Ordered a happy family which is over 15.00 dollars. The meat was overly cooked. Like Grizzle. The total dish was fixed poorly. Had this dish several times from here always fresh and good, as well as very tasty. the item given me tonight. Was if was put together with what was left over in the kitchen. Ingredients were missing. Im surprised that the food was allowed to go out to customers this way.

Over the past 4 months we have had a lucky string of good encounters ordering Chinese food for delivery every month or so on our long road trip. Unfortunately this was not one of them. The portion sizes were big. Half of what we ordered is now in the freezer for left overs. For the two of us we ordered: SWEET&SOURSHRIMP — way too much doughy batter(1.5″ balls that we could barely find the good sized shrimp inside). We prefer Japanese style panako crusted shrimp at other restaurants offer. The sweet and sour sauce was plentiful and tasty. HONEYWALNUTCHICKEN — not enough sauce & chicken was not tender plus the breading was too thick and was tasteless. ORANGEBEEF — meat too tough and orange sauce not flavourful in any way. HOUSEFRIEDRICE — a single portion substituted for the 3 white rice portions that the order would have come with(for a $ 3 up charge). The house fried rice was actually very good. They delivered a crazy amount of soy sauce, plumb sauce and mustard sauce — we used none of that. Wasteful. Maybe we caught them on a bad night.

Our Chinese family was excited to enjoy some Chinese food while vacationing in Orlando. This is not the place to do that… Our hot and sour soup was neither hot or sour. It was lukewarm and rather tasteless. The dumplings were doughy and small. The sweet and sour pork dish was not hot or crispy. The whole meal was a major disappointment. We’re from the San Francisco Bay Area and are used to excellent Asian food. This restaurant was close to our timeshare but after our experience at Citrus Garden, we decided to eat at Tokyo Sushi, which was a few doors down and were happy enough with the food there, to go there twice!

Ordered delivery at 6:45pm and was told it would be delivered in 45 minutes. 1 hour 10 minutes later it arrives with sweet and sour sauce busted over all of the egg rolls and One plate. At 9:24 I received new egg rolls and sweet and sour sauce for cold chicken… Not Happy!

I visited Citrus Garden for the first time on a Saturday, and decided to go for the sweet & sour chicken lunch special with an egg roll and fried rice. The food was tasty and fresh. The chicken had nice chunks of breast meat and a good batter coating. I liked that the sauce was served in a bowl on the side to control the amount. The fried rice was good but needed a little soy sauce to provide some flavor. Portions were really good, with enough for almost two meals. The egg roll was stuffed full, too. The lunch special came to less than $ 6 plus tax for all that food, which makes it a really good deal for lunch. The only reason i didn’t give 5 stars was the service was efficient but not overly friendly. Our server wasn’t rude, but she performed the minimum of service. I would still eat here again. The restaurant is tucked away in the side of the Publix plaza, next to the Orlando Premium Outlets — Vineland.

Food was oily and mediocre. Never served us any water. Can’t wait to be getting out of that place.

These guys were a life saver! We are staying at the Marriott hotel where there are ridiculous limits on choices. These guys delivered in 35 minutes– as they told me they would. The food was delicious and I couldn’t eat it fast enough… I watched scandal, took a bite, watched scandal… Next thing I knew my meal was gone. Yum yum. I had the walnut shrimp and house friend rice… Aghhhhh amazing! So good and plan on doing it again tomorrow. Screw the Marriott hotel! The lady who delivered was lovely and the food was hot, fresh and yummy. Not sure who is writing these other reviews — maybe competitors trying to ruin their competition? Regardless these guys deserve to be eaten! Do it!

I was really disappointed with Citrus Garden. My boyfriend used to live in Orlando in 2011. This was our go to place for orange chicken and hot and sour soup. In 2015, we visited Orlando again! The hot and sour soup lacked flavor. Hot and sour soup is all about the black vinegar and white peppers with a deep pork flavored broth. About 4 years ago, Citrus Garden had all these flavor in their hot and sour soup but now all flavors are gone. I think their chef might have changed. Since it’s been 4 years! The orange chicken was okay! We had our food to-go and we were stuck in traffic due to disneyworld. If we gotten the orange chicken on time; we might have had a different experience with the chicken. However, the orange chicken is really good, I must say! I probably won’t be coming back here anymore because of the hot and sour soup. If a restaurant can’t make a good hot and sour soup(which is really easy BTW) it’s a disappointment!

