I wish we were able to come here for a meal. The menu looked amazing(and the service was good), but we weren’t there to eat. The beers on tap were all more upscale and artisanal than my pedestrian tastes, so for me it was settling for a different beer than I would have liked.

Tl; dr: innovative food, great drinks, a little pricey, difficult parking. This is a short walk from the Ivanhoe area with a good mix of innovative food ideas and excellent cocktails. We frequently come here to enjoy some of the downtown atmosphere without the hassle of overly inebriated customers or difficult to get in restaurants. They have two sections with the tap room area being the best for couples and small groups. Service is always fantastic but parking can be a chore since they are now doing construction for i4 in the area. There’s parking on the street and bike parking nearby. Their ice cream flavors are unique, definitely try a flight. Sometimes they don’t pan out though. Just be prepared for 50 – 60 $ for two people.

Absolutely love everything about this place, from the outdoor seating to the friendly wait staff to the RIDICULOUSLY good food. Have been for both brunch and lunch(no dinner yet!) and have loved it every time. I keep coming back for the homemade reuben sandwich. The meat is fantastic. So is the sauerkraut. But the best part might be the bread, which is seared in duck fat for extra flavor and crunch that ties all the different elements together. I have not had a better reuben. Make sure to wash it down with a Mexican Coke(the only real way to drink a Coke!) The french toast during brunch is splendid. So are the chicken and biscuits. OK, anything here is splendid. Go forth and enjoy!

The best food in downtown Orlando that I have had. It’s certainly more expensive than most of the other places, but that is because they do pretty much everything in house(making their own cheese, sauces, sausage, etc.). Last time I went I got the special burger it was $ 20, but it was the best burger I’ve had. Also, know that I am a huge ketchup fan, and had to use the housemade ketchup which I don’t like as much as normal ketchup and I still think it was the best burger, I can’t even imagine what it would have been like with simple heinz Ketchup. Also in the past I have gotten the short rib tacos, and a German style plate with sausage and cabbage, both were excellent. But all of these are things I figure I would like, the proof of a truly great restaurant is liking things you don’t normally like, and from this place, I want to give a shout out to the Brussels Sprouts. Even without the added bacon(the person in our group who got them is vegetarian) they were still amazing! Like not just the best one’s I’ve ever had, but legitimately very good.

Amanda and I stopped in here Monday evening not really knowing what to expect. We decided to sit at the bar and a couple friends of ours randomly showed up and joined us. Our bartender was extremely nice, informative and made us some great Old Fashions. The portions were actually good size in comparison to other places in town with similar menu items. We had the Wagyu beef tartare and it was one of the best I have had anywhere! The Cheese and Charcuterie Board was really good except for they forgot a couple items. We found this out when our friends received their board and they had more assortment of pickled items and mustard that we did not receive. An oversight on their part but not enough to upset us. lol The Reuben… outstanding! Possibly the best Reuben we have had anywhere. Luscious hunks of perfectly cooked and seasoned corn beef. Great bread all around as well! We would have ordered more but we were stuffed at that point and had to go somewhere. We could have ordered the entire menu! Our friends also let us try their smoked fish dip… AWESOME! We will definitely be back as much as possible. I told my buddy Mike at work and he said he knows the Chefs Matt Wall(Exec) and Ian Hollman(Sous) there and we talked for a while about how great the place is. If you have not been here you must try it to believe it. In my opinion it is one of the top(if not number 1) gastro pubs in Central Florida. I saw a rediculous review comparing their chicken to Wendys… what a complete idiot(a real foodie I imagine). Maybe it just wasn’t their day. LOL Everything made from scratch right down to the delicious bottled hot sauce and ketchup! Keep up the fantastic work guys and we will be back asap! Oh and the ice cream flight was super delicious as well!

I’m upping my review to four stars as the food I’ve had lately has been outstanding. Two of the standouts were the nutella French toast and the chorizo grilled cheese. It was the best grilled cheese sandwich I’ve ever had. It came with French fries with house made ketchup which were also delicious, and the portion was large enough for my boyfriend and I to share. We also ordered a pizza that night and most of it came home with us. Service has also been great and we enjoy dining out on the patio.

