Horrible is an understatement. The food tasted like it was from the can and heated up from the microwave. Why do restaurant people thinks we are idiots and can’t tell difference between great food and dog food. The only thing good at this place is the bread but it’s definitely not worth the $ 150 we spent. Will not be coming back here again…

Set up if the restaurant is kind of awkward, more like a pizza joint then a $ 15 – 25 pasta plate type place. Service was lackluster. The margherita pizza was very good, the arincini vari was okay. The bolognese was pretty good, however the pear and ricotta filled tortellini was just Okay, and the sauce was basic.

Have been to this restaurant 3 times and the first two times I would have given 5 stars. I lived in Italy for years and the restaurant was as good as some of my favorite restaurants in Florence. Went last night, not only poor service but the food was sub standard to say the least. The best thing about the meal was the bread $ 100. for good bread does not constitute a good meal. They served us ricotta cheesecake that was probably made when the restaurant first opened. Shame on them. Now I see why the establishment was empty. Will not return. So sad…

The BEST! Food is fresh-made & like dining in Italy. The crispy bread is to-die-for. Watching Executive Chef & Owner Barbara Alfano, from Italy, prepare the food was a real treat. The fresh cauliflower & arugula salad, such a delicious blend of flavors. The margherita pizza tasted like the best pizza we have ever had, in Naples, Italy. Italian music in the background & a complimentary limoncello after dinner – favoloso. This is a new favorite & we WILL return when back in Orlando. Grazie, Barbara.

I found the tables to be very close together. The food was good. I think the prices were a bit high for what you get. The service was the best thing of my time there.

My baby ordered the whole fish which I must admit is one of the most amazing dishes I have tasted. If i was to only review the fish my rating would have been a lot better. They messed up my order, I ordered steak with arugula and What I got was steak with spinach. So I asked for the menu to make sure that I did order the correct thing and I did, then the server tells me, «you could have told me you didn’t want spinach» I didn’t order spinach and didn’t think I should mention that I didn’t want something I didn’t order. With that comment and the fact that I didn’t quite care for the steak either, I opted not to order anything else. In the end, if you must try this great tasting fish, don’t hesitate.

Peperoncino exceeded my expectations with just one little dish. Yes, it’s true, just one little dish. Their Fiori di zucca(stuffed/fried zucchini flower or stuffed squash blossom). More restaurants in Central Florida need to add these sweet delicate gems to their daily menu. Ever since I tried them in Los Angeles, CA, which is readily available over there, I’ve been hooked. Peperoncino put just the right amount of cheese and salt to give it an unresistable savory bite. Their dinner menu changes to reflect the fresh quality ingredients that they cook with as well as the with the season. The inside of the restaurant is small and intimate, reminds me of the size of very good restaurants in NYC and Chicago. I’m definitely going to return to try their lunch or dinner items.

Great first experience here. Our waitress was well versed in the menu half being maintained year round and the other half seasonal. The sangria was good along with the starting bread. We enjoyed the risotto balls and roasted peppers with cheese appetizers. I ordered the pork gnocchi which was good but my friends lasagna was way better. So flavorful and perfectly cooked… Yum!

The BEST Italian restaurant in orlando We visited there last week. Even though there was a party, they accommodated us at the bar. The service was superb as well as the food. I have traveled to Italy often and this food was equal to the Italian bistros in Europe. The osso bucco and sausage with peppers was perfect. The simple Gelato dessert topped off a perfect meal. Will try to return often!

This is Brian’s wife. I don’t do social media or reviews but tonight I’ve made an exception. Do not miss out on this amazing place. It’s an intimate location with amazing food. You can watch the chef at work from anywhere in the restaurant. The menu has adventurous options and some standards. Even the standards are anything but ordinary. Our family had 4 dishes and all were home runs! Don’t overthink this decision… just come here. God I wish this place was in Raleigh, NC.

