Tried to go for lunch at the Metrowest location however they were closed. Not sure if they just don’t open for lunch or if they are closing altogether. Checked their website and they don’t post their hours for the Metrowest location, only Crane’s Roost. Very strange!

Definitely one of the best places to go for a nice dinner. From the time we walked in til the time we left the staff gave us impeccable customer service. The host was very polite, friendly and welcoming, as was the server, we could tell they were genuinely happy to take care of us. The server recommended some specials for us and we ordered the scallop appetizer as well as the 6oz filet mignon topped with an amazingly rich lobster sauce and 2 shrimp. Both of these dishes were their recommended specials for the day and it was easy to see why, they were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The filet mignon literally melts in your mouth. We were informed that all the food is made from scratch daily and you can definitely tell it’s all fresh, nothing came from frozen not even the desserts. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Also, the pricing was very fair, and quite similar to what other restaurants charge, but the food here would blow the others away for certain as would their amazing customer service. We’ll definitely be going back!

I love the drink specials for happy hour(2 for 1) and the location is gorgeous right in veranda park on the lake. However, there aren’t many options for happy hour appetizers(only pizza) and the entrees are very big and pricey. Would like to see some lighter options.

This place is the reason I got the Unilocal app. The food is horrible and plain — on par or worst than the Olive Garden! We ordered mostly just salads without dressing. The staff and managers don’t know how to appreciate or accommodate guest. My husband and I used too work in fine-dining but we don’t expect the red carpet treatment when we go to Murano but the service was always slow and lack luster. We will never go there again, don’t waste your money!

Great place for a quick lunch during the week. Good lunch special of ½ sandwich and side salad(good size) for $ 8. Friendly service but a woe is me server. Not interested in that. Food was delicious and quick. Will be back.

Service is always friendly and welcoming! Décor is some of the most beautiful pieces I’ve seen. Gorgeous patio overlooking a lake. Food is just as amazing. If you have a party of people, do the family style. Large portions and affordable.

Delicious! Ordered the chicken murano salad and three cheese and arugula pizza on gluten free crust. Best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful– she recommended both items, and boy, were they great recommendations!

This is a nice little place in the Metrowest plaza! It’s kind of hidden by the back parking lot of the Veranda building but great for a neighborhood restaurant bar! We come here often with some of my neighbors to have some drinks and mini pizzas during happy hour. I don’t give it 5 stars because the one time my husband and I came here for dinner the pasta that I had –penne a la vodka– was very bitter and I could not eat it at all. Other than that, the service is great, the appetizers are good and we always have a great time. Plus the decoration is really warm and cozy! :)

We have tried this place a few times and there is always a problem. «Best Happy Hour in town!»??? Hardly. Yes, some okay drink specials, but only one item of food on special during this so-called«Happy Hour». A one topping personal pizza. Service is hit and miss and the bartenders definitely need to understand how to speak to customers. We ordered a pizza with meatball topping. The one bartender said meatballs was a «special«topping and not available for the happy hour deal. The other bartender said it was and ultimately we had one with meatball topping. We decided to order another one and she said that the meatball topping was not supposed to have been on the first one and that we couldn’t have a 2nd. «It’s made with veal and more expensive!» So, now she makes us feel guilty about having the first one. But, let’s be clear we are talking about an 8 inch round pizza(at best) that might have ONE sliced meatball on top. After that we won’t go back. Their new location has had issues with other restaurants and unless they do something about their attitude and service I don’t think Murano’s in MetroWest will last.

Totally agree w andi p. the outdoor area is awesome. Having happy hour now. Had calamari. Sautéed. Really great. Will be back. Happy hour on Saturday is new. Bartender says until 5pm. She also says a new brunch menu is in the works. Vanessa is our bar tender. So attentive and personable! Btw. Vanassa looks like Jayde Donovan!

This place is worth it based on the outside seating alone! It is in Crane’s Roost along the water and has ample outdoor seating with plenty of shade and fans. The hostesses are well aware of what spots are more or less sunny and they’ll help guide you to the perfect spot if you look in the least bit unsure. The food is pretty good. I’ve had their 9inch three cheese & arugula pizza(which is very big!) and it did not disappoint! It was drizzled with balsamic glaze and was not greasy at all. In fact, it held up well the second/third time around(#leftovers4days). I really enjoyed the meatball sliders too(3 meatball mini sandwiches with arugula and reggiano parmigiano). This is a go-to for me when I have a lunch meeting and I’ve seen baby shower lunches held there a few times so I know they will work with larger groups. Go to be blown away by the ambiance on a nice Florida spring/fall day and leave satisfied.