I think I have found my new favorite brunch spot! My husband and I went to North Quarter Tavern for Sunday brunch and to celebrate my birthday. When I heard they offered bottomless mimosas, it definitely got my attention. We arrived a little after 12:30 and were seated on the patio per my request. It was a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Our server Cameron greeted us and got us started with water and mimosas right away. She was very good about keeping our glasses filled the entire time. Toward the end of brunch, she told us they were running very low on champagne. However, she somehow found some more and was able to get us each a final tall glass of mimosas before we left. She’s my hero! Now the food… Everything was delicious. We started off with the breakfast poutine. The serving is huge! It was soo tasty. You definitely have to get this if you go for brunch. I got the chicken and biscuits. The restaurant actually pickles their own pickles and I really enjoyed the flavor of the pickles on my chicken and biscuits. They also make their own hot sauce– very good. The chicken was tender and juicy. My husband got the breakfast skillet which was also yummy. We ended up leaving stuffed and with a box of leftovers. Cameron knew I was celebrating my birthday and she was so wonderful and wished me a happy birthday. She answered all my questions and had great recommendations. Overall we had an awesome experience and can’t wait to go back and try more of the amazing food.

A must try! North Quarter Tavern may be my new favorite brunch spot in Orlando. Scrumptious food, unlimited mimosas(might as well be called unlimited champagne), yummy bloody Mary’s and a great vibe. Food — huge portions that are delicious. My friend had the chicken and waffles. Boneless, flavorful, moist… Delicious. I had a southwest grits dish, I can’t recall the name of the dish but it was delicious! The grits weren’t clumpy, weren’t runny, they were just right. I tried the breakfast pizza that another friend had ordered, so delicious! There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our meals. Also, each one of us took leftovers home. Drinks — unlimited mimosas for only $ 10! Yes please! I also had a Bloody Mary for $ 5. They don’t use zing zang which is my favorite mix, but it was still very good. I’ll be back!

You must try the brussel sprouts. Even if you normally hate them you will LOVE these. Heavenly! I had the way overpriced but damn tasty aged beef burger special. It came out rare… as opposed to the medium well I had asked for. I HATE sending food back but our server was gracious and sent me home with extra hand cut french fries to make up for it. The service here was super attentive, all the entrees that came out of the kitchen looked good, and people seemed to really enjoy themselves in the outdoor seating.

North Quarter Tavern = Shut Up and Take My Money! I’ve been twice and I would say I’ve been left wanting more each time but that’s kind of a lie because YOUWILL leave full. Parking can be kind of pain as it’s all street parking so if it’s busy or you can’t parallel park you might have an issue. But back to the important stuff… THEFOOD. I feel like Fat Bastard from the Austin Powers movies when I’m here. GETINMYBELLY! They house make everything down to the ketchup and hot sauce. I’ve had a burger and fries and the chicken biscuit from the brunch menu and both were amazing. I’ve recommended this place to many of my friends and will continue to go back myself.

I’ve been to this newly opened sister restaurant to Citrus and have been impressed both times. The first time was for a business lunch with drinks at the bar and Megan the bartender was a riot. She is knowledgeable, entertaining and gives great customer service. We also ate the heirloom tomato salad and it was perfect. The 2nd time I visited I was surprised to find a former partner chef was working there and couldn’t have been more pleased. Chef Jason is responsible for all of the house cured meats, artisanal cheeses and pickled vegetables. Beyond a doubt the best Charcuterie board I’ve ever had. I highly recommend a visit here for the excellent foods, great cocktails and exceptional service. Ask for Megan or Chef Jason and definitely let the Manager, Jared, hear about your experience.

This place is excellent. I’ve never been to Orlando and I’m staying at a hotel within walking distance of this tavern so I figured I would try it out. Everything was delicious and according to my incredibly nice bartender made from scratch. I had the Tavern Burger with fries: the burger was the best burger I’ve had in a very long time and the French fries were probably the best I’ve ever had along with their ketchup which is also the best ketchup I’ve ever had. Also, the bartender was great at suggesting local Florida beers for me. I would highly recommend coming here !

