The BLT and chocolate chip pancakes did not disappoint! Not to mention that the portions were plentiful and the service was consistently wonderful. The quaint atmosphere that made you feel like you were home — even if you’re actually a thousand miles away.

By far my favorite breakfast place to hit when I am in town. The biscuts and gravy are incredible! Same goes for the corned beef hash. Great quick service. Definitely worth it.

Very good breakfast here. The Mrs’s French Toast breakfast was just the way she liked it and the Chicken Fried Chicken I ordered was most excellent.

Delicious local diner! Breakfast is delicious and fast. Love the 1×4 such allows you to pick a main item from several options plus 2 eggs and 2 pieces of sausage or bacon. French toast is served with maple syrup!

more like 2 ½ stars… I’ve been going to the Daybreak Diner for a number of years now. It’s a love/hate relationship. My first visit was about four years ago for breakfast(they weren’t open for dinner at that time) and I had a miserable experience. The food was fine, but our server was horrible. She obviously didn’t want to be there. I don’t know if she was hung-over or just didn’t want to work on the weekend, but she took all of her frustrations out on her customers. We didn’t return for about two years because of her. Now they’re open for dinner during the week and they have daily specials that I like to take advantage of. Some of the negatives: We have to walk through a fog of cigarette smoke(from a group of octogenarians sitting on the benches out front) just to get in the door. They’ve been open for over 18 years and it shows, from ancient pictures of log gone customers to restrooms that haven’t had a good cleaning in many years. Hygiene seems to be a recurring problem. A server was sweeping the dining room then offered to refill a beverage, without washing her hands. Recently one of the servers was walking around with her baby, then didn’t wash her hands when she delivered food to a table. Another server had her pre-school boy with her in the side dining room. Of course she was preoccupied with him. It’s never okay for a restaurant employee to bring their children to work with them! The positives: Everyone now is friendly and welcoming. The food is usually good. They really do have excellent mac n’ cheese!

Not the best… Had a very dry salmon burger, which I probably should not have gotten from a diner in the first place! 2 stars for the sweet potato fries though.

NEVER going back — EVER. My wife and I ate here yesterday. The food was good. When we left we both used the restrooms. They were the filthiest most disgusting toilets and urinals I’d ever seen in a restaurant. I don’t mean messy. They look like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. Health hazard filthy. When my wife came out she asked if they had comment cards because the women’s room was just as bad. Considering contacting the health department. I’d hate to imagine the kitchen. I almost vomited before we left.

Typical diner but the floors a dirty, the service on a Saturday(probably there busiest day) was not that good. Food was average. I could have cooked about the same meal. Nothing too spectacular to try.

Good place for breakfast. Did some shopping in the area and needed to grab some much needed breakfast and stumbled upon this place. Cheryl our waitress was very friend and attentive even in a packed diner. It was clean and you can instantly tell a lot of regulars and locals loved coming to this place. We had eggs, pancakes, french toast, bacon, grits, homefries, english muffins, and everything turned out near perfect. My only complaint was my eggs over medium, the whites were a bit runny, which tends to instantly stop me from eating them once I see it’s uncooked texture. But other than that everything was yummy, with good service, and reasonably priced.

This place is the best! Quick to get in, and the menu is huge! The breakfast is all amazing, including awesome biscuits and gravy, and eggs Benedict. Everything is good, although I’m usually here for brunch. I highly recommend!

