It’s actually a excellent place to go. Food are all delicious. Crab cake and oyster are must try! Steak is ok, nothing specials. In addition, It is a little bit noisy.

Each time I visit the Ritz, I always have lunch or dinner at H&H. The service is supreme and food is amazing. The shrimp and grits are superb and a side of Brussel sprouts were amazingly delicious as well. The wine choice by our server was perfect and service was, as usual, excellent.

Honestly the four is because of the chairs. Very uncomfortable. Ask for Robbie. He is over the top with excellent service, a quick wit and does some magic on the side. The food is fabulous. Try the fried green tomatoes and don’t miss the doughnuts for dessert

After initially being skeptical of a restaurant at a hotel, we went here tonight after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. To start service was excellent– from the moment we walked in everyone was really helpful and accommodating. Our server Angelica was really one of the best servers we’ve ever had– friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations! The food was even better than expected. We started with the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes– really tasty and they had a perfect little kick! I got the skirt steak and it was amazing– the shallot vinaigrette on top really made it and the potatoes were really tasty. My husband got the special, which was a surf and turf(monk fish and a bbq seasoned filet)…it was perfectly done and really well seasoned. They brought out a complimentary mac and cheese which was delicious and we finished with the mini donuts with Nutella and cappuccino gelato… delicious and a fun interactive dish, such an awesome way to finish the meal! After everything they even brought us some fresh fruit to go for our sleeping toddler. Definitely recommend this place!

We went here for my birthday with a group of 6 and my toddler. We hadn’t originally planned on bringing the tot, but after a babysitter crisis, there we were. I must say, one of the highlights was(parents everywhere rejoice) they were so excellent with kids! Huge kids menu, easy environment for them… No big deal. The atmosphere is awesome. Casual, hip, but special… And quite large. There is room for lounging with a cocktail or for dining with a large group. We had a lot of people and everyone tried different things(my favorite), but some of the highlights: –the bread, the bread, the bread –the fireside oysters –the crab cakes For entrees, I had the chicken. I was really feeling sick so I didn’t share with others, but everyone enjoyed theirs immensely. We also had one of each of the desserts. Hey. It was my birthday. The deletion of one star is a reflection of the service. No high drama tale, just a server we saw once or twice who was pretty scatterbrained and less than helpful. Overall, this is a must-do place. But can also be done as just cocktails and apps. Just go!

Again I am perplexed by all the rave reviews for a restaurant with lackluster food and ridiculous pricing. Yes it’s a beautiful space but it’s in the Ritz not a hole in the wall. Yes the wait staff is kind and every person seems to know your name, but again that’s the level of service you expect from anything housed in the Ritz. Every table around us received the Parker House rolls but us. I had been fasting all day to put away those rolls I had heard so much about but our waiter never offered of brought them. I searched the menu and they were not listed yet other tables received them pretty quickly upon sitting. Jip #1. My Doc Holiday cocktail was $ 15 and not that exciting or potent. Jip #2. I ordered the Picnic Chicken as my entrée and couldn’t believe that $ 29 got me three of the saddest and smallest chicken tenders I’ve ever been given. Half the size of a Publix chicken tender. When I bite into really good fried chicken I expect to break through a delicious crispy barrier. This was only lightly crispy more on the soggy side. SO disappointing. The deconstructed cornbread and cubes of watermelon were barely a side to assist in filling me up. Jip #2. My husband had ordered the skirt steak and his portion size was far more appropriate and he gave me a bite and it was good. So I assume your price tag for an entrée has to reach $ 35 for them to care about filling you up or serving it properly. For dessert we shared the mini donuts that came with cappuccino ice cream and a tube of hazelnut spread. It was good, but for $ 12 I got 6 small donut holes. You couldn’t at least make it a dozen? They are HOLES! Not even the full donut! For a meal that cost me $ 125 I left still hungry and feeling like a sucker. Don’t splurge here, there are better places to throw your money away that won’t leave you scoping out your fridge the moment you get home. Thank goodness you don’t have to pay for parking, which by the way the hostess did not stamp our valet ticket nor did she ask about our parking even though we told her we weren’t staying in the hotel but lived in town. The kind woman at the valet asked us and took care of us and saved us another entrees worth of money. She was the real MVP!