I’ve had this place bookmarked forever and when some friends and I were trying to find a place to eat close to Downtown, this place won, hands down. The biggest issue that might deter diners from eating here would be the parking situation. You have the option of parking off street but that is very limited due to the other neighboring restaurants in the area. There is also a parking garage not too far(behind Shin Sushi) but I’m not sure the restaurant validates. But doesn’t hurt to ask! The restaurant is very clean and inviting with outdoor seating but we opted for seating inside at a hightop table. In the center is a large bar that is the focal point of the restaurant but there are tables throughout the space. They have some great Happy Hour specials and I appreciated that even though I arrived with minutes to spare, our server, Camaren, raced over to let me know that HH was ending in 2 minutes. I don’t think most servers would go out of their way like she did at that moment, so I totally knew this was going to be a great dining experience. And I was pretty much right. For starters, I ordered the smoked fish dip($ 10) which I was told was made with mahi mahi. It came in a glass jar(it was actually pretty deep) on a tray with a sleeve of saltine crackers and some jalapenos strewn. You can also ask for extra jalapenos if you like to go crazy. This was probably my favorite thing that I had here. My dining partners ordered the bruschetta with bacon, beans and arugula and the poutine which had duck gravy and smoked meat. While I couldn’t partake in trying due to my dietary restrictions – they raved about both so I can safely say they were enjoyed! As far as entrees go, Unilocal Eliter Lani G. and I each ordered the Fried Chicken entrée. At $ 15 this is one standout of a deal. When the plates came out, we stared in bewilderment at how massive the dishes were. As well as kicking ourselves that we didn’t just share a plate. It came out with 2 massive pieces of beer brined chicken thighs in buttermilk dredge with pickles and homemade hot sauce. It also comes with a potato salad but since it has bacon– I opted for the housemade, handcut fries instead. Camaren didn’t give me any issues about substituting and there wasn’t any sneaky fees on my bill either. Anyways the chicken was sooo good– crispy and juicy on the inside. I barely finished one and had sooo many leftovers for when I got those hunger pains later in the evening. ;) While the menu has many items that are heavy on the meat, there are a handful of salads to choose from as well as a garden pizza. If you don’t eat bacon, etc just make sure to ask about dishes as some incorporate a small amount. Camaren also mentioned a Sunday Brunch to us that may be worth checking out. Overall, this meal was quite enjoyable(thanks Camaren for the stellar service) and a great value. My cocktail($ 1 off due to HH), smoked fish dip and MASSIVE fried chicken plate came out to $ 31.95 before tip. Annnnd, I had a second meal to bring home. :)

5 stars for delicious food, an awesome server, and Cigar City Tocobaga on the menu! Cameron was quick with the service, attentive, funny, and gave great recommendations. I’ll request her section every time I go back, which will hopefully for brunch soon! For food, we had a whole array of things, all very good. *Happy Hour bruschetta w/bacon, beans, and arugula — 3.5÷5 — it had more beans than anything else and was a little overpowering, but good overall *Tartare — 4⁄5 — very generous portion of steak, more than 2 people could finish. We had to ask for more toast, as 2 pieces wasn’t enough. It was very rich and flavorful. *Poutine — 4.5÷5 — excellent pork, yummy gravy, and the cheese was good but a little scarce. If there was a little more cheese on it, it would have been a perfect 5⁄5 because it was outstanding! *smoked fish dip — 5⁄5 — it’s made with mahi-mahi, smoked and seasoned perfectly, and served with house made pickled jalapeños and a sleeve of saltine crackers. It is perfection!(Pro tip — ask for extra jalapeños!) *Potato Salad(side that comes with fried chicken) — 3⁄5 — I wasn’t a huge fan. It was too mustardy/vinegary for my taste. The potatoes were cooked well and there was bacon in it, so those are my positives! Lol *Lamb burger — it was decent. Not overly flavorful and slightly on the dry side, but not bad at all! 3.75÷5 *Fried chicken — 5837483⁄5 — holy amazeballs, this chicken is LEGIT! Best damn fried chicken I’ve ever had. I’m not a huge fried chicken person, but seeing all the pictures and reading the reviews, I was drawn to it. I am so incredibly glad I was! They give you two boneless thighs deep fried to perfection. The meat is tender and juicy and the batter is extra crispy. It’s topped with their homemade hot sauce, which is the perfect compliment, and absolutely delicious. *Apple pie ice cream — 2⁄5 — meh, not my fave. Not much flavor and the pie crust pieces were hard as a rock. I’ll try another flavor next time! Overall a solid dining experience with great staff and an evolving menu. I will absolutely be back!

