Fantastic. Service plus and food better than my Portland Mecca. Simply stated, worth the money.

After reading the reviews from Unilocal I had to come try this place for Cuban food. Safe to say they did not disappoint! Service was excellent, I liked when the waiter bantered with us because it makes the place feel more homey. I had a pretty spicy dish and he was on point with water refills. I ordered the red snapper filet in criollo sauce and it was delicious! I am pretty sensitive to spice so the waiter said it was mild but my taste buds told me otherwise. The sides were yellow rice, black beans and fried plantains. All of them were delicious and helped take the spice away. If you want really good Cuban food I highly recommend this place!

The food here is amazing. They season and prepare their food in such a way that makes every bite super tasty. I went to this place 5 years ago and I was shocked at how good it was and my wife and I were in the area recently and tried it again and once again the food was simply delicious. Their sangria is really good and reasonably priced and the service here is awesome. I would totally come back to this place.

OMG! This was bar-none one of the best meals! Tony was an awesome server not only was he knowledgeable on the menu, but we ordered a family combo(which I highly recommend to taste a little of everything) we wanted to order an appetizer and he talked us out of it because of the amount of food. Such a great dining experience! Don’t let the strip-shopping ctr. location fool you, you will not be disappointed! So coming back for more next time we’re in town. Thank you, Cindy Little River, SC

Best empanadas I’ve ever eaten. The fried plantains were fantastic. My only complaint and it was enough to knock a full star off is that the Cuban sandwich really needed more meat. One slice of ham and a very little bit of the pulled pork was a disappointment. Mom loved the avocado salad and pa enjoyed a beef dish.

Delicious food and big portions! Best place we’ve found in the vicinity of Disney Springs(Downtown Disney). We started our meal with two orders of chicken empanadas. You get two per plate, and these weren’t the usual, small empanadas you get as appetizers. These were big and full of flavor! We also got the Unilocal offer for free Chef’s choice appetizer which were these tasty plantain chips in a garlic butter(mariquitas). For the entrees, my hubby had the bistec palomilla, and let me tell you it was amazing! Super tender and it had this grilled flavor that was just amazing. He had congri on the side which was also fab! I had the ropa vieja(shredded beef) which was also super tender and very flavorful with a side of yellow rice and black beans, also excellent. We skipped on dessert because we were stuffed!

Excellent Tres Leches! The food was delicious, we specially enjoyed the Mariquitas(free, when you check in with Unilocal) and the Cuban Tour. The restaurant was clean and is one block of the main road. Only thing lacking from a great Cuban experience was that they didn’t have Cuban bread and that is crazy ! Better service and Cuban bread would have earn them 5 stars.

3 ½ stars. Fresh & delicious Cuban food. Service was great. Our waiter Tony was nice & helpful. We ordered the plantain chips(mariquitas), epanadas, palomilla steak, skirt steak, vanilla flan, and a espresso. All were amazing. My favorites were the beef empanadas, palomilla steak, and flan! Awesome little local place for great Cuban food.

Went back for lunch recently. My friend had the Churrasco with beans and rice. I was told the whole snapper just arrived so I had that steamed with Criolla sauce. We both shared a nice simple salad. They served the oil and vinegar and we did the dressing which I like. We have had the Churrasco before and it is delicious with garlic mojo on top. The beans have a wonderful flavor. Most places serve flavorless black beans. I had the fish which was perfectly cooked and easy to eat the way they score the fish before cooking. And the Criolla sauce with onions, peppers and garlic was beyond delicious. He asked if I wanted it a little spicy and it was perfect(you don’t have to). The sides were great. This place is the real thing for Orlando or anywhere. Try it.

So glad I used Unilocal to locate a place to eat in Orlando while on quick trip. This was close and glad we found. Staff and owner were amazing. Food was FAB! I am from Miami area and felt strongly that I’ve had the BEST Cuban cuisine. BUT I now stand corrected. They rocked it from beginning to end. Friendly staff and very happy place. Clean and family friendly. good was fresh and flavor and quality were perfect. WEWILLBEBACK!!!

