D & C Barber Shop

I can understand the mixed reviews. This facility is nice and clean, and reasonably priced… But who provides the service (be it a cut or a shave) depends on your overall experience. Our main man is Christian. He is AMAZING, a true master of his craft. My boys both adore him — one day we sat in an empty chair as Christian was busy with several people waiting for him, and that was a mistake on our part. The boys hair cuts were below average in quality and we learned our lesson.
So we rate this place with 5 stars because Christian gives 110% to his clients.

I gave 5 stars specifically due to the value for the money of the haircut. There’s no real small talk unless you know Spanish. Simply put one a good cut at a $ 12 cheap price in this area.

This barbershop is great! Really good haircuts for a very good price! The barbers are mostly Spanish-​speaking Dominicans, but they do speak English. The best place for boys and men’s haircuts of all ethnicities. $ 12 per cut. Cash only (there is an ATM in there). I have seen them do great kid haircuts on Caucasian, Asian, Latin and African-​American boys.
They also sell snacks there.
I have never done it, but I’ve seen them give great shaves as well.
Skip Great Clips, forget about Sports Clip, put the kibosh on Hair Cuttery and RUN to this place!
Who knows? You may even leave dancing a little Salsa in your step!

I took my son here to get his cut here and first all he needed was an edge up they cut my son’a hair and it was uneven cause they cut one side of his head higher then the other, as you can see from the picture I posted, plus he was all cut up from the razor itself. My son is 10 so he doesn’t move once he is in the chair and he has been getting haircuts since he was 5 with no problems elsewhere. I would not recommend this place at all. Plus I still had to pay for this horrible haircut! Unbelievable!

Couldn’t imagine ever going back to a Great Clips or any other chain. When I go to those chains I pay $ 14 for a run of the mill buzz cut. At D&C I paid $ 16 for a perfect, precise line cut on ny head AND face. Got a hot towel wrap and straight edge razor shave on my face too.
Place is clean and the guys working there were all super nice.
Best $$ I ever spent.

I have a personal barber that I go to but when he’s busy I come her and its just as good.
I’m giving this place 5 stars because of a great value… and not to be rude but its easier to communicate what I want in a cut as opposed to the Old Winter Garden location where I could not be understood. Which I understand, and is fine.
If you have a specific person you like ot might take a little bit of a wait. Otherwise there are a ton of barbers that seem ready as soon as you walk in.
Overall the location is clean. I usually get a cut and tip 5 thats the same as getting a cut at a salon but love the fresh edges that salons don’t offer.

An utterly remarkable male hygienic experience. The haircut and beard trim took almost 45 minutes, which normally would be entirely too long EXCEPT the precision and perfection they put into every single hair (face and head); the various creams and lotions all augmented with hot towels and massaged into the pores; the old-​school barber chairs that ensure everything is just right; the final product that is 100 percent SPOT ON.
And all for $ 15?!?
This is old-​fashioned excellence, with a curious but fine NBA theme (they were actually playing live D-​League games — NBA’s minor leagues, on the multiple TVs — they must love their hoops).
Worth the trip from Thornton Park for sure.

I am a former Marine and old-​school barber shop aficionado. I happened upon this shop and it is the best you will find in West Orlando. The price for services is simply unparalleled and you will be bombarded for a cut the moment you walk through the door. I highly recommend «Junior» (3^rd chair in on the left).
I get a bald fade with beard trimming all for a mere $ 15. I tip $ 10 a pop and my barber always spends about 30 – 45 minutes meticulously grooming me to perfection. After a flawless cut, he tilts my chair back, applies balm and a hot towel to my face. Then he artfully sculps my beard with a fresh razor. I’ve often drifted to sleep in Junior’s chair only to be awakened by the vibrating massage.
The shop is VERY clean with baseball stadium seating in the center for waiting customers. Music videos are played on flat screens posted on the wall around the periphery. The staff is also predominately Puerto Rican so you will be treated to lots of jovial Spanish conversations among the barbers. Its typical barber shop ambiance at this spot. If you are seeking a good old fashioned hair cut and hot razor shave — make this place your new home for haircuts.

Consistently good hair cut for a consistently low price!
I have been getting my hair cut here for about a year now and have only been disappointed once when my beard was trimmed too narrow. Besides that all of my experiences have been pleasant.
I always get my haircut here but not always by the same barber, they have tons of barbers and chairs (usually at least 6 working at any time plus 1 or 2 hair stylists for women). I always walk in, no appointment, and have only had to sit down to wait once (for about 5min) before being called up to the chair. Although I am always taken care of right away the hair cut usually takes longer than other places in the past no matter which barber I see.
All haircuts are only $ 10, $ 8 for a shave, and $ 15 for both at once. As with any place, make sure you describe in detail what you want.
FUN FACT: If you get a shave, they do it old school style with warm towel and shaving cream. They even use a vibrating massage tool to massage your face and shoulders while the cloth is on your face! I’d be lying if I said I never dozed off for a few seconds in the chair.
