Gringos Locos

don’t forget to check in on Unilocal for a discount! I got the pork tacos and they were fabulous. I love street tacos and everything I’ve tried from there is good. Some of my party had to wait a bit longer for their food, but everything was great (fish not over or under done).

Ok. I had the drunk burrito. It was ok not anything special. My tortilla felt like fresh dough way too mushy.

Feed me more Double D’s, Double D’s! Nothing like spending a Friday or Saturday night downtown partying and getting some drunken eats at Gringos. On those weekend nights the line WILL be long, but its worth it. Also happy hour, 2 dollar tacos, Boom baby!

My lord! Been 4 months since I’ve stumbled onto these Crazy White People. This is probably the best Non Mexican «Mexican» food I’ve ever eaten in Orlando, Besides my mom ;)

Ive been to the downtown Gringos Locos, and the one in the Milk District and they never disappoint. This location is always louder and busier, usually hard to find a table depending on the time you go. The Double Ds are my favorite and I do enjoy the chips. Their queso is great on food, but not the best for dipping chips. Always entertaining place to eat, and great for getting good food to go.

This is one of those places where if you tell a local you’ve never been they’ll be astonished and say, «we have to go!» It’s definitely a local favorite.
I often hear of people grabbing it for «drunk food» after a night at the bars, but I’ve personally only been there on my lunch breaks. It’s good either way.
If I’m not very hungry, I’ll get simple Sloppy Tacos. If I’m pretty hungry I’ll get Double D tacos which are a popular menu item. If I’m starving I’ll get quesadillas– they’re really heavy.
I’ve never had a problem with service here. Safe bet for good Mexican.
Also FYI they do serve some brands of beer!

This is my favorite place downtown Orlando to stop in for a quick bite to eat. Forget Chipotle… this place has the most legit tacos, burritos, nachos and other Mexican delights. When you walk in you wait in line while reading the menu which is over the food serving area. There are plenty of choices for all. I usually go for the Double D’s which are two tacos inside of one (hard shell and soft shell). I get 2 and am usually well fed after that. They let you build your order with plenty of toppings and they even have a selection of Mexican beers on bottle and can of you are pre gaming with your meal. This is a great place to stop in late night too as they are open late. Don’t forget to try the hot sauce that is available next to the fountain drink machine. It’s better than Cholula in my opinion which is saying a lot because I love Cholula! The cost is on point for the food quality and l doubt you will be disappointed if you decide to give Gringos Locos a try!

Ordered a chimichanga and tacos they were delicious! Friendly staff and cool enviornment.

Yummy food however never go out a weekend night, it will be incredibly packed and you wont be able to sit.

Dirty Sanchez burrito was delicious.
Also had chips and guacamole.
Place was super busy late at night.
Ordered a large sangria which was better than most places I’ve been lately.
Service was fast and friendly

As far as the food goes I can’t think of anything bad to say. The service was decent as well. I ordered the double D’s. The dish was fantastic as the restaurant was crowded impact for a Thursday night around 12 PM midnight. Parking can be a hassle as it is free parking after certain time but that was an issue. That’s not really something that the restaurant can help so I don’t think it will affect my experience with the food. We will definitely be back.

The food — amazing! If you are not sure which meat you want with your food, ask them for a sample. They will be happy to give you a taste. I ordered the OG Nachos. The cook suggested it and let me try it before I made the official order. I also ordered a chicken empanada! The total came to $ 10.17. That’s an amazing price for the amount of food. The nachos were amazing. The best I have has thus far. Lettuce, cheese, queso (OMazing), sour cream and pico. One thing I would add is some type of hot sauce. The empanada was different and great! It has rice and queso and chicken. It was cooked perfectly.
The atmosphere — nice. It’s not a huge place but at least there is some great music bumping and multiple TVs so come and watch your favorite sports here. The chairs at the tables are pretty torn up but it’s cool. They have a great cocoa cola machine with special flavored. Highly recommend coming back here. It’s close to orange street which is like the main club strip downtown Orlando. This place is open late so stop by!

