone has always seemed satisfied with their differing protein choices and selection of sprouts and vegetables. My friend did order pad thai one time and could barely eat it because it was so greasy. So, I say, stick to their specialty! I ordered a thai tea, a sweetened black tea made with condensed milk, and thought it was quite on point to other thai teas that I’ve had. Their service has never blown me away but they are pretty straight forward and prompt. The man was patient with our group as we questioned him about different phos on the extensive menu. It’s no Seattle phở joint but it’s definitely worth a visit.

I came here with my boyfriend pretty often because i get too lazy to cook Phở myself. This location is a bit slower than the on one east colonial. I came during the slow hour and it still took 25 to 30 minutes for the phở to arrive. So total time spent there was about 2 hours since we are waiting for the staff to come when we first walk in, eating, and then receiving the bill. I had the phở tai bo vein. It was decent but at times it can be overwhelming with salt which steers me away from this location. I hate that I cant ever ask a staff for extra water/basil/onions because theyre always crowded in a small corner called their workstation. My bunny had the phở tai chin which tasted much better than the tai bo in my opinion. They gave us a lot of noodles compared to the other places.

Walking in and seeing the demographics of the clients, I was a bit worried. Ordered the egg rolls. Not crispy, not your usual stuffing. It was pretty bad. Do not order. Ordered the phở Dac biet xe lua. Whoever said it tasted like the one in Westminster doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Noodles were soggy and chewy. Soup was bland. Unless you douse your phở in Hoison sauce and sriracha, you’re gonna know how bad the soup is. Ordered the com Dac biet. Rice was a bit dry and the meat was bland.

I tried phở for the first time here and it was very delicious. I had the vegan phở with tofu, and it was a nice big portion. It tasted very fresh and had a lot of veggies. The service was good, staff was friendly, and everything looked clean. I will most definitely be going back!

Place is not that bad. Please be careful when driving in the place. There are some days that the phở is good and there are some days that the phở has little bit too much msg. I tried their rice dishes, they’re not that bad. Their noodles are made right and their meat are good. Their viet coffee is pretty good as well. Their banh xeo is alright. If you order the vegetarian banh xeo entrée, it’s pretty big portion for banh xeo. I was surprised.

I’m on a quest to try phở in every city we visit. I only recently fell in love with this dish about a year ago, so I certainly am no expert on how it should taste. I only know what I like. I tend to like broths that are just salty enough that I don’t feel as if I need to add anything to enhance the flavor. My recent vacation to Florida allowed me to opportunity to try 7 Vietnamese restaurants in 4 different cities: Orlando, Tampa, New Smyrna and Ormond Beach. I had also bookmarked a location in Jacksonville, but by the time we got there I was pretty much all phở’d out! THESCENE Being in Florida during Christmas is sort of a weird experience for someone coming from colder climates. Although there are Christmas lights and décor everywhere, there’s no snow and the temperature was hovering around 81 degrees. The last thing I expected when walking into a Vietnamese restaurant was to see a band rocking out to Christmas melodies and dressed in holiday garb. It was both entertaining and strangely odd. THEEXPERIENCE The restaurant was packed, but we didn’t wait long for a table. It did take them an unusually long time to acknowledge us as we stood several minutes by the«wait here to be seated» sign, and took even longer for them to come take our order once seated. I actually had to get up and find the guy to tell him we were ready to order. He appeared to be more of a manager than server, probably just trying to help out. Still, all throughout our meal if we needed something we either had to build a fire and pat out smoke signals, shoot off a flare gun or annoy some passing employee that was not our server. As your average citizen, I have not yet mastered the art of using chop sticks, so I needed a fork. We also needed more bean sprouts, cilantro and basil leaves because the amount they brought us originally was suitable only for one person. On another occasion we needed napkins as well as refills… all of which required we make the effort to find someone! THEFOOD Although it took a while to order, the food arrived fairly quickly. Our order included: Meatball phở — Phở Bò Viên(3.85 stars) | $ 8.95 Of all the places we tried during our trip to Florida, this place is about as close to home in flavor as we could have hoped. I only wish it had been a tad bit saltier. I also thought the size of the bowl was fairly small in comparison to what you get in Atlanta for the price. Shrimp fried rice — Com Chiên Tôm(4.95 stars) | $ 10.50 The day I ate this I would have enthusiastically exclaimed«this is the best fried rice on the planet.» However, 12 days after dining here I experienced even better fried rice @ AA Garden Fusion in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Still, the rice here is not to be missed! Fried Spring Rolls — Tôm Thit(shrimp and pork) | $ 3.75 2 small rolls served with fish sauce(3.5 stars) FINALTHOUGHTS Service is definitely slow… believe the hype! However the phở is good, but not any better than most of your average phở places in Atlanta. The real star here for me was the fried rice. Perhaps the service is better when they are less busy, but on the positive side, parking is plentiful. I would definitely return here on our next visit to Orlando for both the phở and fried rice. I’d also be curious to try the Bún Bò Hu(spicy beef and pork soup) I’ve heard so much about. 2016⁄5