Wow if I could give a negative rating I would. The food was tasty but 2 ½ hours to deliver with four call backs to the restaurant is absurdity. I could have made tempura chicken with sweet and sout sauce myself at that pooint

Food isn’t bad. Quick & Simple. Not overly greasy. Now if you’re looking for service — this is not that type of place. Ambience: Fake plants, a booth is used for office equipment, they prep food in front of you(weird), bathroom is disgusting.

Ordered delivery, very nice on the phone, delivery guy was nice, food exactly as ordered. Longer than quoted time, but the weather outside easily made them busier than anticipated, so I can’t take away for that. Will definitely order from them again.

My husband and I ordered take out on Friday night may 22nd, 2015. Got our food home and absolutely loved it. We got the House Fried rice, shrimp Lo mein, and crab Rangoon. All were delicious and satisfying. The shrimp was perfect and Not overdone. We ate the leftovers later on and still, it was so good. We will definitely be making this our Chinese takeout place! The man inside was very cool and fast. Everyone complaining about customer service can Relax. It’s Chinese food, and it’s delicious. Thank you, citrus garden!

bad attitude goes along with fair food. not worth the drive. Egg to young had no taste and gravy was thin. Chicken fried rice was flavorless and the chicken and brocolli tasted like water. We LOVE Chinese food but not this Chinese food. There are many other Chinese take out places to choose from.

Stopped by while canvassing the area. Everyone was very friendly. Empty as it was 2:30. Ambiance is ok. But I don’t eat ambiance. Ordered lunch combo. General Tso’s Chicken @ 6.25. Came with choice of soup /egg roll &choice of rice. I had Hot & Sour soup which was very good, fried rice, which was also very good and not greasy. The amount of chicken on the plate was unbelievable. Way to much to finish. This is one of the better Chinese food meals I have had in 29 yrs in Florida. I use to eat in Chinatown in New York. If your in the area it is worth a visit or call for delivery if your at a nearby hotel. Enjoy!

Tucked away on south I-Drive, this no-frills Chinese restaurant is perfect if you need a late night bite and don’t want drive through. It is very standard commercial Chinese and is that very well. I wasn’t a fan of the sheer number of employees sitting around the restaurant, but it was a late night, and I was the only one in there. I’m not sure who this place is meant to cater to…

We ordered food here one night to be delivered. The apartment complex was repeated to the lady on the phone at least three times because there is one nearby that is managed by the same company(and it can be confused). We KNEW that the confusion could happen so confirmed with the lady on the phone before we hung up. Then began our our few hour wait. Of course the driver went to the wrong address… The lady on the phone was very irritated when we called back and complained that our food was cold and did not offer any compensation. On top of that, the food was not well seasoned and lacked sauce. Maybe it was because it was cold and had been sitting in a car so long…

During the stay in Orlando — my boyfriend, family, and I came here for take out & to stay. It’s pretty spacious inside, but a very dreary atmosphere. Food isn’t anything too special, but it’s good enough. The staff are friendly and helpful. It seems to be the only Asian restaurant in the area we were staying so if we ever stay in proximity to Citrus Garden and craving Asian food, then I guess we would come back here then.

Given the limited number of overpriced options on this stretch of I-Drive, this was a great quick fix on the way home. I wasn’t expecting anything authentic or artisan – this is your run of the mill Americanized Chinese food. Fortunately, they do Americanized Chinese food well. I ordered the General Tso chicken special. The chicken wasn’t too breaded and the sauce wasn’t too cloying, making for tasty morsels. The pork fried rice had tons of pork, egg, and veggie and wasn’t swimming in grease. The egg roll was fresh and crunchy. Next time I’m in this neck of the woods, I’ll probably be back. Friendly people and food done right. What more is there to ask for?
