Stayed across the courtyard and The Dolphin and decided to walk over but to eat after we checked in. No reservation but it wasn’t necessary. Service was pleasant and attentive. Food was good. Little pricey but you are at a resort so was prepared. Two rolls and bowl of soup and tip was around $ 45.00. Would go back.

I love sushi and will try it anywhere. Though I didn’t really expect great sushi in a hotel/resort setting, I was pleasantly surprised. We had vegetable and shrimp tempura, which was also nice, crisp and hot when it arrived quickly at our table., we had 4 different sushi rolls, all of which were very tasty. The service was prompt and unobtrusive. The prices were a little higher than my local sushi place at home, but not outrageous. We got there too early for karaōke, which was fine with me.

1) the rolls were cold, even out of the frier. Not sure if this is because it’s pre-made and put under a heating lamp or too much time between being made and getting to the table, or cold ingredients. 2) the Cali roll was stone cold. Like… COLD. Refrigerated for quite some time, I would say. This was a bummer since sushi often tastes best at room temperature. 3) flavor was lacking. Soy sauce, ginger, eel sauce, wasabi were all needed to be able to taste the roll. 4) servers were very busy. However, it was difficult to get servers’ attention since they would disappear or not approach the table for 30min at a time. 5) small rolls, high price tag

Weirdest.Karaōke.Ever. Came here to do karaōke, thinking it was a karaōke bar, because that’s how it was advertised on all the signs around the hotels. But I get there and it is a Japanese restaurant, with a tiny little stage by the door. Okay, so we sit at the bar and the very stoic bartender(he did not make eye contact at all and barely spoke two words) finally gave us some drinks. In the meantime, it was kiddie karaōke. I’m not kidding. there were seven year old’s singing the most depressing songs. «Someone Like You» by Adele and«Sister Christian» by Night Ranger were two of the more upbeat selections. It was like watching a live action version of that Sarah McLachlan ASPCA commercial I didn’t know whether to drink some absinthe or start dressing goth! After a long wait, my friend and I raised the roof with our rousing rendition of «Dancing Queen». That seemed to wake people up. We left after that… it was weird standing on that tiny stage in front of all those folks trying to eat their overpriced sushi. And parents, tell your kids to sing rousing, crowd pleasing songs at karaōke. If I wanted to be depressed, I’d just read my diary from 2011!

I really want to give this place 5 stars. You must go see Christopher Deutsch at the bar! He will make your night! You and I both know that when visiting the Disney or Epcot Parks and Resorts, prices escalate for everything! You know you’re probably going to pay 15 – 20(or more) for a burger at the park. I thought the same would apply to all the restaurants at the Swan and dolphin hotels. My girlfriend and I stopped at restaurant to restaurant looking at the menu, checking out the prices in conjunction with our feel for taste of the evening. Most of the places were a little too expensive for our taste, but when we came upon kimonos we were feeling much better about the situation entirely! This restaurant is fun in the fact that it is much smaller than the others, and once inside feels almost like you’re in Japan in Epcot. My girlfriend and I opted to sit at the bar all the far end of the restaurant. Our bartender for the evening was the very talented and handsome Christopher Deutsch. He makes sure that our drinks were filled and our bellies full. We had so many laughs and so much fun, it made the evening a perfect ending after our day at the park

I have never been to a worser restaurant than this. We ordered Tempura Udon. The udon noodle was luke warm the mushroom was uncooked. The server explained thats how they do it. I had to cancel it. Then it came spicy tuna, the tuna meat is mushy and warm. Server was courteous but it didn’t make up for bad food and noisy atmosphere of drunken people.

I’ve been a big fan of Kimonos for many years even though I am not the big sushi fan that my family is. The selection and quality of both the cooked and raw sushi is excellent, and I enjoy their tempura platter and cooked sushi rolls. My sister-in-law was still wearing a «It’s My Birthday» pin from Walt Disney World so she was surprised when she received not just a birthday dessert selection complete with candle and chocolate, but also a birthday card signed in at least three languages. This is a super staff.

This place was pretty good, a little bit pricy. If you like sushi I recommend the tuna it was very fresh. The salmon was good too, very buttery though. If you’re not as much into straight sushi you should try the Dragon roll, holy moly! The shrimp tempura was just shrimp… Nothing else. So if you’re a plain Jane that’s what I would recommend for you! They have karaōke at night which is lots of fun. After 11 it’s 21 and up only!

Team celebration night after a conference next door at the Dolphin, so we headed over to Kimonos in the Swan. No wait(sweet!), it was around 7 pm. First up: cocktails. I had the Kimonos Dragon — so good. Seriously, bubbly fruity deliciousness, and not too sweet. Definitely recommend. We ordered a whole bunch of rolls and sushi — they hand you the menu and you fill out how many of each thing you’d like. While the service wasn’t super fast(the restaurant filled up quickly!), our waitress was friendly and kept us posted. There were some new rolls to us, as well as some old favourite, and the fish was fresh and tasty. I’m a bit bummed we missed the karaōke, but only an excuse to come back next time I’m in town!

