I am a Long time customer at the Chimi King food truck coming in at least twice a week sometimes more than that even because it’s a great place to stop late night and grab very good authentic chimi’s although the service at this truck is TERRIBLE. Just 3 days ago I was waited outside the truck for almost 25 minutes(No I’m not exaggerating) for them to take my order with no one ahead of me in line. After already waiting 10 minutes the older man that’s usually there would rather go inside the gas station to do who knows what I suppose use the restroom then attend to the 5+ people in line or even reassuring us that he would take our orders soon or that he would be right back which is unprofessional and annoying to be frank. When he came back and I thought he would finally take our orders he went to go on to do other things and not once look our way and basically pretend we weren’t there. The only reason he took my order was because I had call him let him know we had all been waiting a good 20 minutes already(Note it’s chilly outside) after that he said he was busy doing something and he would take our orders soon. Finally after a another 5 minutes or so he finally took my order and the 5+ people behind me. The worst part of this is I have been coming to this place religiously for the past 2 years treated terribly. I don’t think I will be coming anymore after multiple incidents like this one already. Food is great but the service is disgusting, won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Love it ! I’m Colombian so I didn’t really know anything about chimis until my boyfriend took me one day and ever since then I’ve been hooked on it oh but always call ahead because normally it’s packed and waiting while you’re hungry is pleasant.

The Food was good, it was not over price the right portion and they accept credit card it’s very hard to order fry food without been over greasy but they accomplish that! Right seasons and deliciously good overall

My friend said the meat tasted like cheap Walmart. He is from here so I believe him. It was unseasoned and the cabbage was uncooked.

Well… In my opinion is good, but not the same. If you are used to the real deal then you won’t enjoy it, but if you never had a chimi in Dominican Republic then you will like it. I’ve had better chimis before but there is not a lot of options here in orlando.

If I come to Orlando, I make a point to visit this place. It’s a taste of authentic Dominican Republic flavors and traditions right here in the heart of Orlando. Home prepared food, it’s doesn’t get any better than this. Wish they would expand their business to Miami.

Best chimis in Orlando. I really love the chicken churri. The flavors are really spectacular and the prices are really reasonable. There is a food truck they have also on OBT that takes care of the late night crowd. If you haven’t tried it out or are just in town for a bit, this is the place to go.

Options for late night grub is rare in Orlando. So we mostly settle for food trucks. Chimiking is one of the great ones. Food always made fresh. Menu is pretty limited but you really can’t be picky at 2 am. Gets busy during bar closing hours always see a long line.

I was really apprehensive to try the food when my fiancé dragged me here. He made me try a beef chimi and I fell in love! I crave these things all the time now. So delicious and fresh. Well worth the $ 6!

I kept hearing about how good their beef chimi is so I had to try it. I’m definately a fan; it’s a burger with cabbage, tomato, and lots of sauce. It was delicious. The problem I find with food trucks is the wait time, but they were fairly quick considering and my burger was fully cooked. I would recommend their truck and will be back. If beef isn’t you’r thing, they also offer a chicken chimi and other food options.

Heard about this place and had to try out their Chimi Sandwich. It is as awesome as it was when I ate it from their food truck. Tried the chicken Chimi and it was very satisfying. The place is not hard to find, located in the plaza corner of Whisper Lakes… street or something and OBT. The place also serves foods you choose to make a «platter» or «combo meal» so go nuts and enjoy spanish food.

This is one of my favorite spots for after hours eating. The chimichurri is so perfect. I call it the Dominican whopper

Chimi King is offering, in my arrogant opinion, the best beef Chimichurri Dominican burger in Orlando. I’ve had many a Chimi in the Greater Orlando area and by far, this one packs the most punch. For $ 5.00, this sandwich is a force to be reckoned with. Upon receipt, you can’t help but notice the weight of this comfort burger despite it’s seemingly small size. Seasoned beef, coarsely shredded fresh cabbage cooked in tangy/sweet sauce, two slices of tomato in between Pan de Agua(water bread). What makes this sandwich particularly addicting for me is the sauce. Recipes may vary between those who make it. Although from my research, I gather it’s made of Worcester Sauce, Ketchup, Mayo and a small amount of orange juice. The sauce alone pulls all the ingredients together for a savory, tangy, sweet and hearty flavor experience. I’ve had my fair share of Chimis from other food trucks and my biggest complaint is that they don’t have enough beef in comparison to the bread. Chimi King doesn’t have this problem. Every inch of bread is matched with their wonderfully seasoned(oregano/sazon?) beef patty. When you bite into it, make sure you have plenty of napkins on the ready. The delicious sauce will be alllll over the place. The only thing that would make Chimi King absolutely perfect, is if they had a Pernil(pulled pork shoulder) option. They do have a Pollo(chicken) version, but the Pernil is a special, special treat. However, I can’t knock them on the lack of pork since the traditional Dominican Chimichurri is made with ground beef. If you want to try a Pernil Chimi, you’ll have to drive a couple miles to a food truck called«Dominican Chimi». My friend has long been telling me about this burger from her days in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan, to her days growing up in the Dominican Republic. She confesses this has been the closest thing to the real deal in Orlando and is comparable to all her years chomping on Chimis. From what she describes as the perfect Chimi, Chimi King is right on point. Another perk to making the trek out to this food truck? The customer service is fantastic. The customer base being mostly Latin in heritage, it’s understandable if you may feel like an outcast. But the fine folks running the truck make you feel right at home and are amazingly efficient. Need some sustenance to hold you down but not sure where to go? Bored of the same foods? Make it out to Chimi King, you might be surprised.

Yummy Dominican chimichurris(like a Dominican steakburger… burger, cabbage, sauce, tomatoes). Also have empanadas, yaroa(fries topped with mozzarella cheese, chicken, danes, and maybe something else), chinola(passionfruit juice), and maybe a few other things. Chimis are $ 5 and so worth it. Yaroa is $ 6, and I think the chinola is $ 2. This place is ONLYOPEN Thurs-Sun, and only at night. I know they’re open until 4am Thurs-Sat. I think they open at 7:30 every night. I’ll copy down their hours next time I go. But there’s always a line of Dominicans coming from the clubs, who know where the good food is at. Oh, also, this is a food truck, and they are in the parking lot of the place at this address. Look for the big sign that says«PONDS.» Try it! Phone # is 4075356652. Call for hours if you want to make sure they’re open. Oh and cash only, as is to be expected at a food truck.