We visited for the first time celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. To start, we were warmly greated by our server, Robbie, who went out of his way to ensure that our experience was perfect. We ordered the spiced watermelon salad as an appetizer since Robbie had already brought an order of their Parker House Rolls(fantastic, but don’t fill up on them). My wife order the skirt steak and I had the black grouper. Both were expertly prepared and played. We also ordered cocktails, which were fantastic(their bar menu is quite extensive). When we decided to «drink our desert» by ordering another round of cocktails, Robbie surprised us with chocolate cake AND miniature donuts with Nutella. We couldn’t finish them despite a valiant effort. Overall, the experience was superb. Robbie made the experience nearly perfect. We will definitely be back.

This is dining at its best! The server was spot on with each recommendation and truly knew what he was describing and how it paired with the rest of our order. The items change often so it is best to go with their recommendations and be ready to expand your palate. Our appetizer was a cheese plate and had I read it I would have been turned off by the items but it arrived as described and was wonderful. I ordered the quail and was told it is a small portion however the richness of the dish I found to be filling. I did appreciate and thank the servers upfront honesty regarding portion as many may have complained at first site. My family and I enjoyed our evening here which was out last night in Orlando before our Christmas Eve return to Ohio. I will come back here and next time I plan to stay onsite however the complimentary valet parking to this fine establishment should encourage others to give it a try. The evening could not have been better and made a family memory which I will forever be grateful!

After dining here twice I feel confident that this excellent restaurant is 5 star worthy. The surroundings are beautiful but not stuffy, service is attentive and friendly, and the food is Southern/farm-to-table comfort goodness. We shared apps on both visits… tonight the charcuterie board was very good. Not the best I’ve had, and the food runner had only the vaguest idea of what was on it(our server amiably filled us in when pressed), but the cheeses, meats and pickled veggies were delicious. I tried the crab cake/fried green tomato small plate for my meal. Main dishes are large here, as I learned on a past visit, and this appetizer was plenty filling. The crab cakes are petite but rich, the tomatoes fried perfectly and the remoulade and chow chow were great accompaniments. I shared the Brussels sprouts with my husband on both visits, and I want this recipe. The Old Fashioned I started my meal with was about as good as it gets. Parking can be confusing here, as the lot is a fair distance, so skip that and just pull up to the hotel and valet it. Your server will validate the ticket.

After eating here not 1,2,3 but 4 times during my long weekend stay at the Ritz(where Highball & Harvest is conveniently located) I think I tried m 90% of the menu. Everything was great, but the following was truly amazing: — the grouper — deviled eggs — fried chicken — the bread(probably my personal fave of everything on the menu) The $ 15 kids meals are pricey, but enough food for both my kids to split one. And my son typically eats the same amount as 3 grown men. The service was great and they even brought me out a special dessert sampler when we dined here on my BDAY. So sweet! A gem that’s worth a visit whether you happen to be staying upstairs or not.

If you are looking for a laid back environment on a Saturday night with live music, good food, and delicious drinks, look no further. I have been to highball and Harvest several times. Once for lunch, and the other times have been spent in the lounge, ordering apps and having a cocktail or 3. The burger is a must get, and it can be ordered in the lounge, or regular restaurant. There lounge area does have a limited serving of food. The last time we ordered sweet potato fries poutine. They were pretty good, but not spectacular. They offer a nice selection of handcrafted drinks and 4 local rotating Florida craft beers on tap. If you are turned off by coming do to the parking price, don’t be. The parking is validated with a purchase. We will be sure to return and look forward to trying new menu items.

Needed to get a good meal in on a recent business trip to Orlando, and after warnings that nothing but chain restaurants were in my future I figured this warranted a try. I was immediately set on the sweet potato poutine fries to start, which had a nice rich gravy, but those smoked oysters really wowed me! The presentation on the wood chips was a great touch. I went for the fried chicken which had a nicely spiced and crunchy batter. The pickled watermelon sounded daunting, but turned out to be a great accompaniment and was refreshing with the fried chicken and cornbread. There was no question what was for dessert… those famous nutella donuts did not disappoint one bit. I would go back just for those. They were noted as being better than the beignets from café dumonde that we had for our last year’s trip.

