Have to agree with«over promise under deliver motto». Food was good. Service slow and not attentive. Soup and salad arrived promptly. We then waited 30 minutes and had to ask where our food was. Food then delivered without any acknowledgement of the delay. Never asked if we wanted more wine. Waiter removed my knife with salad course and never replaced it. The prices were very«Disney». That means outrageous. Dinner for two can easily approach $ 300. For that price everything(food/atmosphere). Should be fabulous. It wasn’t. The dining room décor is rustic in keeping with lodge atmosphere just wish patrons behavior and dress were not so rustic. I know it’s difficult especially at a theme park to have a dress code but people should try to look nice. Hoodie sweatshirts, shorts, sneakers and then others with nice dresses and ties. Then the kids behavior. If a child is shrieking for more than 5 – 10 minutes perhaps they could take the child to a private area to calm them? When in a «fine dining«restaurant children should remain seated and not get up and walk around the table. Simple things but parents seem to think all restaurants are they’re home away from home. Bottom line. Not special. Try somewhere else.

Had an amazing meal! I had the salmon and my friend had the pork shank, both had the mushroom soup. Fabulous flavor and presentation. If you are an Oregon Pinot Noir fan, they have an impressive list. Only drawback was that the food came out of the kitchen very slowly, and we were there very early before the place filled up. It was pricey but hey, it’s Disney. Of course it’s pricey.

We love most of the fine disney dining and my recommendation is go to California Grill, Narcoosees, Kona Café or one of the other restaurants. This was a disappointing experience. My husband had the fillet and said it was average. My Mom ordered the muscles as an appetizer and said they were quite good. For entrées my Mom and I ordered the scallops. They were horribly bitter — inedible. The waitress and manager tried to do the right thing and get us another order. Same result although somewhat less bitter. We were trying to figure out why and found a chef forum on my iPhone that said wet scallops are kept in a preservative that needs to be washed off with salt water and patted dry. Wouldn’t you think the chefs should know this? Now I will say I know I have a sensitive pallet but that is also why I love the flavors of exquisitely prepared food. I wasn’t expecting Victoria & Alberts here but at least an equivalent of the other Disney restaurants I mentioned. Again the staff did the right thing and offered to bring another entre but I just wanted out. They appropriately didn’t charge us for the scallops. I won’t risk trying this place again. Left with bitter tongues and bitter memories.

After looking at the menu and prices, I was expected more from this place. First, the food. It was good. Not great or memorable but good. I ordered the buffalo steak and we shared some appetizers. The steak was good — chewy and tasty. Appetizers were average or below average. Potatoes with duck fat were just potatoes. But it was the service that disappointed. The food took forever to make and I was starving by the time it arrived. The servers were never to be seen. No one checked back after we started eating if everything was ok. It was the kind of service you expect at $ 15/plate place, not $ 50. Lastly, it’s not a great place for bigger groups. High ceilings mean you won’t hear people sitting two chairs away from you. And it’s quite dark too.

Artist Point resides in the Wilderness Lodge. Just up a winding ramp, through the main hall, and down a side hallway… You know it’s a little ways in, but just follow the signs and you should be fine! The cuisine is Pacific Northwest, focusing on a balance of fish, and various meats, including buffalo. On the way to our table I even saw a scotch cart! Looking over the menu, we selected a cheese plate, smoked portobello bisque, and the slow braised pork shank with turnip mashed potatoes and kale. The cheese board arrived first on a repurposed wine stave. There were five selections represented, along with various accompaniments. It was nice to have a relatively guided tasting. I will not elaborate on the flavors, but suffice it to say the cheeses were high quality, flavorful and tasty. I would order it again. The pork shank arrived with quite a nice presentation, a little shaved raddish on top for color. I went to work with a fork and a knife, but the meat was so tender I was able to pull it off without needing the knife. It was literally fall of the bone. Tender, well seasoned, a scosh dry but nothing that interrupted my enjoyment. The turnip mashed potatoes combined everything I loved about mashed potatoes, but combined it with the sharp bite of the turnip. The kale was more in the form of a salted kale chip, it actually reminded me of bacon. At the end of our meal we were satisfied. Our waitress missed a few things. We never got our portobello bisque, but we weren’t charged for it either, which ended up being a good thing. Also, I asked for an utensil to try and get the marrow out of my bone shank, and waited about ten minutes for it. Overall Artist Point did not suck.

New Years Eve dinner set menu it was delicious. As a starter we shared the Artisanal Cheeses which had a list of each cheese selection each were different & Romaine Salad simple but crisp. Chinook Cedar Plank Salmon accompanied by Barley Risotto & Roasted Vegetables, there is nothing like a perfectly cooked salmon and the vegetables were flavorful & crunchy, I also had the suggested Pinot Noir which complimented the dish immensely. The desserts were rich and creamy savory all their own works of art we tried them all haha. Our waitress Laila was kind and quick to make suggestions & super attentive to whatever questions we asked. It was definitely a well spent meal. P.S this location excepted DVC member discount !

