The only time I’m at IBar is for Mac and Cheese night on Wednesday! The DJ, Mac, plays the cheesiest music of the 80s, 90s, and today. The dancing doesn’t really get started until 11:30 and after about 12:30, it’s PACKED. But it’s still always a good time. Drinks are small and weak. But they get the job done. I know on Thursday’s they have free PBR until the keg is empty! And other drinks deals during the week. It’s an 18 and up to get in, which is nice when you have younger people in your party but also annoying when every other person there is underage. Go here after you’ve been pregaming to get your dance on!

If I could give this place one less star I would. I went out on the night of January 5th to have a few drinks with loved ones to cap off our night at ibar to give them a shot. Music was good coming in especially at 1:30 am so we split up a little while the woman went to the bar to get the guys drink. Us guys sat down and got comfortable in a corner spot. One of my friends played around and laid down on one of the seating areas inside. Within seconds a Caucasian guy with a thick beard came over and told my friend«if you want to sleep you should get out and go home.» In a very rude and condescending tone. Once the woman got back from the bar we all agreed to leave the bar because if that’s the way you talk to someone in the hospitality field then this place isn’t so hospitable. On the way out I walked over to the guy who spoke down to my friend and I told him«I guess we are going home.» We all make our way out, almost all of us make it out but the same employee must of ran to the front to catch up with us so he can get his door man to kick us out, and then he starts to insult one of my other friends that was not in the situation. Such an unprofessional scene that I’m sure will keep going on with no change. I went to a hospitality school in central Florida and that’s not how to appropriately treat people especially if you want repeat business. Especially someone who has been to this place countless times. This place needs work on how they talk to customers. Without clients they have no business so why treat the client in a peasant manner. I won’t recommend this place because the way this guys operates I’m sure he does it to many people and one bad apple does ruin the bunch.

Went there many years ago, when I met a few friends for an Epcot visit. Great place! the multiple levels and divided spaces make it perfect for socializing as well. I went alone, before my friends arrived and felt safe with the close parking area.

Big dance floor, 80−90s beats, attentive bar tenders… had so much fun here on a Saturday night! $ 3PBR. 30’s crowd. Bathrooms weren’t bad for a club either. Definitely would go back.

so many good/hazy memories here. The people watching alone is worth the smoke machine smell in your hair. The drinks aren’t strong, so don’t be surprised! I’ve never understood why there is a cover here, but it’s never bad. I’d suggest going at least once to have the experience. The clientele is worth the visit.

Thanks to one of the Orlando Pub Crawls, I was introduced to this place years ago! Very chill place and its huge! With multiple areas to hangout and a few bar options. The dance floor is a good size and Their 80s night on the weekend is amazing! Get there before 11 for free cover! Check the pub crawl schedule too, the night with a crawl are unforgettable and you’ll want to make sure you have the appropriate costume!

I went to Independent bar on 9÷19÷2015 after going to Beacham(which had a bad vibe). It was 80’s night which I normally wouldn’t be attracted to since I’m only 20, but I knew I’d know a few songs and plus it was not a far walk from Beacham so my Aunt and I decided to go in. It was mostly an older crowd there but I didn’t mind. I had a good time everyone was friendly. Only down side was I got three X’s one on the back of both hands and one on my left wrist. Like I understand why they have to do that but three was a bite of overkill. Also noone tried to dance with me, but a few danced with my aunt.

Ibar is spot to be. They don’t just play one type of music, they play a little everything from the 80’s 90’s and the 2000’s. A lot of space to dance get your groove on. And there are plenty of good looking single ladies that need somebody to dance with them. They have plenty of specials with extremely cheap PBRs. There is almost always never any cover before 11pm. This place has stayed true to its roots not change one bit. This is your bar if you are born in the 80’s and 90’s and you like that era’s music.

I like this bar. I like how they have different music every day of the week and there’s pretty much always free cover which is awesome! My favourite day of the week is Wednesdays when they have Mac ‘n Cheese which is pretty much cheesy music from the 80’s forward to today. I’m definetly going here again next time I’m in Orlando!

One of the best places I’ve ever been to. Stopped by after a concert at the Social, no cover and $ 2 pbr. Bar up front that leads to some seating outside, dance floor with more seating in the back. They play the best music, everyone is dancing no matter how bad. Drinks aren’t perfect, but they’re strong and cheap.