Dinner last night was absolutely one of the best dinners my gf and I have ever had. From the first sip of our cocktails to the last bite of dessert, we truly had a memorable time. We started our meal off with a couple cocktails; she had the ‘Saint Or Sinner’ and I had their ‘Doc Holliday’. Her drink had a perfect balance of sweetness, tartness and spice(you can choose your preferred spice level). My drink, which was served in a copper mug was similar to a Moscow Mule, but with a blueberry and grapefruit twist… both were great. We chose a Pork Belly appetizer as well as their popular Parker House Rolls to soak up the alcohol. Once again, we were extremely pleased with our selections. The rolls were tasty as is, but the apple and herb butter really added a nice touch(we both preferred the herb butter, apple butter wasn’t too sweet). The pork belly? It brought a smile to my face. It was cooked perfectly and served over a goat cheese polenta, as well as a tasty arugula salad with jellied watermelon and lemon vinaigrette. It really was perfect. For the main course she ordered the Chicken Picnic and I had the Skirt Steak. Although we enjoyed both dishes, i actually enjoyed the taste of her meal a bit more. The Chicken Picnic consisted of buttermilk fried chicken, cornbread pudding and a jar filled with spicy watermelon. The chicken had a great crunchy texture and was great, but somehow the watermelon stole the show; that spicy watermelon was perfect. You had the natural sweetness from the fruit and it just worked perfectly with the spice. The steak was a solid dish, there was nothing wrong with it, it just didn’t seem to take it to the next level as much as the rest of the meal. For dessert we ordered the H&H Blueberries Chess Pie which was served with vanilla ice cream. Was it delicious? I’m still not sure(however, it looks great) because our server also decided to bring us a complimentary serving of their Baby Donuts(for my gf’s birthday) which was served with cappuccino ice cream and a tube of hazelnut spread. The donuts were awesome, the ice cream was very tasty and the tubed hazelnut spread needs to be delivered to my front door on a daily basis. As you can see, we absolutely loved our meal, however the vibe and great service is what made the night much more special. Zach was our server, he was great. He gave us the type of service that would make me request him as our waiter on our next visit. We will absolutely be back.

This is a southern-inspired, New-American restaurant and bar at the basement of the Ritz-Carlton Orlando. You walk in and get the sense you’ve been here before… Hmmm, I wonder why, converted warehouse look(check), concrete floors(check), kinda like the prototypical next generation«hip» restaurant popping up in a newly gentrified area near you, except this is at the Ritz. The food is great. Honorable mentions go to the cocktails, the service, the shrimp and grits, and all seafood items. High marks for creativity go to the baby donuts served with nutella-in-a-toothpaste-tube. However, I’ll give 4-stars because I’ve been to similar places with the same quality at half the price. I guess this one was about location. Summary: delicious but expensive

My friends and I came to the Ritz to have dessert. We sat in the lounge area in the couches and were promptly greeted and given dessert menus and water. Half of us ordered the baby donuts, the other half got the lemon cake and strawberry sundae, and one got the chocolate bread pudding. DELICIOUS!!! Presentation was on point and the flavors were delicious. Absolutely loved the tube of hazelnut spread that came with the baby donuts. If only I could have a life size one of it and have it at home! Service was quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend visiting for dinner, dessert, or both!

When staying two nights in the Buena Vista Disney/Convention hotel area south of I-4, I felt destined to chain, mass dining experiences. I was very delighted to discover Highball & Harvest. It is on the lower level of the Ritz Carlton hotel, a little hard to find at night(even with GPS) since it sit a ways back from the road entrance. You valet park, get your ticket stamped, then no charge other than tip. Cuisine is Southern inspired. Ambiance is terrific, low key, large & roomy yet cozy with seating at bar or bar area or a number of separate sections. Music — male soloist was singing John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, etc., mellow tunes. Produce is local sourced from 7,000SF on-site garden. The kale salad was very good, not too heavy or tart dressing like many places. I ordered the Bookers Skirt Steak based on prior Unilocal reviews. WOW! it was cooked perfectly medium rare(hard to do on such a thin cut) with mashed potatoes, corn and tomatoes. My spouse had Shrimp & Grits(Canaveral Red shrimp).

