Had dinner, as my husband and I were looking for a place for a future banquet event. Our server was wonderful. The food was outstanding. Denise the manager, even had a special pasta dish made for us, that wasn’t on the menu(put it on the menu — it was delicious)! Dessert was great! Can’t say enough about the food and service. Can’t wait to go again.

Great authentic Italian food. Great service. Tremendous value. I love coming here with my family. Denise the manager made sure we were all taken care of. My family comes here all the time. No need to come to TAYLOR street. Here is better.

Enjoyed the Eggplant Parmigiana tonight along with the Tiramisu. Denise came and made sure everything was good and our server Jeremy was very attentive.

My sister arranged for me to have my «bachelorette» dinner here. Service was exceptional. Our server, Sam was the most delightful young lady who was ready with recommendations when asked. The manager even came over, I think her name was Nicole, to make sure we enjoyed our meal. And the food was very well prepared also, not a single complaint at our table.

After some location confusion with our large party we ended up at this location without a reservation and we still got a large table quickly. I loved the large lazy susan on our table. The break basket and water pitcher were both on it so we could rotate when you need something. Most of our party ordered since half of us was at the location with the reservation, but our food came really quickly so we most still ate together. This was my first time, but my friend said her family loved the food. I am sad they no longer do half orders. I had THE largest portion of Fettuccine Alfredo ever! And it was really good. There was no way I could even eat half or it. For $ 10 it was a bargain. But I would have loved a salad and a half order so no food went to waste. Being 4 hours from home I wasn’t taking it back with me. If Gatto’s was closer to Indy I would definitely go there more often when hungry for some pasta!

I have eaten here a few times and I can say that overall they serve Italian food that is mediocre at best. I was there last Friday night, my wife loves the lemon perch. I ordered Carbonara. When it came, it was shells with ham and peas with a very tasteless sauce. Service is good and drinks are good, but you would expect more from an establishment that bills itself as an old neighborhood joint with the menu on a blackboard on the wall! I don’t think I will be going back until I hear they are more creative. In the past I have also had disappointing meals with burnt sausage. There are better Italian restaurants on the south side of town, although not many.

My first time here and I am completely satisfied and impressed with the food and great service. I will definitely come back. I recommend comming here for any occasion. A date, a family dinner, etc. The service was phenominal. Our waitress asked us how everything was at least 5 times, and the manager personally brought us our appetizers and also came by when we were eating and asked how everything was. They also have some good craft beer on tap as well as some nice wine offerings. Come here to eat! You wont be disappointed.

Had the vodka rigatoni and it was dry, was not very saucy — I could’ve opened up a can of ragu and made this at home. the chicken Vesuvio could have had more garlic and roasted texture flavor … The food was mediocre I traveled from Chicago to try this and would not go out of my way again.

We came in with a large group that included grandparents and siblings for my brother and his girlfriend’s after-graduation dinner The place is pretty neat on the inside, but everything from the food to the drinks to the menu itself is simplistic, and not necessarily in a good way. We started with fried calamari and zucchini which were surprisingly good, the zucchini tasted fresh/not frozen. We liked the warm bread but needed to ask for cheese to use with the oil. Our group ordered some wine, I had a moscato which wasn’t bad, but not worth the $ 8/glass price. Most of us split some dinners and everyone had a varying opinion of the food. My grandma said it was good, but my mom claims she makes better. My brother said his rigatoni vodka was meh, and after tasting it I deduced that it wasn’t even an actual vodka sauce, but more like an adulterated marinara. They were also out of meat sauce, so that made a few entrée choices disappointingly off-limits. The 2 pastas I tasted seemed a little mushy, perhaps overcooked? I personally opted for a chicken salad, which judging by everyone else’s mixed emotions, may have been the right choice. This was loaded with chicken, bacon, blue cheese, avocado, onion, olive, and was actually really tasty, also not bad for $ 7, my grandmother also liked her tomato, onion, and blue cheese salad. The servers were nice, they did accommodate our large group less than an hour before closing time. Overall, it’s a very basic place, would maybe be good for a kid’s birthday party or large event where food quality wasn’t necessarily important. The hot food was very disappointing, the salads weren’t bad, laminated menus tacky, décor was pleasant. Definitely MUCH better options in the area for this cuisine at a comparable cost.

They had half of the restaurant empty. With empty tables throughout. I came in with 15 people. They wouldn’t be accommodating. Won’t be going back there again.

Food was good but I could not believe the music that was playing. I did not expect to walk into a dance club when I went to dine at a family owned italian restaurant.

It was my first time dining at the new Gatto’s on 143st in Orland park. We went there to celebrate a birthday party. When we arrive the hostess told me that I did not have a reservation for that night which was february 7th. I told her there must of been some misunderstanding because I have a confirmation. After realizing I made the reservation at the tinley park location by mistake. I started to panic and then the manager Denise came to my rescue. They were so busy and she went above and beyond her duty to accommodate me and 19 other people. Needless to say we had a fabulous a birthday dinner and I definitely will recommend and be coming back for everyone of my birthday celebrations thank you Denise & Gatto’s staff you all ROCKEDIT!!!

Saturday feb 7th I was at gattos with family for my husbands 50th birthday celebration. He received 2 cards for his bday which he left there. I called an hour later to see if they were there. The manager Denise was nothing but rude and inconsiderate of my concern for lost cards. She said they were prob thrown out. She kept telling me to call back and that her employees would look through garbage can. The 2 times I called back she was rude and ignorant to me. I called the next day and she answered the phone. Said they were found and said something to the sort of being found in garbage can and when I said I’m sorry what did you say? She ignored me and ended up hanging up on me. It’s sad that this is who they have managing their store because the food and waitress that night was great. We eat at this establishment quite a bit but was very disappointed the way I was treated.

Co-Hosted a Baby Shower at Gatto’s in Orland on 12−13−14 and the food was delicious! The staff was outstanding! The décor and set-up was on target and just beautiful! The service was amazing! The price is reasonable! The whole day was made extra special by having the event here! Thank you and I highly recommend Gatto’s Orland Park for any event. They make the effort and it shows!

Been going to the other location on 183rd street a few times with excellent experiences. Decided to actually try carryout but from this location-mistake! Not sure if it was the carryout choice of the location choice. –My wife ordered by phone from her list and I picked up on the way home from work. –Her original order was to get Clams(no clams during the week), so on to meatloaf. –My son’s original order was to get Calamari with wine/vinegar/lemon/garlic as was done with the original recipe. Tinley location will do this, but they wouldn’t, so on to lemon perch for him. –I got there about 7:45 and had to wait at the podium for about 5 minutes before a very friendly gentlemen asked me what I needed. Only about 4 tables in the place had customers, not busy at all. Led back to the bar to pick up my food and the bartender said there is a problem. Out of the meatloaf my wifer ordered. They couldn’t say this upon ordering or check first or call back? After a phone call between the manager and my wife, she decided to not order another choice. The manager gave my 2 entres for free and apologized. –I get home and my son’s meal was good. Mine however was the wrong order. Looked and tasted like rosemary chicken. No boneless white meat, no peas, no lemon flavor. Nice job guys! I’ll continue to drive to the Tinley location. Was really hoping this location could do well so I have options close to home.

I’ve been to the Gattos in Tinley and had a fairly good experience when there so I was glad to see another decent Italian rest coming to town. The food was good traditional Italian fare. Prices are very reasonable! The atmosphere was the weakest link, especially in the bar area. This was the only thing keeping it from 4 stars. The service was pretty good and the food came out very quickly. This is the place to bring the kids or whole family for an Italian dinner.