Café Murano in Altamonte Springs sits between the mall and the popular Crane’s Roost Park and has been a local hangout for years. Just before the Christmas holiday, a second location was opened in the Veranda Park complex in Metrowest. The location is tricky. It sits off the busy Hiawassee Road and is fairly hidden from the shoppers of Metrowest Village. This is the third restaurant for this location in 6 years, the first being Dan Marino’s Tavern on the Lake. When Dan Marino’s closed, the restaurant was remodeled and opened without the Marino name– just called Tavern on the Lake. I ate at both of these restaurants and I thought the food was great. Hopefully, Café Murano won’t end up as just another memory of what was once a thriving area for nightlife(anyone remember those nightclubs that were briefly opened along the back strip there? Ya– most people don’t.) Not a fine-dining spot but a huge step above the chain outlets of Olive Garden and Carrabba’s, Café Murano offers a menu of Italian fare ranging from the simple Fettuccini Alfredo to the more complex Osso Bucco Ravioli. The lunch menu also offers lighter fare choices like a half sandwich, pizza or pasta with a soup or a salad. I visited Café Murano with my Dad in the early afternoon, before the business crowd left their offices for lunch so we had the place to ourselves at first. We were brought bread and dipping oil almost immediately, however, we were pretty hungry so we ordered the Zucchini Fritta appetizer. Small strips of zucchini lightly breaded and fried served with marinara sauce and a lemon. We both liked it and were off to a great start. My Dad ordered the Penne Vodka–«Penne pasta sauteed with pancetta in a pink vodka sauce» reads the menu. Well, there was nothing«pink» about his sauce– he even made a comment of the bright Velveeta orange color. Definitely looked more like a cheese sauce than a light tomato-based variety. However, while it loooked rather unappetizing, he seemed to like it enough though he didn’t rave about it. I ordered the Eggplant al Forno–«Layered with ricotta cheese, fresh spinach and marinara sauce, baked with mozzarella cheese and served with capellini pasta.» I was able to make one small change– I asked for a lemon butter sauce on my capellini instead of the usual marinara sauce and it was no problem. My eggplant was pretty good, almost like an eggplant roll stuffed with cheese. And while most people would probably complain about the small size, I thought it was a perfect portion for lunch. As a matter of fact, I ended up taking almost half of it home with me so maybe it was bigger than I had thought. As our lunch was winding down, there were a number of other patrons in the restaurant, though probably not as many as there should be during a weekday lunch in the middle of an office park. I hope the community catches onto this place, despite the bright glow in the dark pasta sauce, we both liked the restaurant, but it wasn’t anything special we would go out of our way for.

We decided to try out this new place for my sister’s birthday and we’re extremely disappointed. I had the Chicken Rollatini which sounded amazing but the taste left much to be desired for. The Marsala sauce was salty, mashed potatoes were dry and flavorless. Mozzarella sticks were mediocre. Sangria was super sour. and it goes on. Our service was not on point either. My daughter ordered a plate that she did not like. She was asked if we just wanted to take it home, since it was going to be tossed in garbage anyways, hesitantly I agreed since they were tossing it out anyways. When we got the bill we got charged for her meal! I addressed the waitress, at which point she explained that her manager stated that if we were taking it home, we’d have to pay for it. I decided to have them toss the meal instead. One waitress came by and asked if we wanted dessert. My husband asked me if I wanted to share something and I explained that I did not know what desserts they had. I thought they would come back with a dessert menu and was shocked when the waitress came back with our check. At that point I became annoyed and decided just to pay the bill and leave as quickly as possible. We love trying new places but I rather go to Carabba’s than this establishment.

Veal Piccata was stellar! Caesar salad a little wet for my taste, but lots of anchovie flavor which was delish… I swapped salads with my husband and the house vinaigrette on the«greens» house salad was light and spiced just right. HAPPY Hour is super! They have ½ price on wine, beer and wells and their selection of wines by the glass is really good– ends at 7pm. Lots of appetizers-easy to have a meal of just drinks and appetizers. Our server was attentive without being annoying and made excellent suggestions. Soooo happy to have great place to dine in our neighborhood!

Very impressed with Café Murano! I had the Capellini Marinara with chicken and broccoli, and he had the Penne Vodka. We shared the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake, which was accompanied by two shots of Limoncello poured over it. I’m a red wine kind of guy and I loved the Zenato Ripassa Valpolicella Superiore, a great Veneto wine. We are definitely coming back for more. Must check this place out.

Great new place with good prices and even better food. Staff is very friendly, as well. I had the lunch special today. You can really tell that everything is freshly made; from the pizza to the Caesar salad. I will definitely be frequenting this place.