Very good food. We ordered the cheese plate, which was phenomenal and the smoked portobello bisque, which was very delicious although saltier and creamier than I would have liked. The Buffalo entrée was very well prepared and the phở was tasty as well. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed our meal very much. Just FYI that the phở is less broth than usual but has abundant seafood.

There’s so much that should be going for Artist Point, but compared to other«signature dining» restaurants at Walt Disney World, it falls short in being mediocre for high end the many pros that unfortunately get balanced out by many cons. The pros start with the location and view which despite being in a busy resort in Florida is situated in a such a way that you do feel like you’re in the wilderness. The server we ended up with(more on this later) was wonderful, very friendly and personable with good knowledge of the menu and good opinions. The food was very good from our starters of a tomato salad and greens salad to the Alaskan Halibut with Carrot-Ginger Risotto, Blue Crab, Bok Choy, Miso-Soy Glaze, Petit Shiso and Berkshire Pork Tenderloin with Goat Cheese Risotto, Baby Carrots, Favas, Heirloom Apples, Pomegranate Jus to the house made donuts and berry cobbler. While I continue to maintain that Disney chefs seem to have trouble cooking beef, pork and lamb to temperature and have lost their salt and pepper shakers, the pork was only slightly overcooked and the flavors were all on point(no pun intended). The wine list is extensive enough that we were able to find a half bottle that matched both of our entrees without breaking the bank. The cons started with our first table. We had an early reservation and the dining room was virtually empty, yet they at first attempted to seat us at a table with no view before putting us in a table that was wedged between the window and a large column which felt very confining next to a large table that was loud with lots of kids. Our server was odd and seemed more concerned with the large table next to us, so all those factors combined led me to asking to be reseated which was a good call as we ended up at a better table with a better server. It was a pleasant experience until about halfway through but that disappeared as the dining room filled up. Artist Point is supposed to be a «signature restaurants» with high prices to match. Dinner for two cost us $ 150 and if we were on the Disney Dining Plan it would have counted as two credits, but Disney is too permissive in enforcing their dress code or expecting customers to behave themselves. A family was seated next to us with a 4 – 5 year old child who ended up standing on the tabletop and when she wasn’t doing that, she was crawling on the floor tripping up servers. Their baby kept throwing stuff on the floor and the mother did nothing to keep things out of their reach. A young adult was seated wearing day glow orange camouflage t-shirt and shorts and there was an adult couple with no kids wearing baseball caps at the table. All of these are supposedly against the post dress code, but damned if Disney would enforce it. I get that people are«on vacation» but so am I and some of us enjoy a nice quiet meal as part of that experience. If you want loud or casual, there are plenty of other options and if Disney is going to charge premium prices, the atmosphere and expectation of its guests should match. It really is too bad as Artist Point should be nice and classy, but its clientele and inconsistent staff doesn’t match its potential.

Went here as our last dinner of our trip… it was amazing! My brother got the cedar plank salmon. The server brought it out on the plank and served it right onto his plate! I had the seared sea scallops and omg they just melted in your mouth. Perfectly cooked! The vegetables and couscous pasta was a perfect pairing. We heard so many good things about their berry cobbler dessert so we got that too and it didn’t disappoint! You must get the berry cobbler dessert as well! Nice atmosphere of the restaurant and peaceful theme. The resort is fun to look around after your meal. The lobby is huge! If you’re looking for a great meal and peaceful atmosphere Artist Point is perfect! Don’t forget the berry cobbler!

This is one of our favorite spots on Disney property and we tend to come here on special occasions. We ordered the halibut, bison steak, and filet minion. All were excellent and would definitely order everything again. The smoked mushroom soup is the best appetizer but the short rib was also very good. The doughnuts for dessert were a welcome surprise. Expensive for sure but a very good choice.

My favorite dining experience at Disney World. From the atmosphere(Wilderness Lodge is beautiful and so much fun checking it out before or after your meal!) to the staff to of course the food-nothing compares! The filet was one of the highest quality, most perfectly cooked steaks I have ever eaten. I would recommend this hands down. We had two servers who were both so sweet, asking us about our trip and genuinely seemed to love their job and chatting with the guests! I plan on returning every Disney trip! It uses two dining credits but is well worth it.

good restaurant. Good service. I questioned my 9yr olds steak. We ordered a medium filet mignon. It came out medium rare. The manager came by and said it was medium. See attached photo…

