I have been to Q twice. It is absolutley one of the best places to eat on the South Side of Chicago. I believe I loved every single bite I had there! If you are on the fence about checking it out, do yourself a favor and just go. Yum Yum Yum!

Q is a diamond in the suburban rough. You would never guess that tucked away in an unassuming plain brick building in a Berkots shopping area, you’d find one of the most unique and delightful food experiences in Chicago. The food is French Vietnamese though I’d categorize it heavier on the rich French side leveraging all the delightful unique Asian flavors of Thai basil, lemon grass, curry, etc. My absolute favorite dish and a must is the crab leg appetizer. They also serve very delicious and unique martinis such as green tea, pumpkin, passion fruit, etc. The chef and owner, Whey, is absolutely delightful with a clear devotion and love for her craft. She will be happy to make whatever you like, just ask. Her husband runs the bar and serves. It’s a family run, warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for excellent food and a fun night out whether with friends, family or a date night, this place can’t be beat.

What a unique dining experience for lunch or dinner. Asian flair, Vietnamese, taiwanese, French. Incredible flavors if you’re out in this direction I would highly recommend this place. Great cocktails also

This place is great! What a hidden gem. Don’t judge this place by location or the outside décor. Located in the middle of a parking lot in a strip mall typically isn’t the place to go on a date night. It isn’t much to look at from the outside but the inside is a total different experience. I wanted to try everything on the menu, all the items had something different about them that made you wanted to try them all. The staff was very friendly, the waitress, who I believe was the wife of the chef and the owner I believe, was great with her suggestions and her stories behind some of the dishes. We tried the banana salmon, which I thought would be salmon baked in a leaf but I was mistaken. Instead, I had this beautifully cooked piece of pan fired salmon in this delicious banana curry. I never heard of banana in curry before but it added this sweet element that was just amazing. We also tired the Thai fried rice, the Vietnamese salad, and the bread pudding dessert… I am not giving these other dished the much deserved respect that they deserve, for no other reason then lack of time. I can certainly go on and on about how delicious those other items were as well. This place does claim to be a martini bar as well although we didn’t try any, just wine on this trip. My next review will have martinis, I promise. Can’t wait to go back.

The service was very good, the food was delicious and looked great. As it says it is Asian fusion. It is all classic French of Asian dishes with a twist. This is probably the best restaurant in Orland Park.

Great service and assortment of Asian cuisine. We came for lunch but also ate from dinner menu. Loved the baby back ribs, wonton and Tom yum soups, sea bass with pineapple curry. Banana bread pudding was a great surprise too. I’ll be back!

This place was amazing. Atmosphere was perfect. Food was some of the best I’ve had. Chicken Katsu and Curry Chicken were both cooked perfectly. The hostess, who was also playing double duty as our waitress(and was also one of the owners) was amazingly helpful and friendly. Please if you are near here you must stop in. You won’t regret it. An incredible value hidden in the burbs.

This restaurant was a great experience. The food was so fresh and delicious. I recommend the phở soup. It’s the best. The appetizers are jewels too.

What an utterly disgusting disappointment of a dining experience! The minute we walked in, it gave off bad vibes and was pretty downhill afterwards. The place oddly does not feel welcoming. Had the«Qlamari» and avocado egg rolls, which were fried and really greasy. The only redeeming thing was the spicy sauce that came with the appetizers. Decided to go with the sea bass and my aunt went with the red snapper. The fish actually tasted rubbery, and the red snapper was way too fishy. After taking a few bites we informed our waiter that we didn’t really like the dish. He was very aloof and didn’t care the least in our concern. We were so disappointed with the dining experience and after we requested the check, we asked to speak with the Manager. the waiter came back with the bill, which we paid for despite our dissatisfaction with the meal. He then came back 10 minutes later and asked how he could help us. I asked again to speak to the Manager, and he proceeded to inform me that he himself was the manager! I knew he was lying, but out of respect I went on to inform him again about our dissatisfaction with the meal, and his pure lack of concern regarding patrons’ complaints. He then went on to state that we already«messed up the meal» and there was nothing he could do! I felt incredibly insulted. I mean i’ve been to a few places where I expressed my concern about the meal, and usually the staff were gracious enough to offer to at least remove the item from the bill or offer complimentary dessert, or whatever. This man not only insulted our intelligence by blatantly lying about being the manager, but also didn’t care the least to rectify our disappointment with the meal. I informed him that I was not happy with the experience, and that I would write a review on Unilocal, yet he didn’t even care. If I could give this place negative or zero stars I would! Jeez, I can’t even understand how these people are in business. The prices are high, and the service is disgusting. NEVERAGAIN!!!