Quaint restaurant with a pleasant décor and helpful staff. Ordered a carafe of sangria, fruity and full of fruit juice and fresh pears, very fresh. Menu has the typical Cuban cuisine, ropa vejas, plantains, mifongo, Cuban grilled sandwiches, grilled meats and chicken. Hubby had the braised pork shoulder I had the snapper filet in garlic sauce. Sides of Cuban rice, a combo of black beans and seasoned rice. The Cuban rice came out cold. The yellow rice was seasoned well, but came out cold as well. We had the chicken empanadas came two to an order and we’re pretty large. Deliciously seasoned, tender chicken, peas, potato in a savory sauce and crispy pie shell — excellent. The snapper fillet was moist as ever in a garlic sauce and red onions. Hubby has the braised porky shoulder, moist tender and seasoned well. Caramelized plantains were awesome. Huge portions and good service!

Plantains were tasteless. Steak was just okay, but the veggies on it were very fresh. Waitress had a slight edge to her, service overall was not good. We had additional people who showed up to dine with us and they seated them at another booth. They lied and said a couple of larger tables were reserved. Neither of the larger tables were ever occupied the entire time we were there. For this reason I would not ever consider a return visit to this place for their meh food and subpar service.

Nothing redeeming about this place. And the service was not great. If you check in, it says u get a free appetizer for $ 8 or under. The server tried to tell us it was only one app we could order. She continued to say i was wrong. I pulled the Unilocal app up and showed her… and she was like oh ok fine. First lie… Second lies was this… We had 3 people but a 4 others decided to join us halfway thru our meal. We asked for a larger table. There were two large empty tables. I asked for one of these… the servers and manager said they were reserved so they sat the extra guest at a diff table(not with us). Another large table opened… they claimed that it was reserved as well. Well we were there for 1.5 hours… and none of the three tables had anyone sit down. And they were emptying out the restaurant and prepping to close. I might also add that one of the guest who joined us had noticable handicap and they just made her stand while finding them a small table instead of allowing us to sit in the 8 seater table. Seperating a party of 7 that could have mingled and spent more money. But they split us while having THREE available seats. They lied while taking our money. This place gets no love from me. And the food… it wasnt the best. It was simply steak on the grill… the veggies were super fresh. The flan was good. The plantain chips were plain with a olive oil sauce in it. No one really liked it. They were just ok. Dishonest and mediocre food… nah. Had service been better, my experience may have been much better and it woulf have reflected in their rating. Restaurant management isnt only about the food quality but about the experience the customers have. They failed miserable on the latter … and their review reflects this. Shame on this establishment.

Wonderful Cuban cuisine in a fairly nondescript strip mall. Friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and easy to get a table on a Saturday night. We had the free Unilocal check-in app which was the fried plantain chips. Simply served with a garlic oil on top. I went with the red snapper special which was a whole fish deep fried, served with yellow rice, black beans(perfectly seasoned), a side salad. It’s a pain to pick out the pin bones but the fish was juicy and delicious. All of the sides were fresh and went perfectly with the meal.

The perfect dinner if you’re visiting Player 1 or anywhere in the Lake Buena Vista area — absolutely worth the trip if you’re visiting near Disney & want delicious food but don’t want to overpay for it! Just arrive early(or a little later) if possible as it’s popular and does get busy. I’ve been twice so far and last time I visited at 9pm on a Thursday it was completely packed apart from one table. I opted for the arroz con pollo(my favourite) — a generous plate of chicken, rice, beans of your choice and plantains all for a very reasonable $ 14. It’s even a good size to share, or eat it by yourself if you’re particularly hungry! Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked, plus the plantains were perfectly sweet and crispy. Definitely the best arroz con pollo I’ve tried around here! Soft drinks are refilled for free, giving extra value for your money. My only small complaint is that on my last visit the food took around half an hour to arrive even though only one other table had ordered at the same time, which was a little frustrating as I was so hungry, but the staff were all polite and helpful at least! Worth a visit for the most delicious Cuban food in the LBV /Apopka Vineland area — skip all the rubbish chain restaurants and eat here, you won’t regret it!

