Read about this food truck on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. We parked on the side of the gas station and walked to the truck to order. The pictures don’t do it justice. We were drooling watching the milkshakes other customers were getting, as we were waiting for our own to come out. My friend ordered the Superhero which had Nutella and Oreo. It came topped with a waffle cone, Oreo, and dark chocolate & caramel drizzle(right in the picture). I got the Romance milkshake which tasted just like a Ferrer Rocher chocolate. It was topped with the waffle cone, whipped cream, dark chocolate drizzle, and a Ferrer Rocher chocolate(left in the picture). This is pretty much any chocolate lovers dream. They were a decent price– all of the milkshakes are $ 7 which is a good deal for all that you are getting. They also have acai bowls that I’m looking forward to trying next time.

I wish there was a food truck like this in my home city… We stumbled upon the Moca Loka truck camped out at a gas station. Already searching for smoothies and it being late it was bit of a crazy shot seeing this truck that happened to be specializing in these things. Originally, I really wanted to try one of their acai bowls, but these are big sellers and went fast and they only carry ingredients for a small amount. You’d probably have to find them earlier in the day to get one. By the time we had found them it was really late to begin with and their large menu was down to the scraps. Almost out of all flavors except for cakey-brownie-cookie type flavors and one fruit flavor, mango. I will not argue with a mango shake, so this was the obvious choice for me. The smoothie was amazing… I can’t even imagine how their acai bowls are, but I was in love with this drink. It came with a helping of whipped cream topped with large chunks of ripe mango and an upside down ice cream cone. I was sold. Aside from selling all the favorite things, they as a group were nice and their products are definitely worth a couple more visits. They’re also the first food truck I’ve seen selling this sort of stuff, and they have a unique take on it. They really make it their own. Hopefully, next time around I can try one of their acai bowls!

A Hawaiian flared and inspired food truck that serves frappé, piña colada and acai bowls! We saw this food truck on the corner of colonial and Alafaya and when we saw the words Acai Bowl we immediately made a u-turn to make a stop at Moco Loka! I first learned about Acai Bowls in Hawaii from my Sister in Law. Super refreshing on a hot summer day. I haven’t found many places in Orlando that makes Acai bowls so I get excited to see it pop up every once in awhile. Usually at food trucks. The Acai Bowl is a delicious and refreshing bowl filled with a super thick Acai superfood flavored smoothie with granola, banana, strawberry, honey, and coconut oil. Those are the ingredients they serve at this food truck but the ingredients can vary but essentially the same concept. It seems healthy but there is a lot of sugar, but nonetheless a sweet treat! The banana and strawberries were very fresh. We added blueberries and they were frozen blueberries. I was expecting fresh but the frozen blueberries was a good addition to the acai smoothie even though there were frozen bunches clumped together. Generous amount of granola and loved how they put it on the bottom of the bowl and top so that it allows for even coverage in every bite. They take cash or card and have a few tables set up outside the food truck. The food truck generator is very loud so you need to speak loudly, and around this season mosquitoes are out and about. It does take a little time to make so make sure you have about 10 minutes to spare when place your order. A small is a good size to share for 2 people. The bowl comes with a lid if you want to take it home but you’ll probably finish it in one sitting. I didn’t order a frappé but did see other customers order them and they look very decadent! Frappé with wafer cones and lots of sugary goodness :)

Great idea for a specialized truck. Not many people doing this. I need to see them more often.
