Mellow Mushroom

Mellow Mushroom always has great pizza and wings! Whether we pick the food home and take it home or eat inside its always the same good quality.
The only thing I don’t like about this location is they’re a little slow, so if you don’t have a lot of time I wouldn’t come here.
I’ve never been disappointed by the food here, just the slow service.

While I have been to Mellow Mushroom in Kentucky this was my first visit here. Same great food, quality and service. While it is a little pricey for a Pizza place, you get what you pay for. Pizza awesome as ever, but the Steak sub sandwich was the BEST in Orlando area. Just wish I didn’t have to drive 10 miles thru I-​drive traffic to get there. None the less I’ll be back!

I have been wanting to try a Mellow Mushroom for some time. We stopped at this location while on a trip to Orlando. It was okay… nothing special… nothing bad. My husband had a calzone with cheese, ham and pepperoni. He said it was good, however he needed to ask for a side of marinara sauce. We found this odd because calzones usually come with this. My daughter had the kid’s mac & cheese which came with a side of thinly sliced apples. The mac & cheese was delicious and not the powdered stuff from a box (I HATE THAT when it is served at a resturant). The apples were fresh and tasty. I had the mushroom sandwich. I should have ordered it without the sundried tomatos as I do not like the mouthfeel. I always feel like I am eating plastic or paper. I like the fact you can order a ½ of a hoagie or full hoagie, but it comes with NOTHING on the side. It comes with chips in select locations (per the menu). Not sure if this was a select location, as mine came with none. We also had the pretzels. They were okay. The salt is not your typical pretzel salt and it was more like pizza dough shaped to look like pretzels, but it was good. I think if I go back I will try the pizza.

I went here twice while I was on vacation because it was so delicious and the staff was really great. I’m vegan and tried the mega veggie with vegan cheese and a vegan calzone and both were excellent but the calzone was my favorite. My mom had a non vegan pizza and calzone and she was also extremely impressed. For one of our visits we sat at the bar and the prices were very reasonable and the bartender was great! I will definitely return during my next trip to Orlando!

We popped in here for a takeout pizza. We got the the mighty meaty. It was a very good pizza. The service was a little disorganized, but the food made it worth it.

I love Mellow Mushroom. This one was just as good as the one in Clearwater. The pie is always on point. The crust is awesome, the toppings are plentiful, high quality, and unique. The beer cheese and pretzels were super delicious as always, they are actually made using their pizza crust, it’s crunchy on the outside fluffy on the inside. Never super greasy. The margaritas are not very good but they did introduce me to Funky Buddha’s Maple Bacon Porter for which I will be forever grateful. Service was crazy and the waits were super long around 6pm on a Saturday which was to be expected but it’s well worth the wait. Service was great, we loved out waitress.

We have mellow mushroom in our hometown, and we go all the time. This particular location, however, was extremely disappointing. Tired after a long day of work, we went in around 9pm. There weren’t many people in the restaurant, and we ordered relatively quickly. Somehow, despite not being busy, the kitchen took nearly an hour to serve us a calzone, some chicken wings, and a salad. That would be unacceptable, even under busy circumstances.
The calzone was not very good; certainly not up to the standards of the mellow mushroom restaurants in our hometown. My chicken wings looked more like hummingbird wings, and they were very brittle. I somehow got chunks of bone in my mouth three times while eating them. Normal chicken wings don’t splinter like that. The salad was also sub-​par, and the buffalo sauce we asked for on the side never showed up. At this point, it wasn’t even worth asking…
While this could be an isolated case of a server making a few key mistakes (like not putting in our order… which would explain the long wait) the sheer number of issues we had was worth a review. It should be noted that the manager took the calzone off the bill. Still… not what we expect from a mellow mushroom location. Hopefully this location gets its act together soon, as the chain is usually fantastic.

Who doesn’t love the Mellow Mushroom? I first ate at one in Alpharetta, Ga a few years ago and fell in love. Upon learning that we had a location in Winter Park, I began planning visits every few months (which is saying a lot since I live about an hour away), so needless to say I was thrilled when I spotted a new location on I Drive. This location is clean and fun, the service was friendly, and the pizza was delicious (as always). I love the Mellowterranean with Tzatziki sauce — mmmmmmm.