Not great. Sushi was decent but nothing spectacular. Seaweed salad was very normal and nothing great either. I’m not a fan of dense rice with nigiri and it seemed a little too«packed» for my lacking. I got my order to go and had a glass of wine while I waited. Nice bartender and quick to get my order. Got back to my room and they had neglected to give me my seaweed salad. However a few minutes later I received a call and they ran it over to my room which was very nice.

We showed up at 7pm Saturday night, surprisingly the place was not busy. The waitress gave us good attention it was quiet and relaxing. The sushi itself was average at best. I did not see any karaōke perhaps we went at the wrong time.

Oh yeaaah baby! I honestly can’t remember exactly what we ordered because I had 2 of their cocktails and the rest is a happy blur(I was tired ok, I’m not a lightweight, trust me I’m Scottish). I had the Kimonos Dragon cocktail, so good! I don’t remember the other one I had but it was good too, I’m sure all the cocktails are. I think our waitress recommended the Dragon Roll so we got that, Shrimp & Veggie Tempura(omg so fresh, light and just pure quality, yum), 2 pieces of Nagiri Unagi and I don’t remember the rest. However, I remember being in culinary heaven :) Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, the music was traditional and the ambiance/décor was very cool. I can imagine it being cooler when in the late evening(it was still light outside). They do not take reservations and since it is a popular spot, we went there around 6:30pm(it was Wednesday) and they were about half full. They have a lounge and bar so even if it had been busy we would have had a good time waiting.

Writing this as i am eating here. came in right after opening, about 5:45. No wait, place is pretty dead. The chick who greeted us is pretty cute. Anyways, Ordered 5 nigiris and 1 roll at 5:50 and didnt get the food until 6:13. 23 minutes is WAYTOOLONG for nigiri! So now its 6:21 and we just ordered again… hopefully round 2 will be a little faster. As for food quality… its good, but im far from impressed. Im not a picky eater at all so my reviews focus mostly on service. All i can say is that it was acceptable and made me less hungry. Round 2 was faster! Cali roll came in just 4 minutes… nigiri was right behind it. DONOT order the salmon roe. I had to spit it in my napkin, it was EXTREMELY fishy… not cool. Ordered the raspberry sake sangria for dessert and its pretty good. Overall this place is extremely mediocre, but its the only sushi choice nearby. I still left full.

I didn’t try the food, just the wine and KARAOKE. For that, it was a fun and easy time while staying at the Dolphin. It was expensive… but what isn’t in Downtown Disney?! The joint was small, and the karaōke list VERY limited. However, it was very fun singing, and I got a lot of opportunities to sing. It was nice that it is every night at 9:30 at any rate. And nice, I could walk home.

Ahhh Kimonos — food here is pretty average. Sushi is ok — had never made me sick in the years I’ve been coming down. Nothing to rave about. Now nightlife — yeah this is the karaōke spot of the area. How can you go wrong and especially if you are in town with a conference or convention. People singing badly and drinking — Huh what stars??? So avg sushi, waitresses kinda ehh and awesome nightlife.

Have eaten here several times now, I can honestly say it’s good quality sushi, very good service, pretty cool atmosphere. Sushi is a little pricey even for great sushi. It’s about 10% higher than a great quality sushi restaurant but it is in a resort so you have to expect that. Service is attentive and efficient but lacks that personal quality touch that could make it excellent. Atmosphere is modern décor but the fact that it has karaōke several nights a week just makes it awesome!!! Full bar and GREATSAKI

Ok, here’s my experience at Kimonos. After a long day of travel I settled in to one of my favorite restaurants, a sushi joint. I’m not an expert who can give a dissertation about the nuances on the difference between the harvesting of Uni in late May vs November, but I like a maki roll and love to have different experiences in each sushi place. I enjoyed Kimonos. It was loud and I wasn’t greeted promptly when I entered. But the meal was expertly crafted, was delicious, and the servers were attentive. They have Tamari for us Gluten free freaks, and the drinks were creative and tasty. I had the Hot Blonde which was a whiskey drink. Karaōke started at about 1000PM and was entertaining. I’m told they have karaōke each night. The host was a talented singer and knew her way through a karaōke tune! The experience was overall very good. I’ve never used metal chopsticks before but had no trouble at all with them, as an experienced wooden user. I can most certainly recommend Kimonos for a good sushi experience and a little karaōke if you’re up for it. You will pay 30 – 50 per person for a few rolls and a drink. 50 – 90 if you have more than a drink or two. I had the Miso soup, two rolls, and two drinks which came to close to $ 60. Another drink or two to watch the singing and it easily would have been $ 80 or more. A really nice time here.
