Unless you have all the time in the world to sit on hold on your phone and listen to repetitive music and if you don’t mind«increasing your bill by $ 5» every other call to get what you want then and end up with an obnoxiously higher bill then first promised then don’t get DirectTV. I literally cancelled my subscription 15 minutes after the technicians installed it. Which took two appointments, 5 phone calls and 3 hours on hold to finally get them here. #FirstWorldProbs

i don’t even have a account with these idiots… yet…they went into a heart transplant patients account without permission mind you… i don’t know how they did it either… beware…i am coming after you guys with my debit card company… its called fraud… and after talking to people locally… i found it is your practice to make unwanted appts and actually charge them… shame on you for being dishonest… no shame on me for getting the law involved

Worst Sales, customer service and installation experience I think I have been through in a very long time. Sales didn’t convey package correctly, installation didn’t bring proper equipment and failed to turn on programming package purchased. Returned to sales tried to work out situation with customer service. 6 people later, dispatch calls me to figure out what was going on. Then I find out I am not on a joint account, so we spend more time adding me to the account so Direct TV will talk to me versus my husband about what is going on. Person 7 – 8 were spent cancelling the account within 24 hours of installation due to the incompetence of their staff. Today more time invested to speak to staff members 9 and 10 to further remedy a cancelled account they tried to confirm cancelled appointments for«again» for tomorrow and to once again argue that the charges that had been taken off my account and not be charged to my credit card last weekend once again be handled and confirmed by this company. I will NEVER do business with this company and HIGHLY recommend no one do business with this company. They are the worst, it appears to stem from disorganization and incompetence on the part of management and the vendors. The left and has no idea what the right hand is doing.

I had DirecTV when I lived in NYC and for the most part was satisfied with them. When I moved to Florida last year I decided to continue on with their service. Huge mistake. I was temporarily staying with a relative when I signed up again for service. After six months I got my own apartment in the same town but they wanted $ 189.00 for installing the service in my new location. I was not under contract even though they said I was. They threaten me with a $ 450.00 early cancellation fee. I told them to show me the contract. After much fighting and standing my ground I cancelled my service. Not only all of the above but I discovered I was paying more and getting less programming. In the end they actually owned me money. Whatever you do, go somewhere else if you want cable. Or better yet, cut the cable and just use a digital antenna for local channels and stream movies and television shows with Netflix. I’m done with DirecTV forever

By far the worst service ever, they LIE and say less than 99% signal interruption. Let me tell you something, i live in Orlando, FL and«had» Directv for 4 years and my satellite dish(newest equipment) aiming into the clear blue sky set by the Directv techs would work great«MOST» of the time, but if it rained or got cloudy we would completely lose the signal. And since it rains heavy almost every day in Florida this service is just completely useless. If you walk into popular sports bars such as Miller’s Ale House Restaurantsyou will see 50+ TV’s saying«Signal Lost» when the sky clouds up. Also, good luck trying to cancel with these village idiots, a customer of 4 years we were and they charged us a $ 200 cancellation fee because one of our HD boxes broke and they sent a replacement, apparently on page 69 of the 200 page fine print if you get a new piece of equipment for any reason it renews your contract for 2 years. I think it took me 2+ hours to finally cancel over the phone with these idiots. Avoid them like the plague, get cable, get anything but avoid Directv.

Worst customer service EVER from a cable provider!!! I was told the installer would be there between noon and 4pm, at 4:00pm was told they would be delayed, till 5:30, then I was told they would’t do it today, at around 5:00 after calling directv, was told someone would come out between 5:30 and 6:30, at 6:35 a person finally showed up to tell me that it was too late, and that Thursday would be my new install day!!! Avoid directv in this area at all cost !!

I had there service for about 3 years it was great service. I really never had an issue with the service coming to my apartment. And the installer came installed it and it was all neat and clean work. it was only those certain days when it rained really really hard I got an interruption in service, as expected. when I lost the job and move out I found out I buy everything, the dish — that they do not want back, and I rented it all from them all this time. I’m like dam so I buy it and pay to rent the some thing. This I feel should be illegal. So it was a deal like I pay my car off but I still pay the bank to use the car everyday. There is not any location to hand in the box you have to send it back in the mail. I can not believe how clear I told them my address on 3 different actions. First time to cancel the service, 2 times never got the box to send it back. I got the forwarded bill so they have my address. So calling them, the people that run these phones in America suck, I unfortunately only speak English but it seemed like they did also pretty good but it was never understood. people do not know what the hell to do if there not under 1000% supervision. Big companies way there odds, if they can get to read a script and have basic knowledge of what the computer is your hired, because now you only have to pay them minimum, instead of having one person doing shit right. So now there are charges to me because I didn’t meet the return the box time frame. As my account should of been closed out they now have took the month payment out of my account automatically, it is 0 balance and I’m hungry, fuckers. I am bleeding with anger for a really stupid misunderstanding with them. It’s no wonder why people scram at technical support because the employees don’t know or care about nothing but reading there script. what happened to knowledge so you can make the best choice at the right time for everybody. What we teach is what we get! I am happy with there satellite service but there desk people really need to freaking inform people and have a little knowledge of what there doing there. I know it is called marketing or scam what ever you prefer.
