dd’s DISCOUNTS

I wandered in here today because I’ve driven past and always meant to check this place out. Wasn’t greeted walking in and quickly made my way to the racks. Set up much like a Marshalls or Ross inside, aisles of racks and harsh fluorescent lighting. Most of the shoes and mens clothing I perused were brands I’d never heard of, but I will say the prices were insanely cheap! Cheap plastic toys, I picked up a bowling set for the kid. I looked at clothes for the 3 yr. old, nothing moved me, but again, cheap. Their housewares, for practical things on your list could be smart, I needed an unglamorous don’t care what it looks like toilet brush for new place 5.99, perfect. Tried to make idle chit chat with cashier «I never been here before!» «Amazing prices!» To no reaction or manners whatsoever, I felt a little stupid after. If you need some filler or plastic at a crazy good price with no frills, this is your place. I could see myself trying here for practical household things but not much else.

This place is similar to Ross but CHEAPER! I come here for home domestics and Hello Kitty! Yes they have tons of Hello Kitty items on certain days of the week! This is also a good place to buy Healthcare SCRUB SETS for $ 12 (top & pant).
This place can get a little ghetto /​ratchet but hey come here for discounted items and listen to the 80 – 90’s music groove they play and you will be alright!
They do not do hold items for you — from the times Ive attempted to which lost a star in my book.
Ive bought many kitchen /​home items here and they are cheaper than ROSS!

What can I say? It’s a dd’s Discounts. Like any other such store, it’s hit-​or-​miss. Our first visit was a hit! We found a bookcase for $ 15 that’s normally sold at Target for $ 80. I’m glad we stopped by!
The store is in great condition compared to other dd’s in Orlando. I hope they can keep it up.
