Backstage Billiards

Friendly, fast service, and Fun. What more do you want from a pool spot? They have a lot of TV’s, darts, and the prices are reasonable. I even see they have poker (for points) on the side. I come here every vacation. Orlando has so many tourist traps, its nice to see a business like this that cares about the customer. I will be back!

Cool place to play pool, the cheese sticks were run of the mill, plenty of pool tables, it was priced affordable, the specials are decent, but the place is smokey! It smells awful in there. My clothes reeked, my hair smelled awful and had to be washed 3x just to get that smell out. Our clothes had our hotel room smelly! Clorox lysol spray couldn’t even air the smell out. The waitress was attentive and friendly, no real complaints besides the smoke which took away 3 stars. My dude had some sort of mix up and had to go back the next day when they opened to get his Iicense. He was in there less than 3 minutes and smelled like an ashtray coming out. The place had just opened and there were no customers. This place needs a febreeze bomb!

One of my favorite and what I think is the best place to play pool or to catch the UFC fights you want to come to this place. The drinks are made well and priced appropriately. I been going here since I moved to Orlando from New York. They have legit 9 foot tables and constant drink specials. If you don’t mind the smoke swing on by.

For what it is, Backstage is just right. It’s a great place to go to play pool (there are tons of tables) and there are plenty of dart boards as well.
The crowd can be a bit sketchy, but that adds to the charm, right?
Drink prices are good, and they pour a strong drink, so that’s a plus. The bartenders are very nice but can be a bit slow to make it around to the tables for refills.
They use the TouchTunes Jukebox, so be sure to queue up your songs early. The last time we went they were playing some awful stuff. (Like where you wonder if they picked a particular song as a joke, that kind of bad.) On the bright side though, the music can be changed, you just have to pay for it.
Overall, I like this place. We don’t go often since it is a bit far for us, but it’s a good spot for that part of town. In an area that tends to be a bit touristy there are still a lot of locals that hang out here and that’s a good thing.

Backstage Billiards is a true locals bar, but also answers the drinking and recreation needs of the many «out-​of-​towners» that frequent the International Drive tourist area.
Here are the things I’ll say are definitely true:
You can smoke in Backstage. They have a bunch of smoke eaters, but if you walk in and have hung out around smokers, you’re going to smell like smoke. After all, its a sports bar and pool hall, not a day spa.
Cleanliness– Bathrooms are your typical bar standard, as for anywhere else, servers are always wiping down surfaces, and I’ve seen them clean up after hours, and I’m actually surprised how diligently the staff cleans even though they have someone else come in and clean before the bar opens as well.
Male — female ratio– It’s a pool hall, so naturally it tends to attract more men then women. Ladies will most likely be checked out. But its rare that I’ve ever seen anyone made to feel uncomfortable, and the staff are quick to control any situations within the hall that need to be handled.
Service– Backstage sets my standards for service. Their staff is the most attentive bar staff I’ve seen anywhere. I’ve gone to bars in the local area where bartenders don’t even acknowledge that you’ve been waiting for 5 minutes to order a drink. Backstage isn’t like this, ever. They may get busy, but a bartender looks at you and lets you know they’ll be right with you. Additionally, you’re never left wanting to place a drink order while they are idly chit chatting with each other.
They do everything in their power to answer the needs of their patrons, and they are «johnny-​on-​the-​money» when it comes to keeping dibs on their establishment.
Best of all their drinks are never watered down, and they have great nightly specials. When they have a themed party, the place comes to life, and it’s really a blast to be amidst this fun staff, and the friendly regulars that call Backstage their nightly home away from home.

This place has that whole dive bar feel to it which i love. The drinks are cheap and strong. I don’t like how smoky it is inside. You can play your own music with the juke box. And the crowd is hit or miss. If there is a bar tab going, pool is only $ 1/​hour/​per person.

As one reviewer said, yes, this place is gross. And you will reek of cigarette smoke afterwards. But it’s all about the experience! You should really give it a shot as it’s dirt cheap (I mean, $ 6 decent beer pitchers) and they have tons of pool tables. I came here with three guys after dinner and several drinks. If you want a cheap, fun night make sure you get to the juke box first and then get a table! The waitresses and bartenders are really friendly and fast, and they know what you are there for, to drink and have a good time.

Been coming to this place for 10 plus years. The bartenders here are awesome and friendly. They have a great amount of tables and I never have to wait for one. They also have corn hole and darts if you don’t want to play pool.
Every Tuesday they have drink specials, $ 4 you call it! You can’t beat that anywhere, so have your drinking pants ready!
The only downside to it is they NEED NEW pool sticks!!! Most of them are all crooked! If you’re a stickler like me, you need a straight stick!
Overall, I love coming to this place and won’t go anywhere else.

I’ve been coming here for years! Great place to have drinks after a long day’s work or just to meet up some friends. I love tuesday $ 4-​you-​call-​it night. It use to be only $ 2 but I guess with the economy they had to increase the price. Regardless $ 4 is great for me because I only drink top shelf liquor so it’s great on your wallet. You can also get food delivered there. Or order $ 5 personal size pizzas. Which is helpful if you need a little snack so you don’t get too tipsy. Only down fall is that it is ridiculously smokey. But other than that, if you can stand the smell– go for it!

Seriously, this place is nasty. I walked into a wall of smoke when I went inside and didn’t last longer than an hour. The drinks weren’t that cheap either. There must be better places to play pool, because I will never go there again. The place smelled bad, was next to a shady night club, and was full of drunk smokers.

My friend had gotten some free drink coupons, so we met up at Backstage Billiards. I have only been there once before and that was probably years ago.
As soon as I got out of the car, there was a guy outside watching me like a hawk. I was a bit creeped out. When I got inside, my friend told me that it was ladies night. Now it made sense. Every guy in the place (not that it was busy) were sizing us up. Again, a little more creepers.
The staff was very nice and attentive. I don’t have anything bad to say about them. They were great.
We played one game of pool, but I could feel the eyes on us. So we sat and just talked after that. An hour there was plenty. It might be more fun with a group.

Ok, so apparently our hour of pool ended up being free… But even after a few Coronas, you could not pay me enough to go back! The staff was fine — nothing special, but they were nice enough to make a transaction with.
The real problem I have with Backstage Billiards is the clients. I have never seen so many rude people in one place in my life! Everyone seemed to want to push through between tables every 2 seconds with no consideration for others in mid-​shot and such. A guy at the table next to us even had the nerve to blame my friend for taking her shot while he was trying to stand and do nothing at the end of the table!
Never, never, never again!

If your favorite past times include sports, drink specials, and bar games then I-​Drives Backstage Billiards is the best place in town for you. They have drink specials every night, great and friendly staff, and at least 20 tables.
My favorite part of this spot is their late hours and a full bar to serve you! Whether you are just visiting the area or you are a local looking for a new place to check out I would strongly suggest giving Backstage Billiards a shot!