This is one of those sad experiences that makes me less likely to go out of my way to try these«great» new restaurants downtown… I feel like the standards of the downtown patrons are just lower than in the rest of Orlando, as this is the only thing that can explain all of these disappointing experiences at hot new downtown locales. The service wasn’t greatl– waitress forgot one of the dishes we ordered which, in retrospect, is probably the best thing that happened to us there. We ordered a chicken sandwich, fried chicken special, and the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was pretty good actually– doused in butter and makes your stomach hurt– but, that’s what you get when you order bacon Mac n cheese, right? The really upsetting part of our meal was the entrees. Both of us had chicken and, while totally different preparations(fried and grilled), they had the same, miserable, rubbery texture. It was one of the worst sandwiches I have had in recent memory. In fact, when my husband tried mine, i asked him if he could think of the last time I tasted chicken that bad and he correctly referred to an ill-advised trip to Wendy’s several years back. This is harder to handle because we spent 50 dollars. Ugh. Look, this is a popular concept… there are tons of places like this in town that just do it way better. If you need a better recommendation, let me know.

A true«scratch» kitchen. We’ve been twice now, and two 5 stars! The steak and frites was awesome(fries are perfect). Last night i had the tomato salad and wings. Perfection!!! Dessert was cookies and malted milk. Just do it… even if you’re too stuffed to move, get it! Everything, included in the ketchup, is homemade! That kind of dedication really shows in the food. The service has been on point too. BONUS: we just discovered an extra bar room to the left when you walk in. It’s darker, has a bunch of board games to play, and has a different menu for bar snacks!

This is a great neighborhood pub, serving quality food at good prices. There is plenty of seating inside and out, and the service was very fast and friendly. I ordered a North Quarter Tavern burger($ 13), and added bacon($ 2). The burger was cooked to order, and tasted great. The bacon looked incredibly impressive, almost ½″ thick. But it was really salty for my taste, and threw the whole burger off. The included fries were good, and NQT has a different style of ketchup… it seems as if they make it fresh from tomatoes, rather than what we all expect from Heinz. Not bad, just wife ordered a Rueben, which came with potato sald. Both were delicious, and I think it was better than the burger. Overall, a great place to stop for happy hour($ 3 drafts) and beyond.

We’ll see how it holds up over time, but my first visit here was a flawless one. It’s a nice looking, clean space with a large bar area in the center and tables all around the edges. There’s a great looking covered patio on the corner, and had it not been the middle of summer, we probably would have eaten out there. Since the menu suggests nothing of sides included with the sandwiches, we decided to start with the poutine appetizer. It’s up there with the best poutine I’ve ever had, and that includes anything I’ve had in Quebec. The curd was a bit stiffer than I was previously accustomed to, but the handmade fries were perfect for the dish, the gravy was delicious, and the pieces of pork were tender and smoky, a perfect compliment to the gravy. On to the entrée, I decided to get the Reuben. The menu says that the corned beef used for the sandwich is made in-house, and the waiter confirmed that this is the case(in fact, he said just about everything on the menu is made in-house). That made me want to try it even more. I’ve made my own corned beef before, it takes a couple of weeks and there’s no way to get anything that good at a grocery store. The Reuben came out with thick, beautiful cuts of corned beef that… well, it tasted better than mine, dammit. It was amazing. Word of warning: the sandwiches and burgers DO come with a side of fries. We could hardly touch them because we had just finished the poutine appetizer. Even without eating those fries, we were completely stuffed by the end of the meal. And for the rest of the evening. Everything having exceeded my expectations, I can’t NOT give it 5 stars. I’m definitely coming back.
