This has been the WORST experience I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant. My family and I had to literally wait an HOUR in the drive-through just to place our order and probably another twenty minutes to receive our food. On top of that, the employees were cussing and being extremely unprofessional. This was our first time here and honestly out last. Terrible customer service. Would give it zero stars if it was an option.

Quite possibly the most horrible experience I’ve ever received at a drive-through. First off their speakers blown so when you are trying to talk with them The volume is so loud that it feels like it’s going to blow out your own ears, not that you can understand what they’re saying anyways. Overall the staff was extremely rude, and wouldn’t attempt to make any accommodation when asked to see a menu. But who is kidding, no one cares about their job here anyways, or the customer experience, and all they’re doing is collecting a paycheck.

The cashier was very rude. When we ordered our food she acted as if we were an inconvenience to her. She also acted that way towards other customers as well. The tables were dirty, nobody wiped off the tables after customers left. The floors had food everywhere, nobody swept. But I guess you get what you pay for!

Went to orlando and went to this checkers. It was disgusting and nasty. There was trash everywhere. Napkins wrappers cups almost on every table and the floors with old fries. The trash overflowing. Yhe floor is carpet and the bathroom in deplorable conditions. The arcade games were out of service in a dank room in the back and there were sketchy homeless men sitting in the seats watching us. I was not comfortable being here. I dont understand how such a big corporation lets this happen. First we had gone to the drive thru just to order ONE fries. They took about 15 minutes and nothing. We went inside. The line took about 15 more minutes and not to mention there was about 7 people infront of us. We went to the mcdonalds infront

Ate here twice during my vacation in Orlando last week. My review can be summed up in two words: Wasted Potential. In a tourism-driven city, this place should pack them in. Sadly, it does not, and I immediately noticed several major reasons why. Not having a Checkers near me I stopped in for my first visit during mid afternoon. I was one of four or five people in the dining room and yet the service was extremely slow. Staff was less than friendly and a couple of them were arguing with no mind to whether or not there were customers around. I ordered a Bacon Cheese Champ with fries and a root beer. The burger was great — in fact one of the best I had had in some time — and the fries were well seasoned but a little overdone. The drink was somewhat flat. Here is the major issue I have with this place. First of all it is obvious they put a lot of work into the dining room. The walls are hand painted murals with 50s and 60s icons, they have oldies playing, and the furniture is diner-esque. The sign over the counter boasts that it is the world’s largest Checkers. Having said that — it is really not that well maintained. There is a game room in the back, and roughly half the games were broken. The further back you go in that direction, the more the carpet smells like urine and burger joint trash(do they take the trash out through the dining room back door or something?) Restrooms are run down and even when I went near open on my second visit, they weren’t that clean and there was a hole punched in the wall near the urinal. The most disturbing part of my visit happened the first time when what was presumably a female manager and an older female employee came out of the kitchen and had a full-on argument in the dining room in front of the few customers that were there. This went on for a good five minutes with voices being raised, employees huffing back through the kitchen door, etc. It was reminiscent of a scene you would see on one of those restaurant or bar«rescue» shows. The only reason I came back a second time was because of how fantastic the burger was. The second meal(a Big Buford with bacon) did not disappoint. While the small sized value meal was not enough food, the medium was too much and I could not finish it. The menu is so varied you could probably order something different every day for a month and not eat the same thing twice. If this place wants to survive, the crew needs to start getting along, working as a team, paying attention to detail and being respectful to and around customers. Otherwise the World’s Largest Checkers may be no more in the near future.

How the mighty have fallen. Checkers used to be one of my favorite fast food joints. When the burgers and fries are made right, they are some of the best in the business. I guess the staff don’t care enough to put out a quality product. The food is rarely hot, and the fries are often greasy. I used to love getting chocolate banana shakes here too. They must have changed the recipe. Now the shakes are barely cold, and they taste bad. The only good thing they have left is the twist cone. I hope that doesn’t change…

Crispy Fish Sandwich — flaky and crispy fish, bun was ok(mcd’s fillet o fish better) First timer, but I heard they are quite a big chain, must be something that’s bigger out on the East Coast. Needed a quick, cheap bite to eat so I stopped in. Crispy Fish Sandwich — It’s like a McDonald’s Filet-o-Fish, but cheaper. The fish was moist, the breading/crush was crunchy, there was ample tartar sauce. BUT the bun fell short. Having the Filet-O-Fish bun(or something equivalet) would have been a great addition.

Nothing like going to Checker’s at night. The burgers and Parmesan wings and fries are always delicious

I gotta say, the place(inside) is not very nice at all. It kinda has a smell to it that I did not appreciate while eating but the food OHLORDJESUSWASAMAZING. I wanted to go to this place every night I was in Orlando, but my boyfriend thought I was nuts! We went to nice, fancy restuarants while in Orlando, and this was my second favorite out of 10 places we went to. This is a must try but I would suggest Drive-Thru.

This place is the epitome of drunk fast food, but oh my gosh is it delicious. The wings are fantastic, have just the right amount of crisp to sauce ratio. The chili cheese fries are incredible as well. The burger is a nice hefty, greasy burger, but I suppose that’s exactly what you look for during those late nights. Definitely great fast food! I’m from the west coast so I don’t even get this place where I’m at, so I will def miss it!

Lots of options here! We drove by and figured let’s try this place out as we do not have these up north. They offer typical burger joint options such as burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, chicken strips, fries… but they also offer chicken wings with different flavors, loaded fries(bacon, cheese, sour cream), mozzarella sticks, and different desserts. We ordered around the menu to try different things, and I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t bad! The cashier was kind of slow so it took a bit long to get our food, but it was slow day so only 2 people ahead of us in line. The place was clean and well kept. That includes the parking park. Overall, great place to go grab a quick bite.

I usually come here pretty late so the service is pretty good. My food is always right and fresh and hot. The drive thru hours are awesome. They’re open until 4am. I’d rather eat here over mcdonalds

Place looks pretty run down.(Ex: bathroom with many stains, trash cans were missing their covers) Service wasn’t great either. We asked for no cheese on our order and it was ignored. Fries were okay, the rest wasn’t very satisfying.

I stopped by after hitting up a bar. I’m not sure what their hours are but they’re open fairly late. I got 2 spicy chicken sandwiches and an order of fries which came out to $ 3.xx(I was expecting $ 4.xx). The food came out fast and was hot and delicious. My experience was fine overall, no different than any other fast food place.

Service was very friendly. The girl at the counter was really nice and patient with what were needy and rude people. Not sure how she does it. Burgers were a bit undercooked for fast food beef. None the less we will be back but we will certainly be using the drive through.

The fries and burgers here are great. But don’t ever venture inside! The best part about it was the soap in the bathroom. Dirty floors, Dirty tables, Dirty everything.

No. Absolutely not. I was rooting for this place all the way. Across Sand Lake from the McDonalds with the world’s largest playplace(which, when I was growing up, was the World’s Largest McDonalds) they’ve nestled the«World’s Largest Checkers.» It’s such a cute little gimmick! – it’s just a Checkers with a small dining room and a few arcade games. But with the dozen or so little tables inside, it sure is the only Checkers I’ve ever had the ability to walk inside of. So that’s cute, touristy cuteness. But then the service — — - oh my word. Never has a two-minute interaction taken me so close to a fistfight. I know it’s fast food, but this was some serious ineptitude followed by outright spite. And the food, well … it’s Checkers. You eat it for the memories, not because it’s good. Husband and I put some serious crap into our bodies on occasion, but Checkers makes you question the way you live your life.
