The food is always good but the service is so bad here. Our family likes to order as we go but the server literally yelled at us because we order too many times. She screamed at us in front of people which was humiliated. They dont speak english at much either so order process is always a pain. I would come back just for the food, not the terrible service.

found a cockroach in my dish. Complained to the boss and all she did was take my dish away and said please just forget about it. So I spoke up and then she offer of to just take away that dish with no charge. Worse service if ever had. DONOTEATHERE. already called health service and spoke to a representative. They will be getting in contact with a agent to check out this place. Also the restaurant looks very nasty and un-organized the hallway to the bathroom has random tables and dirty chairs sitting there blocking the emergency exit to the back. The service is terrible from all the waitress. Straight to the front Lady that sat us down at our table. She walked in and the restaurant and she immediately didn’t greet us. She went straight in and ask«how many people». Sat down for about 10 minutes. And no one brought out water for the table. Had to ask them for water. Would not recommend anyone to this restaurant.

I found a god damn cockroach in my food and all they say is «I am sorry. I will cancel that plate.» I told the manager and she is like«I just work here, tell the server.» I ended up still having to pay for the food. HEALTHHAZARD THEDEPARTMENTOFHEALTHNEEDSTORECHECKTHISPLACE. Excuse me now while I go throw up.

As dim sum goes this is pretty bad the service was ok nothing special and the food came out in rAndom times because things was delayed in the kitchen. The custard buns are not custard bun so ignore it in English. The bbq pork buns tasted like its gone off my guess is it was frozen and hence the taste. They used hoi sin sauce on the dough cheung fun which was super odd as it has always been just sweet soya source around the world. In a nut shell I have been traveling for 9months and haven’t had dim sum all this time so I was desperate and I have to say this is one of the worst places I have been so far but that said I haven’t been to a decent dim sum place in the USA yet. If you are in Orlando then skip this one and try one of the others out, I’m not holding my breath here as I don’t think any of them will be much goods such I’m still searching.

Came here on Memorial Monday at 11:30am. The place wasn’t full yet so we were seated immediately. We placed our dim sum order and proceeded to wait and wait and wait. The place filled up because none of the tables were leaving. Nobody was leaving because everyone was still waiting for food. The table next to us was missing an order and asked about it. The waitress came back and rudely said«I took it off the check» and started to walk away as the table replied«but we still want it». The waitress then said, «if it didn’t come out by now, it’s not going to. It’ll be another 30 minutes if I put it in now» and rudely left. No apology. No compensation for their mistake. Just took it off and walked away. Then we inquired about our order as it has now been 45 minutes and we received one item… She replied«look at how busy we are! Steamed items take longer!» And that’s when we got up and left. No empathy just lame excuses in a rude manner as to why the kitchen isn’t competent or prepared. It’s a small restaurant and I’ve worked in restaurants for many years, Chinese restaurants included. There’s no excuse as to why a business who has been in operation for this long can’t figure out how to cook their items on time for a 15 table restaurant. Horrid experience with old fashioned rude Chinese people that don’t have a clue what customer service is.

My fam and I were spending a couple days in Orlando and was in the mood for some dim sum before we would go roam the outlets. Some dim sum… Say that five times fast. Lol I entertain myself… Ok back to the review. Unlike another place I went to where folks rolled out the carts filled with small dishes, here you get a paper menu and another menu with the pictures of each dim sum dish, so you get a general idea of what each one is if you’ve never had dim sum before. You mark off what you want on the paper menu and hand it back to the server. I like their method as you can see the prices for each dish, so you’ll get a general idea of how much you’re spending. All our dishes didn’t come out at once, it was staggered, which we did like. The stir fried beef with the crispy noodles was very tasty and not dried out. The shrimp dumplings were also good and so was the roast pork pastry, even though it was a little too sweet for our liking. Each little dish come with 3 – 4 pieces of dim sum, so it’s great for sharing if you’re with a group. If you like to add spice to your dim sum, request the chili oil, they will give you the glass container and you can add more or less depending on your taste buds. We love a lot of spice so we pretty much used up half the container, lol. Service was pretty good, our server refilled our water when it was needed. A pretty good dim sum restaurant. I did like knowing how much each plate was with the paper menu. I’ll be back again the next time I’m in Orlando.

If you are looking for an authentic and affordable dim sum in Orlando, this is not to be missed. This place has by far the best dim sum we have eaten in the South! The restaurant is easy to find, the service is above average for a Chinese restaurant and they have a fairly good amount of dim sum dishes to choose from. We loved the egg tarts and it’s a must have. Our party of 6 were happily stuffed when we left the restaurant!

The dimsum is ridiculously good — it’s the only reason I keep coming back. Service is consistent and my water cup is always filled. The manners could be improved a bit for the servers but that doesn’t bother me that they don’t say«you’re welcome.»