Came here with the background of eating phở in Houston and on the hunt for the best phở in Orlando. When you walk in, you can tell right away that you’re in an authentic Vietnamese restaurant based on the décor and aromas in the room. Service was extremely prompt and very courteous even at dinner rush hour. Started off with a Vietnamese iced coffee and a tapioca milk tea at 3.75 each. The coffee was one of the strongest I’ve had and although I prefer for it to come in a drip container that you pour yourself it was very satisfying throughout the meal. Milk tea had great flavor on the sweet side, best I’ve had in Orlando so far, and average quickly turned soggy tapioca. Would recommend ordering both and sharing for the best flavor combo. The overall phở experience is definitely the freshest I’ve had in Orlando from the condiment platter to the hoisin sauce to the meats. There is definitely a greater variety and quantity of meats, though only a quarter meatball in the phở dac biet, than I’ve had elsewhere. You’ll definitely get more than your fill with this serving size. Unfortunately, I judge my phở based off of the noodles and broth and both fell vastly short of my expectations. The noodles were on the verge of melting instead of having the elasticity that phở is supposed to have and just tasted cheap. The cloudy broth was a bit too meaty(like my failed attempts at homemade broth) and lacked clarity. In summary, I was sorely disappointed by the overall quality of the phở, enjoyed the freshness and meat diversity, and hope to come back to give this authentic Vietnamese restaurant another chance in the future.

Phở 88 is an unassuming restaurant in the Mills 50 area. Unfortunately for us, almost every seat was filled and a simple rice vermicelli order took 25 minutes and still not filled. We cancelled it to get phở which was a nice broth, but the beef was chewy and overcooked. Also, no thai basil and bean sprouts were served as is done at every other Vietnamese restaurant. Advice to hungry diners, skip the place if it is crowded or get phở which is fast, but chewy. Better is to go to Little Saigon which is faster and better.

It was fine. And perhaps I’m not the best to rate an authentic Vietnamese place. I ended up getting some Phở and it had some pretty interesting stuff in it — like tendon. I ate it even though I was a little grossed out(because this is the experience). I can truly say that if it was tasty I would say so — it was just ok, not bad but not great either. If you know your Vietnamese food however and you know what you like, perhaps you will love it. It was just normal to me — regular Vietnamese food in a regular place — nothing too fancy, nothing horrible. Side note — I do like that they had bubble teas.

I met a friend of mine here for lunch one afternoon. He had never been here before, but I have. My friend enjoyed several appetizers for his lunch. The chicken wings they serve here look absolutely awesome. I had some shrimp spring rolls, you know, the kind that you can see through the wrapping. They were served with that delicious peanut butter sauce, that sauce was all gone by the time I was done. I also enjoyed a brisket phở(soup, for you newbies). Of course I poured all of the side vegetables that they bring to the table. The soup is so hot, that it cooks the vegetables while it’s sitting in the broth. I had a lovely time with my friend Jonathan. We both cleaned our plates. Pho88 is worth a return visit.