Lovely dining experience. The restaurant is located in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge… not to be confused with Fort Wilderness. The interior design and menu are inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Let me start by warning you that they serve the most scrumptious complimentary bread and butter service. The butter is flavored with smoked sea salt and it is inhalable. I had two appetizers, the mussels and the braised beef. Both were amazing. I had tried the mussels a while back. That time it was in a saffron broth, this time it was a green base, more cilantro and/or basil based. While I prefer the saffron, this was yummy as well. I finished off the remaining broth with that fabulous bread I mentioned earlier. I ordered the scallops for my entrée. And I gotta admit, I wasn’t a huge fan. The«pasta» my three scallops sat atop was akin to Israeli couscous(a larger pearl as compared to the finer Moroccan couscous). The tomato based sauce was overpowering. I enjoyed the al dente baby vegetables. The scallops were cooked well but not seasoned quite enough. Overall, not a dish I would order again. But still a fantastic dining experience. In fact, I wouldn’t mind returning for the appetizers and bread!

Excellent place to use Disney dining plan! We enjoy the buffalo steak entrée as well as the cedar plank salmon. The kids desert mickey artist puzzle is a lot of fun for the kids! Our waiter was very nice and told us a few stories which made the experience even better.

Artist Point is more on the casual side for a signature dining experience. The restaurant isn’t decorated with anything special but you don’t come here for atmosphere, you come here for the FOOD! It was delicious. I had the copper river salmon(only served 2 weeks a year) and my husband had the buffalo 3 ways. We had the crab cake as an appetizer as well. I cannot say what was my favorite. It was all flavored and cooked to perfection. Our waiter was very friendly and down to earth. If you are someone who loves fine dining food but doesn’t like the stuffy upscale vibe, then this is the spot for you… especially if you love fish and game!

A beautiful romantic setting accompanied with superb food blends together for a wonderful evening at Artist Point. This restaurant tucked in the back corner of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has a dress code and accepts reservations. Check in at the podium and after a brief wait you’re whisked away down a long walk way into the restaurant itself. In the evenings the place is dimly lit with candles ablaze on each table. They have a great wine menu and the staff is attentive and more than ready to provide recommendations and answer any questions you may have. My meal began with the Field Green Salad and it was incredible. Fresh, light, and wonderful. My main course was the Vegetarian Lo Mein. Again the vegetables were all fresh and flavorful and the tofu was both sweet and spicy, cooked to perfection.(on a side note my friend ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon and was not impressed, but he can write his own review on that). Yes, this dinner comes at a hefty price, but lets be honest, you knew that going in. I will say it was a wonderfully relaxing break from what the day prior held for us. So go ahead and book that reservation for when you need that relaxing evening away from the parks and you’ll be good to go.

One of my favorite Disney restaurants I’ve dined in– and I’ve dined in many! The food was good, but what I loved most was the ambiance and the amazing service. The restaurant is situated on an upper level of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort, a beautiful property on its own. The restaurant has tall ceilings, large windows looking out towards the pool area and Bay Lake beyond that, nice lighting and beautiful murals. There was a mix of adult parties and families. For a deluxe Disney restaurant, I felt the overall«feel» of the restaurant was a little more relaxed than some of the others I have visited, which personally I like. My table’s server was Izzy, and he was phenomenal! Great attitude, funny and above and beyond great service. He even gave everyone in our party, all adults, Mickey straws, which was a fun touch. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and was just the right level of attentive throughout our meal. In terms of the food, it was great. We were started off with some sourdough bread, which definitely fit the Pacific Northwest vibe of the restaurant. Artist Point also has a special water filtration system, so those of us that had water were served that free of charge. Since ice is not filtered in the same manner, the water was served chilled, but not with ice. For an appetizer, I had the crab cake which was my favorite part of the meal. High on crab and beautifully presented. I had the vegetarian entrée, which was a lo mein with tofu. It was good, but a little salty for my personal taste, I believe from the broth. My entire party was too full for dessert, but Izzy let us celebrate our«un-birthdays» and brought us the berry cobbler to share! It was delicious, with just the right amount of tart and sweetness! Overall, a fantastic meal and a restaurant I would love to visit again.

Artist Point is the upscale restaurant in the Wilderness Lodge. We booked our reservations in advance online but they seemed to be able to accommodate walk ins. The venue is very nice, keeping with the Pacific Northwest theme of the Wilderness Lodge. The menu also reflects this theme and I was impressed to see Bison and Wild caught King salmon on the menu. The cedar plank King salmon is a specialty here and it was indeed very good. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was pretty tasty. I had the bison filet and sausage which was also good although I loved the mac and cheese it came with better. Although it’s a fancy place, it is very kid friendly(of course) and the service was impeccable. As with all Disney venues you can expect to pay premium prices over what you would normally pay outside the kingdom of the Mouse. Entrees were quite expensive here ranging from the $ 30s to $ 50. Kid’s entrees aren’t too bad, around $ 10. This place definitely had the best food we had while at Disney and it is definitely a nice place to have a good dinner after a long day exploring the parks. Just be prepared for the big wallet shock after.