I’m a creature of habit when it comes to dim sum, but a friend recommended Golden Lotus for dim sum. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 1 P.M. The place was busy, but we were able to get a table pretty quickly. ATMOSPHERE(3⁄5): It was very crowded. Every table was packed, but we managed to squeeze into a two-top in the corner. Unfortunately, this was right next to the bins where they kept dumping the dirty dishes. I wish this was a little more hidden. It was hard to enjoy conversation when the dishes kept clanking as they were deposited into the bins. The place is pretty plain. There’s a fish tank right at the front, but otherwise, it’s pretty bare. FOOD(4⁄5): It was alright. We ordered sticky rice in lotus leaf, steamed chicken feet, pork siu mai, shrimp dumplings, and pork wrapped in noodles. I thought the chicken feet was okay. It didn’t really have the flavor I was looking for. The pork siu mai was pretty standard, as were the shrimp dumplings. I did enjoy the sticky rice and the pork wrapped in noodles. The prices were pretty reasonable. The cheapest dishes were $ 3.50. All in all, our meal cost around $ 20 — that is the five dishes with a pot of tea. SERVICE(3⁄5): I wish I could say that the food made up for the poor service. We ordered five dishes with the thought that we would order more if we needed it. Well, nearly thirty minutes go by, and we wonder where our food was. Most dim sum places I’ve been to will bring out dishes as they are prepared by the kitchen. However, Golden Lotus will serve food in the order the orders are received. We were told that other tables were waiting for their food. Well, we might have ordered more food, but the thought of having to wait another forty minutes for our food was too much. Will I go back? Possibly. I’d think twice about when it’s busy, but if it weren’t busy and I was in the area, I would come back. Until then, I’ll stick to my usual dim sum places.

So much love for this place. Wonderful food, friendly and helpful staff(the owner pointed me toward the pork and watercress soup one day when I wasn’t feeling well — it’s now my go to for the sniffles!). The dim sum is terrific. Yes, sometimes service is slow but the food is delicious and freshly made, so I am happy to wait a little longer for that. I prefer the Chinese menu to the American one, but I’ve had food from both and I have never been disappointed. My absolute fave for Chinese food in Orlando.

Decent dim sum, pretty good for the area. Few tips, egg tarts are tiny, beef tendon and tripes are shredded. Steamed roast pork and 牛腸粉 are pretty good.

#My parents have been taking me when I visit them in the past few years. Pretty good dim sum. But if you come when it’s #busy, the wait for the food could be long. Made to order. No carts.

The food is decent, but the service is terrible. I came here with my family the day after Christmas and we were seated about 30 minutes after the restaurant opened and it was already full. We put our dim sum order in and waited about 15 mins for ONE item to come out. The rest of the items slowly trickled out of the kitchen(about 10 – 15 mins between each item.) When we tried to order a few more items of dim sum(4 more items to be exact), the server went off on us. Literally. She was yelling that we had ordered too much food(which we truly had not) and that we would have to wait because other tables were ordering and we would have to wait for their orders to be fulfilled before we would get ours. We would have waited, but with that attitude and demeanor, no thank you. My meal was ruined and I definitely will not be coming back ever. My business will go elsewhere to an establishment that serves better dim sum and provides better service. My suggestion for the restaurant is to make sure that they are adequately staffed on the floor and in the kitchen during and a few days after the holiday season to accommodate the higher influx of customers. There were only 3 people working the floor and who knows how many in the kitchen. The server seemed to be overwhelmed(which I’m assuming is why she blew up on us) and the kitchen could not handle the orders being placed and have the food come out in a timely manner.

We went here this afternoon for dim sum. We moved to the area from Boston and this was the most recommended for good dim sum in the area. Its what you expect from dim sum, without the carts which we loved. Everything was made to order and fresh. Of course we read the reviews before coming here and i see a lot of reviews about service and the 18% tip… it is as authentic as you’re going to get in this area, that being said you should know that means you’re going to get authentic asian service, thats the truth. They’re not going to be super friendly and try to converse with you. They brought us tea, took our menu order and brought our food out as they were ready. And they cleared our empty dishes. I don’t know what else i could ask of them. This is what i expect from a dim sum restaurant. The food was great, authentic, and prices were pretty much the same as up north. Total for 2 ½(our 6month old lol) of us was around $ 25 and well worth it. We will come back again :)

This place has bad blinking lighting that hurts peoples eyes, especially senior citizens. I took my parents and grandparent here and the food was super salty and took forever to come out. When we paid, they changed us with an 18% TIP. We are visiting from California, hoping to receive some decent asian food but we will never come back to this place. awful service, mediocre food and overpriced items and tips. Oh and did I mention that the 18% tip was only for LUNCH. ridiculous

The dim sum is horrible. Don’t get anything from their dim sum menu. Nothing taste right here. The rice congee is the worst part. The taste reminds me of Taiwanese Plasticizer additive scandal. Not to mention the portion is small, those dim sums taste weird. Shrimp dumplings have weird chemical taste. I won’t come again.

They write tipping amount for you! 18% enforced when we had only three people tonight. When I asked why, the waitress seemed surprised and responded«we just write them for you.» Eh… Not sure what she is thinking. I always thought tipping is the right of customer’s. Everything else was about right.

Tasty, authentic dim sum at very reasonable prices! Went here after looking thru our choices for dim sum near Orlando, and we were pleasantly surprised! The dim sum isn’t served in carts like I’m used to, but they had a nice menu w pictures of all their dim sum offerings and a paper order sheet for choosing what you wanted. The har Gao(shrimp dumplings) were delicious. The shrimp rice noodles(Chou fun) were my favorite dish there. I also had one of the lunch specials(under $ 6!): the shrimp w lobster sauce and fried rice. Both were awesome. All in all, the food was great, the service was great, the prices were amazing. It’s not the place to go for ambiance, but it’s great for eating. We might go again this week!

This is my first experience with dim sum and it was great. My friend ordered all the food and I just ate… And ate. We had no problem with the service at all. They were very nice. Lots and lots of dumplings and steamed buns and a great variety of other crazy stuff, chicken feet, tripe … It was helpful to have a friend who knew what to order. They have a picture menu for the dim sum which I would use next time. They have two completely different menus, one all fake American Chinese food and the other Chinese menu, go for the real stuff. It was terrific!