Bun Rieu is probably one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes if I’m not in the mood for Phở. Sadly, not a lot of restaurants make it since it’s such a special dish. I was glad to see it on the menu here so I had to order it! It was delicious and tasted just how a Bun Rieu should taste — plump vermicelli noodles with a nice hot crab and tomato broth with pieces of crab cake and fried tofu. I always add the basil and the jalapenos in too! So glad they had this on the menu!(I also recommend the bun bo hue if you like spicy noodles). I also ordered the summer rolls(the fresh spring rolls(Goi cuon) with shrimp) and it was really disappointing so I would skip out on that. My friends had the chicken phở and the bun bo hue and they loved their dishes. They also ordered a vietnamese coffee with the condensed milk and an iced tea and they both enjoyed that as well. Overall, the restaurant is fairly big, clean, and spacious and the service was good. Food was good and there is plenty of parking! Oh also, they accept Credit cards!

Having number 36. Well done brisket phở. It’s amazing. I met some family from out of town. My family has a baby. The servers and staff were super helpful in getting the little one accommodated. Everyone has been friendly and since I have never eaten anything like this I had a bunch of questions. I also have allergies so I had to make sure everything would be cool for me. The staff was really patient. I def recommend it.

I had a chance trying out this Vietnamese restaurant after visiting Universal. Although it was bit of drive from where we were the food definitely made the trip worthwhile. Upon arrival the parking lot was already pretty packed but luckily they have an additional lot connected in the back given the popularity of this place. Inside the restaurant is bigger than I expected easily can seat up 15 – 20 tables. The decorations and furnishings are quite minimal much like a typical Vietnamese restaurants I visited. As others have mentioned the prices are very attractive here and portion is pretty standard. I regretted not getting a phở with everything in it rather just had steaks. Phở is definitely pretty solid good amount of steaks and broth is not too salty or sweet. I also got to try a grilled pork rice plate. The pork portion could definitely be more but I liked the other assortments of eggs and veggies that comes with it. Although the pork skins were a bit bitter I thought. Summer rolls were pretty standard but the peanut sauce is certainly very well made. I remember the server came to check up on us multiple times to make sure we got everything we need so definitely weren’t neglected. Overall I thought it was a solid 4 star experience just wished we had more time to visit again to try their other menu options. But if they were definitely up to par with the many awesome Vietnamese restaurants I’ve visited within US

I have to say that I have been to many phở/Vietnamese restaurants having grown up in Orlando. This phở restaurant has its merits, such as affordability, but the taste does not compare to their competition on Primrose. The summer rolls(they call them spring rolls) were bland and tasteless — the texture was good and the peanut sauce was fresh. The banh mi we ordered had bread that was soft — I don’t think I’ve ever had a banh mi with soft french bread? The noodles were OK, but the soup was kind of bland. Probably will stick with the ones off Primrose from now on.

A friend and I stopped in one evening to try out one of the many Phở/Vietnamese restaurants on and around Mills Ave. We each started out with an appetizer. I chose the vegetable summer rolls and my friend got the roasted Quails. My summer rolls were very good! There was an Asian hot sauce at the table that paired nicely with the summer rolls. All around fresh & delicious! The roasted quails came out and they looked fairly good. I tried one of the little birds and what it was like eating a chicken. The flavor profile was okay, but I found myself using a lot of the hot sauce. Entrée: I chose a Vermicelli with spicy vegetables and shrimp! Overall, it was amazing and I would absolutely get it again. The Vermicelli was cooked correctly and the dish flavoring was exactly what I was looking for. All in all, the service was pretty good and the venue had a mostly younger crowd. The food was what I was looking for and I intend to return again someday!

This place is good, but not the best I’ve ever tried as far as authentic Vietnamese goes. The phở and summer rolls were good. The phở is a great big portion loaded with veggies just the way I like it. Summer rolls were also yummy with shrimp. They have a lot of different soup options to choose from which was nice. The inside is your typical family owned Vietnamese cafeteria, no frills. It’s a good place for a quick lunch, but with so many Asian restaurants on Mills and Colonial you could find better.