I was recommended Ibar from a friend I knew before leaving Orlando. He described it as a hipster bar/dance floor and after going to 3 different dance clubs that night, I am glad we ended here. When we first arrived we noticed how empty it looked. We gave it a chance and to our suprise, there was a dance floor hidden behide the entrance bar. The music they played was fun and upbeat, the drinks were decently priced(coming from Miami Clubs $ 40 or $ 50 dollars was an average on how much we would waste on drinks) and If you are into Alternative music or pop music, i recommend it.

I found this place to be pretty awesome and hip. The music was great for the most part with an occasional fails in my opinion but the dance floor never stopped hopping so guess there was something for everyone. There is aix crowd here so if your uptight and anti gay, keep on trucking… it’s very liberal here and no one cares who is in your company as long as everyone is having fun. It can get pretty packed on the weekend, however they do have a couple bars with an over view of the dance floor from the second floor and yes another bar up there as well. Bathrooms didn’t seem too busy at least the men’s however could have used a little tidying but wasn’t the worst I’ve seen. The drinks were inexpensive and lots of specials going on. They have theme nights so make sure to check out the calendar. Bar tenders were friendly and on top of things. Over all this was a great experience.

My favorite place to go to on Wednesdays. Wednesday’s it’s called ‘Mac n Cheese’ night. They play like cheesy 90’s and early 00’s music that I grew up on. Really fun environment and good drink specials.

I think this is a wonderful bar. They don’t just play top 40 they play all sorts of different music that you won’t find at the regular Orlando club scene. It is a good old-fashioned club, your shoes stick to the floor because it’s so filthy, I wouldn’t touch anything in the bar, and you have a wonderful time whenever you go there. I think people forget to enjoy I bar for its simplicity. This is the old Orlando club scene, where you do not have to dress up to get in, we are just going to hang out and have a good time, this bar is not trendy it excepts itself for what it is, a good old-fashioned good time. Just a warning this place is smoky. I mean you can escape it, if you go to the patio there a time people smoking and if you go inside there’s even more people smoking. If you like to people watch this is the place for you. You’ll see all sorts of weird things happen between people and it is entertaining to watch. Please be nice to the bartenders they’re normally dealing with a whole bunch of angry drunk people. So I normally give them a little bit of patience.

Worst service I have experienced! The bouncer is rude, and has no consideration for others! My cousin from out of town was lost in bar and was not allowed back In bar to find him… Worst experience ever!

I came here Saturday night since the last dive bar I visited had closed(rip eye spy). I’m not sure how the place merits 4 stars though. Although tonight was 80s night, I didn’t recognize 90% of what they played. Cheap liquor? Check Attentive bartender? Check People watching? Check I don’t see anything that merits a 4th star. And that includes the fact that I met a posse of Spaniard boys on the dance floor. It’s a dive bar though; what do you expect?

The club itself is alright. Large dance floor, several bars, and a pretty short wait for their gross bathrooms. The DJ’s just play off of some playlist that seems to get crappier and crappier as time goes by. They don’t actually care about the crowd or keeping the vibe going. I can’t tell you how many times they’ve played a few good songs and got the dance floor going, then switched to something that nobody wants to hear. The place just clears out. Come on guys. you know no one want’s to hear some of that stuff when they’re trying to get down. Also, I’ve had friends try to tip the DJ so they would play a song. Don;t bother, they’ll take your cash, but don’t expect to hear your song. The indoor smoking here is terrible. I know most bars and club allow it, but there’s something special about this place that makes it extra terrible. The place gets absolutely filled with smoke. Your clothes are toast the next morning. My advice it to toss them in the washer as soon as you get home so you don’t have to smell that stuff in the morning. Super gross. With all that said, when they actually play good music and it isn’t a smoke-fest in there, it’s a fun place. The bad thing is that’s very rare.

Oh… I-Bar. This is my favorite downtown spot. Pretty much because I am not cool, I’m kinda too old for the downtown scene, and I hate pop music. I-Bar is the place for me! We usually go on Saturday night for 80’s music. I love to dance(badly). But my husband is a good dancer, so it’s OK. On the rare occasion of a Monday holiday I’ll go out on a Sunday night, but the last few Sundays I’ve made it to just weren’t as good as they used to be. Fridays were better a few years back. We call this college night, because it’s more of the younger crowd, and as I said I’m getting old and it’s started getting annoying. Saturday has a better mix of ages. We usually go to the upstairs bar. It seems like it’s easier to get service at that one. And if you’re lucky you can snag a good seat for people-watching. Music varies on Saturdays… some nights we’ll hit a lucky streak of songs we love back-to-back and other nights… not so much. But overall it’s a blast. I love it!