One of the most authentic and low-key spots in Dr. Phillips. There are several Italian restaurants in the area but this one is the best. The menu changes every day depending on what the chef makes and the meal is always delicious. Perfect portions, not family-style like some Italian spots and the food is high-end quality for a decent price. My must tries: Pear and Gorgonzola gnocchi Seafood pasta

I was introduced to this great little restaurant while in Orlando on business. Do not let the place fool you by its looks. Sous chefs behind the bar visible cooking your food. The menu changes and the food was well prepared and very fresh. I ordered the pork shank and it was out of this world tender and extremely delicious! The location is on restaurant row and 10 mins from Disney world resort. I will be making my way back to visit them the next time I’m back in town.

Awesome experience from the food to the ambience to the service. During our week in Orlando we went to Deep Blu and The Rusty Spoon(after we had been here), and while they were both good in their own right, we kept comparing both against Peperoncino and the bar had been set too high. Strongly recommend this restaurant. Had to change our reservation and they were extremely accommodating. The setting is small and intimate with an open kitchen that is extremely inviting. The food is authentic Italian and they have two menus. The first is comprised of their signature dishes while the second is a new menu each day. For context, the chef and co-chef could be heard speaking Italian to each other throughout the night. The waiters were all extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer every question we had. We also learned that one of the amazing deserts on the menu was made by one of the waiter’s(Italian) mother. A real family affair. To the food. The bread they serve was warm and dusted with fresh parmisian. We started with the antipasti platter which was very fresh and had a nice accompaniment of hot peppers, olives, and pickled onion. My girlfriend had the spicy sausage(house made) and ricotta stuffed bell pepper that came with a side of pasta, this was a daily item so it might not be available. I had the Cioppino which had an abundance of fresh seafood including scallops, mussels, clams and shrimp. It also comes with sausage, for a small up charge I swithced it to the in house made spicy sausage. Well worth it. For dessert we had the tiramisu. Wish this restaurant was closer to home.

Always consistent, always authentic fresh Italian dishes. We started with the radicchio salad, then the risotto with lagostinis was superb! As desert, the Limoncello Tartufo.

Peperoncino is very small and quaint restaurant. However, don’t let the size fool you. The food is over the top. The kitchen resides behind a bar counter. It may look like an upscale diner, but it don’t let that deter you. The food can be described in two words: flavorful masterpiece. Everything inside the establishment screams Italian. From the menu to the master chef, Peperoncino is a traditional and authentic Italian restaurant. I ordered an appetizer, soup, first course, second course, and dessert. Each dish served brought back memoried of Italy. The wine list wasn’t vast, but the choice of wine they had was excellent. The menu had a certain theme and it does change. It has something for everyone. You won’t be disappointed. One thing you need to understand with authentic Italian restaurant, the service may be a tad slow because the food is made to order. I can assure you that it is worth the wait. The waitress is very knowledgable of the menu and wine list. The master chef is an expert of her trade. I can only recommend to get there early because the establishment is somewhat small. Thus, it does get pack during dinner. When I eat at an Italian restaurant, I alway compare my experience to restaurants I dined in Italy. I can honestly say that Peperoncino can compete with many of the fine restaurants in Italy. It is so nice finding an authentic Italian restuarant. I love the Italian culture. I love speaking the language. I love Italian food. Peperoncino has it all. Bravo!

I gave it three stars just because they were understaffed. We came here for a private party, the restaurant is small max capacity is 50 not including outside. We were a group of 38 including 3 kids The service in the beginning was slow as I believe they were overwhelmed It was an open kitchen and a tiny bar area where they prepared the espresso drinks also. It was good seeing them cook the food as well as the amazing smells. The owner is also the executive chef, we had three options a veggie dish bolognese or chicken parm. I opted for the chicken parm which was good but wished I had gotten the veggie dish as it looked amazing and smelled amazing as well. The chicken parm was served in wax paper as the spaghetti was cooked first then baked with the chicken in the wax paper and served piping hot. I def want to go back to try the bolognese as people at the party were raving about it. The restaurant itself it small so even for our group it was a tight squeeze. The did have outdoor table and chairs to sit, on a cool day it would be nice to sit and eat and enjoy the fountain view. I will def be back