My wonderful partner surprised me by taking me back to Q for dinner a few days ago. We were joined by another couple. The four of us had a lovely meal and experience, start to finish. The food is outstanding… Surely some of the best in the SW suburbs. If you’d like a more professional review– please google to read Phil Vettel’s recommendation for this little gem. If you haven’t been here yet– Please visit!!! I would hate to see this restaurant leave town!!! Highly recommend the mayonnaise rolls, the salmon curry and we had some special sausage dish that was so good!!! Deserts were outstanding as well! Love love love this place!!!

My wife and I tried Q this week. It’s really hard to find good quality restaurants in the south suburbs. Q was pretty darn good. I would recommend the: — lemon chicken — French Beef Steak. Skip the — Pad Thai — Curry Chicken — Peach Crème Brulee.

When we tried Q Restaurant last night on the rave recommendation of a friend, the first thing our server said to us was, «This must be your first time here because I don’t recognize you.» That’s a sign that this Vietnamese-French fusion restaurant that opened in July already has some regular customers, which is good because I really want this place to succeed! The cuisine is as excellent as anything you would expect to find in a high-end restaurant in the city, and it’s always nice to see something different like this in the southern suburbs. The chef, Quee(hence the name of the restaurant, although it’s pronounced more like«Kay»), is all of 26 years old and was trained at Le Cordon Bleu, while her sister Quan(aka Ellie) and her brother-in-law run the dining room and the bar, which carries a good, decently-priced wine selection and some interesting martinis. The menu is mostly Vietnamese with a few Thai and French dishes, also.(The French influence, of course, comes from that period in history when colonization used to be all the rage.) After the hubby and I split an appetizer of Mayonnaise Seafood Rolls coated with crispy panko breadcrumbs, I had the Seafood Lover entrée — a mixture of crunchy vegetables and fresh seafood such as scallops, shrimp, crab meat and calamari in a spicy brandy red curry sauce, surrounded by a corona of crispy noodles and garnished with a flower. My husband went with the French Beefsteak, which was actually a high-end version of steak and eggs that turned out to be a family recipe from the sisters’ grandfather — a juicy filet mignon and two sunny-side up eggs swimming in a sea of brandy-accented jus.(Ellie said her grandfather used to slurp up the excess juice right from the dish, but since we’re not used to doing that in a restaurant, she kindly put it in a container for us to take home.) Dessert was a luscious banana bread pudding with white chocolate and raspberry coulis for me, and tiramisu topped with an interesting green tea-flavored mascarpone for the hubby. Like many suburban restaurants, Q Restaurant is located in a strip mall, in this case behind a Starbucks on 159th Street, just west of the intersection of 159th and Wolf Road. The décor is understated yet elegant, with contemporary furnishings and Asian touches in the decoration. Our total tab for the night, including the gratuity and a bottle of 2010 Terrazas Altos del Plata Malbec wine, was $ 166, which is a bit pricey by suburban standards but hey — you get what you pay for. If you want cheap food, there’s millions of other places to go. I thought it was worth it for the first-rate cuisine and service. We’ll be back!

Visiting this restaurant was a family project. My oldest daughter found it on Unilocal and my youngest went with me! We loved it! The restaurant is very chic and classy but understated. The furniture is modern but comfortable and the tables are nicely spaced, you have room and privacy. My daughter had a hearty soup and I had a delicious chicken dish with rice. I loved every single grain of food on my plate! My daughter adored her soup as well which surprised me, she tends to be very picky. This classy restaurant is behind the Starbucks in an Orland Park strip mall, not where you would expect to find exquisite Asian fusion food. I hope everyone goes there so it stays in business. Looking for an upscale Asian experience with impeccable service and gracious surroundings? Then get in your car and come here NOW!