Oh what an experience this was. I came here with my girlfriends and we tried a little bit of everything– SO glad we did it that way. We started off with cocktails. The majority of the table went with the Doc Holliday– H&H’s twist on the moscow mule. While it was good, it was SO tiny so I don’t think we would order them again. I went with the spiced Georgia peach which was the hit of the night. Served in a tall glass, with crushed ice, Flor de Cana rum, a rosemary sprig and incredible peaches… yes yes and more yes. Since we wanted a good overview of the menu, we ordered one entrée and the rest were appetizers/side dishes. Parker House Rolls– Whoa. get these. just do it. the herb and apple butters served alongside were so good I wanted to eat it with a spoon. But that would be weird, so I refrained. The Southern Spread– This was good but I don’t think I would get it again. Smoked fish dip and pimento cheese accompanied by pickled vegetables, crispy crackers and grilled bread. Pimento cheese is always a standout in my book and it was really good, just nothing over the top for me. Crabcake & Fried Green Tomato– !!! This was one of my favorite parts of the meal. The remoulade was slightly sweet and perfect and I wanted to lick the plate. I could have eaten 2 orders of this BYMYSELF. Deviled Eggs– I’m not a huge deviled egg fan but these were good. Rich and creamy with a good hint of spice from the mustard. Booker’s Skirt– Per our servers suggestion, we got to try this INCREDIBLE dish. Whoa. Skirt steak marinated in bourbon, seared to a perfect medium rare. Accompanied by mashed potatoes, corn and tomatoes. I want this. Every. Day. Pimento Mac & Cheese– We got 2 orders of this and it was a good thing because I wanted SOMUCHOFIT. Simple, yet perfect. Brussel Sprouts– BS + bacon, I mean do I need to explain more? We got a complimentary chocolate plate which I thought was super sweet. On my way to the little girl’s room, the server asked if we were celebrating anything and I simply told him it was our girl’s Valentines Day. The sea salt chocolate caramels were one of the best confectionaries I have put in my mouth. Seriously though. My girlfriend stuck her finger in it to get some of the caramel in it because she was so excited and I actually ate the remnants. That good. No shame over here. The ambiance was great– classy, yet casual. You leave the main lobby area and head down the stairs into a rustic space. Edison bulb lighting, an open bar and dining room. We got to sit at a circle table which we loved. I wish more restaurants had them. Parking is validated, so you really have no excuse not to go.

YOOOOOOOO, this place is: insert something classier than«the tits»: Because, yes, it’s classy! H&H is to The Ritz what Prato is to Park Ave. Yes, it’s in the Ritz so that says something. However, it feels comfortable enough that you don’t have to go all out. And, if you want something more casual, go for lunch or sit at the bar. This place is quite large and has an open feel. We went for lunch so we were seated immediately and our service was great. Can we dive deep into the name first, just shows the time and thought that went into this concept! «A modern approach to Southern-Inspired Cuisine Aside from the classic cocktail, a highball is a train conductor’s signal to depart at full speed. It was how Central Florida’s abundant harvests moved from field to table, an iconic symbol of the region’s agricultural might. Highball & Harvest(H&H) pays homage to this legacy, with menus laden with ingredients from local farms, as well as our own green-growing efforts. We pluck fresh produce from our on-site 7,000– square-foot garden at Whisper Creek Farm. Handcrafted cocktails are infused with seasonal fruits and herbs, and create a culinary adventure that is as inspiring as it is memorable.» If this alone doesn’t make you want to go check this place out, read about my experience with the food: Started with the Doc holiday, blueberry jam, Titos vodka, ruby grapefruit and house ginger-beer. Are you kidding me? So delicious, fresh and went down dangerously easy. I could have spent the entire afternoon sampling the drink menu. Crab cake and fried green tomatoes with Cajun Remoulade and Corn Chow-Chow. WOW. So many flavors and textures that worked in unison to make my mother and I moan as we were eating. Yep. «mmmm, uh huuuuu» — me when I am eating good things. When my main dish arrived, I said«holy sh*t» and my mom said, «Colleen, I don’t think you should say that in a place like this.» I didn’t have time to apologize because I had to shove the Booker’s skirt steak in my mouth. It was accompanied with tomato and corn salad and potato purée. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and was peppered perfectly. The tomato and corn were the perfect acid to sweet ratio for the steak and the texture of the velvety pureed potatoes was the bow on the present that was my lunch. My mom had to ask for a bite since I was too busy not paying attention to her. However, we swapped for a taste of her ribs and they were fall-off-the-bone impeccable. Good LAWD. I want to go back ASAP. If you are in the Orlando area, don’t wait, try this spot! Don’t be scared it’s in a hotel. If you are visiting Orlando, make it a point to stop here. Get a true taste of Southern and Florida Farm to Table cuisine!