My favourite Mexican place in Orlando! Whenever I’m in town I visit at least a couple of times a week. $ 10 gets you more than enough food for a perfect lunch or dinner — I always go for two Double D chicken tacos (a hard shell taco inside a soft taco with queso in the middle, possibly the world’s greatest invention) with a bag of chips and some queso on the side. Double Ds seem to be by far the most popular item on the menu, as I always notice people in front of me ordering the same! If you’re into unusual sodas, check out the drinks fountain which offers a ton of variety.
Be sure to arrive early (before midday) if you want to avoid the lunchtime rush as it can get pretty busy! Though any food seldom runs out — among the 20 or so times I must have visited, they’ve only run out of chicken once. They’re open til 3am so ideal for grabbing some much-​needed food after a night out! A must-​visit if you’re serious about your Mexican food & want to grab some of those DDs for yourself!

Perfect spot for your post-​partying taco needs. The joint is lit up just like your mom and pop corner store and set up similar to chipotle.
I came in and immediately wanted to try the lean green burrito. The burrito was tasty and kept me full for the most part. I wish there was a bit more meat but I can deal. Next time I come in I’ll definitely be trying the Double D’s Taco! It was a great experience and will definitely come again!

I must say this place was pretty darn delicious. Especially as a late night after the bar meal it really hits the spot. I decided on the pork and beef double d’s. Kinda like the double decker tacos at Taco Bell. Num num num. my friend also got the fish taco and street taco. Which he enjoyed as well.

Gringos is great for both non-​drunk and drunk occasions, but extra tasty when you’re buzzed a bit!
I went with the fish tacos and a regular taco with beef and all the toppings.
The fish tacos come with grilled tilapia. The tilapia could have used a bit more seasoning and were rather wet, there was a puddle of liquid in the tray afterwards. The salsa verde was tasty though and brought everything together. There was nothing to complain about with my beef taco though, only wish I had ordered another.
Service is very friendly, at first they forgot my beef taco, when I asked the girl behind the counter about it she fixed me one up right away with no problems.
I don’t go out drinking downtown as much anymore, but next time I do I will be at Gringos… trying the Double Deckers next time!

After the Magic game on Saturday, someone had suggested my party should check out Gringos Locos for great tacos and beer. I’m not one to say no to mexican or tex-​mex food so I was down.
It was a short walk from the Amway Center and thankfully when we got there it wasn’t so busy. This changed as soon as we sat at our table. The place became packed. We ordered three tacos, two sloppy tacos (ground meat) and one street taco (chicken), and we also ordered an order of nachos. Everything was so delicious! Out of the tacos I tried, I enjoyed the street taco best, but my boyfriend enjoyed the sloppy tacos more. My favorite favorite were the nachos. They were so delicious! We also got the sangria and that was delicious (and CHEAP!) as well.
Overall this place is great! Its affordable, tastes fresh, and the corn tortillas are so delicious. I can’t wait to visit again soon. I’d recommend this place to all my Orlando friends.

This is one of my GO-​TO late night food spots.
Open till 4am most nights, this place has saved my life on multiple occasions.
If you’ve never been here, get the Double D’s tacos and thank me later. The queso is incredible also.
They also recently opened a location in the Milk District. Enjoy!

Man oh MAN… I fell in love…
This place has a dive feel to it… small but thats okay… you are not there for the ambiance… you are there to stuff your face with TACOSSSSSS!!!
So good I went twice in one week… SHAME on me.
**happy hour** two dollar tacos… not the Double D’s which are my fav… but the sloppy and regular taco. and free chips and salsa… dont forget to ask for this.
OK…seating is limited so make friends… most people are nice enough to say… sure.

The double d’s which is my favorite is the crunch taco and the soft taco together with the fixings… funny because I have tried the chicken… which i prefer but I tried the beef and yumm… the ground beef they use has a sweet taste… different but that what makes it delish… dont be alarmed.
Sauces in the back… they have a few by the coke machine… i go for the limon… yumm tastes great on everything… the others are okay but this adds a littla FLAVA!!!

Hands down my favorite place to visit when I am in Orlando. Quite frankly, it brings a tear to my eye thinking that I cannot have a Double D on the regular!
Although the Double D, chicken, with everything on it is where my heart lays. I am also a great fan of their pork nachos!
The service is fast and the prices are great. By far however, even with it’s not so easily accessible location, the food is why this location gets a five star rating!