I have to admit this loaded baked potato pizza was delicious… At first I was like, a baked potato on bread??? I don’t know about that?! But when it came out, it was thin slices of baked potato, pieces of bacon, variety of cheese, swirls of sour cream, and a kick of sirachi ranch sauce swirls! It was perfect! My pictures are proof! Will come back to try other pizzas!

For anyone not born in Florida, visiting Florida and finding good pizza is something of a challenge. While the native Floridians may not realize it, Florida pizza is generally pretty terrible compared to anything found in New York, Chicago, or California. Mellow Mushroom, however, breaks that mold.
The pizza found at Mellow Mushroom is as good as any I’ve had in any other ares of the country. Their menu is much larger and more varied than you might expect, with a large assortment of specialty pizza and a huge number of toppings in their create-​your-​own section. Add to those all of their burgers, hoagies, calzones, salads, and appetizers, and you’ll likely have a hard time choosing your meal.
As a plus, if you have anyone in your party who is vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-​free, they’ll be thrilled to find that their needs are well accommodated at Mellow Mushroom. They have a gluten-​free insert in the menu. The majority of their appetizers, specialty pizzas, and calzones, hoagies are vegetarian, and they offer vegan alternatives such as Daiya cheese and Tempeh substituted for any other cheese or protein. Whether you’re omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, and/​or gluten-​free, you’ll find something to love on Mellow Mushroom’s menu!

Two hour wait food sucked would not recommend very noisy also cccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc ccccccccccccccc

We were beyond excited to discover that there was a Mellow Mushroom just a few minutes away from our hotel on International Drive. After a long day at the parks, we came by here for pizza and a drink to end our day. We sat at the bar as their was a 30 minute wait for tables (no surprise as every MM we have been to seems to always have a wait for dinner) and had prompt and attentive service throughout. They have different drink specials each day (Sunday was $ 3 mimosas or bloody Mary’s), and a huge selection of beers on tap to choose from.
The décor in the MM, like all of them, is quirky, colorful, and unique – pretty fun to look around and check out all the little details while you wait for your food.
We went with our go tos: salad with Esperanza dressing (their house homemade dressing — delicious and a must try!) and a cheese pizza. I’m usually a big fan of their BBQ chicken pizza but we opted for the cheese tonight. Everything was brought to us quick and fresh and was tasty. The crust at MM is one of a kind and so so good! Unlike any other pizza we have had.
Really happy we were able to grab some MM while we were in town and hope to be able to return to this location sometime soon!

Very interesting theme to the place and lively environment. The service was decent too for a fast casual place. The food tasted good but was so rich! The mushroom soup was a meal in itself. I was so happy they had gluten free crust! I didn’t select the right combination though because it was way too cheesy, with few other toppings, even though it was supposed to be a 10-​mushroom topping. That’s my only missing star — the missing mushrooms on my pizza!

Arrived here for a late dinner after spending all day long at one of the parks. The ambiance is very laid back and modern hippy. I appreciate the fact that they had a decent sized bar with tons of craft beer on tap and about six TVs showing various sporting events. We ordered a garden salad, small Mega Veggie pizza and two beers. The word «Mega» doesn’t even describe this pizza accurately. There are so many veggies on this pizza, I get tongue-​twisted trying to name them all… Here we go: sun-​dried tomatoes, spinach, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, cheese, black olives, tomatoes, broccoli, feta cheese, artichoke hearts and banana peppers! The pizza was delicious and cooked perfectly; the garlic, buttery parmesan crust was my favorite! The salad was fresh and a substantial portion. I loved the Esperanza dressing which is a mixture between ranch and caesar dressing.
Now onto my favorite part of my dining experience, the craft beer! Mellow Mushroom has a TON of craft beer on draft. We chose Abita Turbo Dog and Abita Purple Haze. In addition, because we were there at 9pm on Friday night, we were able to take advantage of the late night happy hour, that runs from 9pm-​close Monday through Friday. All draft beers are a $ 1 off during happy hour. We paid a little more than $ 3 for our beers! Can’t beat that! Mellow Mushroom allowed us to get a quick, healthy, delicious reasonably priced bite to eat before we retired for the evening.

