Great Cuban sandwich! I didn’t know what to choose so I end up picking a random dish. I t turned out to be super good! I had beans and rice for the side and they were yummy. The service was great as well. The lady was friendly and nice. The price is definitely cheap considering the great quality of the food.

My favorite Latin café. Being a vegetarian, I love the new veg options on their new menu! The vegetarian omelet it delicious! The owners are amazing and friendly and so attentive. The gentleman out front is so sweet and goes out of his way to make everything perfect and what a smile! Go say hi and enjoy the great food and yummy pastries!

Yum! love me some Spanish food! I work around the area and never notice other plaza around me other than número uno and Lido’s. This place is hidden next to cricket on Michigan! I stop by because I’ve heard positive things about this place and you don’t happen to find a lot of restaurants that happen to make Puerto Rican food. Very delicious and really cheap ! The co owner(owner son) was very helpful and extremely nice and had great conversation with him while waiting for my empanada(which btw was hot and fresh and of course yummy! I’ll be stopping by frequently now!

Very sweet woman behind the counter! The bread the sandwiches come on is fresh and flakey and the home fries are to die for. Great place.

I almost missed this spot because it blends in with the other store fronts in this strip mall. I was the only one here for a good 45 minutes. The spot seems to be managed by one person. I waited in the front for a good minute before a mid-age lady in a net came out, asked me what I wanted, then scurried to the back and cooked it herself. You take a seat and wait. Café bustelo is served… American style? A little weird, but, I like bustelo I’ll still drink it. If I didn’t know any better I would be disgusted with the black grain but that’s normal… Sometimes… The breakfast was served super quick and it was tasty, especially for $ 2.99. Beats a fast food joint any day of the week. I guess if I’m in a pinch and I want a homestyle breakfast I would come back, but, I didn’t have anything to brag about, so I’ll give it an average rating.

Just dropped in for breakfast on a errand-filled Saturday morning and had a very nice experience! Simple, but delicious breakfast specials from $ 1.99-$ 3.99, well-prepared and served quickly. We can’t wait to come back to try their other dishes for lunch, including mofongo! Very friendly folks and a homey, welcoming environment make this tiny neighborhood gem a keeper! Don’t forget to check out their pastries, cookies and flans too!

Great little spot. The breakfast was well seasoned, good portion size, nice and friendly atmosphere. This is the type of place that quickly becomes apart of your daily routine. At $ 1.99 price point its really not worth my time to make my own breakfast.

The only thing good I can say about today’s breakfast is that it was cheap. My eggs were greasy, the potatoes looked and tasted like yesterday’s batch and the coffee was Weak. Although their menu says Bustelo Cappuccino, they don’t have it. Very disappointed I only went because the Unilocal reviews were favorable!

Great place, prices are very good and staff is really welcoming. Even tough the place is not so beautiful, the food tastes great and was well prepared.

In addition to the Latin food, they make some nice pastries here, which are my favorite item here. I stop by to get some to go from time to time. This appears to be a family run business, and you will see the whole family here, including the children.

Wow! What a find. $ 2.99 for breakfast including coffee of O.J. The lunch specials change daily and appear to be made from scratch. I don’t do sweets but the display cases are packed with dozens of different types of homemade pastries, cakes & pies. If you’re in the neighborhood, you have to give it a try. The owner always has a big smile

I work in the downtown area & decided to come try this place out after finding their business card in our lobby. Very pleased to say the least. I ordered a $ 4.99 lunch special that included yellow rice, breaded chicken & beans. The beans were surprisingly delicious because I’m not usually a huge fan, but it was all very good. I went with another co-worker & she felt the same way. That definitely won’t be our last visit. We’ll keep in mind for catering purposes also. Quick and friendly service & quaint but clean spot. Enjoyed!

The wife and I dropped in on a whim for a quick breakfast. We ordered a breakfast special featuring 2 eggs(mine over easy, hers over hard) salami, potatoes, and toast for $ 3.50. Everything was cooked perfectly and deliciously simple. There’s no fuss in this delightful hole in the wall. We will be going back to try some of the lunch specials that sounded delicious as well.

On the corner of Michigan street and one block east of Orange Avenue in Orlando. Right next to the pawn shop. I just like saying that. Next to the pawn shop. :) It’s not $ 2.99 for the breakfast special. Well, it is depending on what you order. It’s truly $ 1.99 for a daily breakfast special. Very few options which can be a god thing when looking for a nice little breakfast joint. Eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, etc. Perfect choices for me. Sweets and treats at all times of the day. They also make custom cakes for all occasions. They open at 6:30am and close at 5:00pm. Monday to Saturday. 6:30am to 2pm on Sundays. They post their lunch specials everyday on Facebook. They have a small buffet for lunch. Beans, rice, meats, and today they had Lasagna. Great variety of foods. Just $ 4.99 for their daily lunch specials. They have Mofongo as well. Small place with a lot of loyal local customers. Most of the people pick up their empanadas for breakfast and head on out. I was lucky to sit down and enjoy the ambience for a bit. My breakfast special was the number one. Two eggs, home fries, and a passion fruit juice. Their toast was magnificent. For all of us who have a breakfast budget, this is the place to be. Dabeni is always there to greet you when you come in and the breakfast is made on the spot. I had come here a few months ago with @annrodoz and Dabeni was very friendly and always in a great mood. Today was no different. If using a credit card there is a $ 5.00 minimum. Needless to say, I bought lots of sweets to meet the minimum. Dabeni, Gracias por todo. El desayuno estuvo delicioso.

Dabeni’s is a comfortable place; a type of breakfast, lunch or dinner spot that makes a community a community. Regardless of whether you call this area SoDo, Wadeview Park or Downtown South, this little Latin spot on Michigan Street a couple of blocks east of Orange is a newly-welcomed inhabitant to the neighborhood. Dabeni’s is not a vegetarian’s paradise, but if you eat fish as I do, you can order a finely-put-together tilapia lunch special for only six bucks. The special included yellow rice, beans, a salad and fried plantanos, served on a real plate! They are open every day. Besides a meal, there’s a good variety of cakes, pies and other sweet things available here. Mofongos are advertised at $ 4.99!

I found this little gem on my walkabouts off Orange and Michigan ave. Having guava pastries and other Latin desserts I opted for the $ 4.99 breakfast with sausage, toast, hash browns and coffee. It was an ok value, the sausage was a bit small but the coffee was some of the best I have had in a while. They also have a $ 1.99 breakfast special which I believe is eggs, toast and coffee and many lunch specials. If you live in the Pinecastle or Sodo area take a walk off the beaten path and check out this little eatery, and support local independent business.