I came in here with a group of co-workers on two separate occasions while visiting Orlando. It is a nice change from all of the chain restaurants all over the city. It is a little difficult to find since it is in a strip mall but it is definitely worth a visit. I don’t remember the correct name of what I ordered the first time but it was essentially a seafood soup with rice. It was delicious but since that visit was in July I should have thought twice about ordering a soupy dish since it was so hot and humid outside. The most recent time I ordered the skirt steak with chimichurri. I really enjoyed it. It smelled so good as it was being brought out and I devoured every bit of it. I ordered Cuban rice with it and that was just alright. It was a little dry for my taste especially since I didn’t order a dish with much sauce to it. The plantains that came with it were also great. I am not sure how they are prepared but they have a very sweet taste to them so I prefer to save them until the end of the meal as more of a dessert. I almost forgot, the sangria is delicious. A pitcher is more of a carafe though so don’t expect a beer pitcher size of sangria to be brought out. The fried plantain appetizer is a must. They are so simple but so good!

Delicious food! Tostones en curtido(fried plantain chips drizzled with sauce) — 4 stars. FREE with Unilocal check-in. The herbed sauce was really oily but tasted delicious. Wish there had been a little more of the sauce! Arroz con pollo — 4 stars. Flavorful and the chicken was moist. The only thing I’d change would be the larger chicken pieces — they were less moist and less sauce-y. Churrasco(skirt steak!) — 4 stars. this was delicious. Delivered on a sizzling platter House made hot sauce: extremely spicy. J loved it! The only element of the food that was subpar was J’s side of Congri(Cuban black bean and rice mixture), which was pretty dry. Easily fixed by adding the soupy part of my black bean side. We stopped by at 8pm on a Saturday, didn’t have to wait. However, by the time we left at 9pm the restaurant was packed — every seat was full. They seemed slightly understaffed, but they were still hanging on. 2 minor complaints about the service — the table was sticky to the point where I had to clean my arms and then wipe down the table myself(they were busy, so I didn’t ask them to do it). One of the waiters had a dish propped on his arm crookedly, so as he was walking to deliver it to a table, he dripped a steady stream of sauce onto J’s shirt and shorts and also another diner’s clothing as well.

Was here for a week for Disneyworld/universal studios but had no car to maneuver around town. Found this spot on Unilocal and decided to lyft here. Walked in to about 3 tables full and was immediately seated down. checked in here and got their free appetizer of the day which was plaintain chips… It came in a LARGE bowl which was more than enough for two. Tasted like potato chips to me but it was ridiculously greasy. My lady ordered the Cuban shredded beef with Cuban rice which I think we’ve came to conclusion that Cuban meat is always lightly flavored. I got the Cuban style steak with Cuban rice… And similar flavoring was there for the Cuban steak as well. Even the grilled onions with it, had more flavoring than the meat itself. The service was great… The dude tried to be funny and all that but we’re were too tired from the 5 day beating of theme parks to function.

Well small intro-dad said he wanted«food» in which then we debate what’s considered the meal he wants, back and forth we go about it when I figure Cuban food. We in Orlando for a small detour to our journey to st Agustine, so we stop in here for a meal. Hands down way decision! The location is off the strip plaza getting off the avenues through downtown Disney five minutes away. Clean location fresh look of paint on the walls, simple ambiance Cuba décor along the walls. I stuck to my Cuban sandwhich and my mother tried out a pork steak with black beans and rice mixed. Dad hasn’t ventured past his Peruvian taste palate in some time and he was more than satisfied with his ropa vieja and mofongo– something super out of his range: plantain smacked down with pork loin chop bits mixed inside. It was good definitely glad we tried it once for a change of pace. Overall the manager who attended To us was helpful and quick to guide us through what we all wanted(more mom and dad since I knew hands down I wanted the sandwhich) Ps I would like to share appreciation for the guys who did work today for it is Christmas Eve and things can go from slow to fast real quick. We had a great time we are more than satisfied!