This is a really nicely decorated Mellow Mushroom, with a music theme that is well executed throughout. Because it’s near the theme parks, it attracts a larger crowd of newbies, and a lot of small rather rambunctious kids, so it has a different atmosphere than other Mellow Mushrooms.
The pizzas are still great, and there are lots of creative offerings. As at other Mellow Mushrooms, you can build your own salad or pizza from scratch, however because the individual ingredients are quite expensive, you can quickly end up with a twenty or thirty dollar production.
I took the opportunity to try the new veggie burger, and I must say it was one of the better veggie burgers in town, with a nice sear on the mostly bean-​based patty.
Service was a bit inexperienced, but the location is new, and I’m sure it will work itself out. Management seemed on top of things.

Located alongside International Drive in Orlando, this place was a convenient pizza parlor because it was only about 3 minutes from the resort. We decided to eat here one evening and it was great!
It wasn’t so busy around 8pm. They were playing 80s music and the whole place had a very interesting vibe. Looking around the room, it kind of reminded me of a pizza parlor from an 80s movie where teenagers hangout to get a slice of pizza, a soda and maybe play an arcade game or 2. Very cool!
The service was fast and courteous. The waitress was very helpful when I asked her about their hot wings. She told me they aren’t hot at all, especially if you are used to eating hot foods. I ordered that to start with and she was right, the wings were barely hot. The pizza was really good, too. I don’t remember what was on it but it seemed like it was a little bit of everything (meat and veggies). I only managed to eat a slice because the smallest order of wings was quite filling.
Overall, I think it was a nice dinner. The place did have a big selection of beer and other liquor but I didn’t have any drinks but some unsweet tea.

Great place! This was my first visit which I was inspired by food spots from others. Great fresh ingredients on the pis. The sauce was just enough to enhance the fresh flavors of the toppings. The mushroom soup was really really good with lots of shrooms. Will definitely be back here.

ALWAYS a worthwhile trip! Every Mellow I’ve visited never ceases to provide the hIGHest quality of pizza pie and in a timely manner I might add!
Drinks are always delivered promptly in a nice cold frosty glass! (Nothing worse than a warm beer.) The Mellow we visited had week day orange blossom pils specials, which was nice because I don’t believe the one in Winter Park has any drink specials other than their beer club.
Service was fast and attentive, just just a tad unprofessional. Servers definitely weren’t afraid to have private conversations in front of customers, which is fine but it just tends to give off the impression that they don’t really care about the customers perceptions.
I’ve heard about the beer club, it sounds great, but it would just give me too much of an incentive to spend money & consume calories on a regular basis that I haven’t tried it. So if neither of those are a concern than I would assume the beer club is a great deal!
Point blank: amAzing pizza. End of story.

There are some pretty enticing appetizer options. We ultimately tried the Magic Mushroom Soup and Oven Roasted Chicken Wings. I can eat those chickens wings all day and the soup was delicious. The pizza is good but not great. I’ve tried at least 5 different types of specialty pizza with varying sauces and did not find one I truly love. They were all good, but nothing to go crazy about. The crust, however, is amazing!
Angel provided great customer service. There was nothing to complain about. She was friendly and courteous. The food came out out pretty quick too..

Comme le nom l’indique, Très très cool l’ambiance ! Musique Reggae, Personnel et déco sont tout à fait raccord ! Et alors les pizzas ! Délicieuses et copieuses, nous n’avons pas réussi à terminer la moyenne a trois ! Une salade épinard, pecan, cherry dont je garde un super souvenir.

I think they had me at upright piano as their podium when we walked in the door… I mean, who does that? It was very spacious and different seating options from tables to bar seating.
We were sat near the bar with our fantastically friendly server, Xander. He gave us a quick history of the Mellow Mushroom and grabbed our drink orders while we checked out the menu. Upon his return with our drinks he shared with us a few of his favs and then continued to allow us to browse since I was still undecided.
When I was finally ready we chose a small House Special and a Medium ½ Thai Dye and ½ Red Skin Potato Pie. Now keep in mind these pies are made from scratch so you will have to wait for the perfection but they are definitely worth the wait…
When they were finally brought out to the table they were served up hot and just perfect. I love the golden brown crust and the touch of grated Parmesan. The flavors were incredible, just bursting in my mouth. I look forward to trying other pizzas on our next visit! And hopefully having Xander as a server again!