Daybreak Diner turned 18 years old on Friday. It is a place where everybody knows your name. I’ve been coming to Daybreak Diner for most of those 18 years. It is definitely our go to place for breakfast. The 1×4 — Bacon, Sausage(a big fat link), egg and biscuits and gravy(excellent homemade and loaded with sausage) for $ 6 is my standard breakfast fare there(Although every now and then I have been hungry enough to get the 2×4). Their stuffed French Toast, crusted with crunch cereal and filled with blueberry cream cheese is awesome as well, with their own syrup, which they bottle and sell. The potato pancake remind me so much of the ones my Grandmother Goldie made. Omelets of every stripe are offered as well. Gerard’s soups were always a highlight of my lunched at Daybreak, as good as any you will have. I particularly love the cheese soups. Now that Gerard is semi-retired, Lizbeth and Gerard’s son Michael is doing an excellent job as chef/manager, coming back home after years in the chain restaurant management world. The BLT I had last week was packed with fresh cooked bacon and it was served with their own fresh made potato chips. There burger is on par with just about any other in Orlando and their subs/hoagies are packed with meat and I always have to take half home. Dinner at Daybreak is based on a weekly calendar of featured specials. I don’t get dinner there that often because their closing time of 8pm is a bit early for me. They have great Chicken Parmesan, and Pot Roast and the Smoked Pulled Pork I had Friday was moist and super flavorful. The Mac ‘n’ Cheese I had with it was amongst the best I’ve had, topped and baked with a crumb crust and loaded with stringy, pull it up to your mouth cheese. Lizbeth and her crew are excellent bakers. The strawberry cake I had was text book perfect. Three layers of super moist butter genoise cake, layered with vanilla pastry cream mousseline and flavorful strawberry filling. The walls are covered with photos of guests who have been eating there over the years as well as local artists works on display. Ke Ke’s Breakfast Café just recently opened up a few blocks away on Curry Ford, I hope they are looking for new customers, fore they are not likely to capture business from Daybreak. It is the restaurant I visit the most. It is located at the corner of Curry Ford Road and Crystal Lake in the same plaza as the Post Office, Charlies Bakery, and Clemons Produce. Not many restaurants last 18 years, Daybreak is still going strong, and visibly striving to excel more everyday.

Easy, casual, friendly, home cookin’ diner style comfort food. Just be very specific about how you want your eggs, if you’re particular like I am. I try to keep in mind I’m not at the Ritz but getting an over medium egg shouldn’t be that difficult. I don’t like sending food back, so now when I order I have to describe what an over medium egg should look like. Other than that, it’s everything you would expect at a local diner.

Great food and a friendly staff. Local art and photographs from customers on the walls gives the place an authentic feel. The omelets were tasty and the pancakes were good too. They even have their own bottled syrup!

Found this place by accident. Very friendly service and large portion breakfast. Great value too. Just over $ 6 for a full breakfast. The kids ordered hot chocolate with their meal and it came out with a mountain of whipped cream and chocolate sauce on it. It tasted amazing. 2 very happy children. A solid 4 star place.

This place is my favorite breakfast place. I always get the 2×4 with pancakes. They can get busy most of the time but, you just can’t beat the diner atmosphere and local hospitality.

My mom and I went here for the first time ever this morning for breakfast. Some of the people who reviewed this place must go to high scale, fancy places. The décor is nice, the place is clean and nothing looks really old or worn out, as one reviewer said. The service was great, as was the food. My eggs, hash browns and bacon were all cooked just the way I like them. I like my bacon chewy, and it was cooked to perfection. Not too undercooked or overcooked. Just right. Our waitress came by many times to check on us and I didn’t even have to ask for a refill on my iced tea. One of friend’s mom works there, as well. She looked happy to see us there. After passing this place many times over the years, we finally decided to give it a try, and we will definitely be back! If you haven’t been yet, give them a try! You won’t be disappointed.

When you drive up to the Daybreak Diner it doesn’t look like much. It’s not in the greatest part of town and it doesn’t have the greatest curb appeal. Did that detour me? Heck no! Some of the best places are those hole in the wall, dingy looking, give me some hand sanitizer type of places. However this was not the case. The outside is pretty much a summary of what to expect on the inside. Décor: The place could definitely use a update. The carpet is old and worn, the art on the walls is rustic, and the menus have seen better days. All in all it felt dirty. I kept looking at my plate wondering if it was clean. I checked my silverware too many times to count before I used it. Service: Let me preface this by saying our server looked overwhelmed; EXTREMELY overwhelmed. Before she even greeted us she looked stressed and it was only 09:00. The place was packed; we had to wait about 15 minutes before we were seated. I think because it was a little crazy in the place, there was never going to be a «great service» moment. We even had to wait for silverware after our food was already delivered. If I had to rate her performance I’d maybe give it a 2⁄5. We didn’t see her much through our meal. Food: The heart and soul or any establishment. Unfortunately I felt that the food was sub par, I wasn’t really blown away. I didn’t feel like the food stood out at all. It’ was just meh. I could easily cook just as good or better food in my own kitchen. I’ve definitely had better food, even from Denny’s. My french toast was dry and my eggs had a funny smell to them. Not sour or foul just different. Overall I wouldn’t return to this restaurant. There are a lot of breakfast places in about a 5 mile radius that blows this place out of the water. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone either. Obviously I must be missing something because other people love this place but it’s just not for me.
