This was the first time my husband and I went here to eat and it was great!!! My husband had the corned beef sandwich in which I had to try and it was mouth watering, and very tender! I had the fried chicken in which that too was great! Very friendly atmosphere! Will definitely go back! Oh, don’t forget to try the mac n cheese!!! Yummo!!!

Loved the cabbage, boneless rib tips, marconi & cheese, and of course the corn beef sandwich! Can’t go wrong with anything from here. Also big portions and nice dine in experience! This place you should definitely try some time…

Classic Soul Food at DA’s. I recommend the Turkey Wings, Smothered Pork Chops, Red Beans, Greens, Mac and Cheese for sure! Just an all around great taste. Live smooth music to top it all off. Come check it out. Nice décor and set-up as well.

Let me fill you in on this place. The inside is spacious(used to be an Asian buffet in a former life) and is perfect for hosting banquets or coming in for lunch/dinner. The bathrooms are clean, and most of all, the servers behind the cafeteria-like setup are inviting and friendly. They will give you a sample of their corned beef if you ask about it! Ok, so that’s the start. Their lunches start at $ 6.99, 1 meat and 2 sides. A plethora of sides await: Mac n cheese, okra, cabbage, greens, yams… yeah, you get the picture. Comes with a dinner roll or cornbread. Desserts are a little over $ 3(heard they make great cobbler) and a can of pop is 0.99. The fountain drinks w/free refills are $ 1.99. Overall, for the atmosphere, friendly service, and great food, stop by and discover your own favorite combination!

We were out and about yesterday and after reading an article in the paper about the new Deli we decided since we were in the area, we would stop by for our first visit. Our theory is that we give it a thumbs up or thumbs down when visiting a new restaurant. This is a big thumbs down. The place itself is nice inside, there is a big party room. As we entered the dining area, we seen perhaps two people eating, all about 80 years of age. We were surprised to see the hot table but we moved on to read the menu. The prices were out of sight, too expensive for food that comes from a hot table. We figured we would spend a good forty bucks just for a dinner of fried fish and a corned beef sandwich. The final straw was an ice cream scoop that was sitting on the hot table laden in mac and cheese. NO thanks stomach upset for sure. Won’t be back that is a fact. As we were leaving, the lady who was serving from the hot table asked us if we would like to take a menu, we politely said NO thank you.

I worked at this restaurant and I know from experience and for my own experience that I would NEVER eat there. The food is not great, only the fish is good. The owner is completely rude, he yells at everyone and sits down all day eating with his friends. They lie about the freshness of the food. They will exaggerate when it came out. And if you’re looking to work here, DON’T! They fired dozens of employees before they even made 3 months, AND dozens have quit because the ride owner and they’ll have you doing all the different job functions alone and yell at you for not moving faster because they are understaffed! Orland location sucks. If you’re not family you’re getting fired sooner or later. Don’t eat or work here, trust me!

My wife and I came in on a Saturday afternoon. We were greeted by a friendly staff. The staff were very helpful answering questions about the food. It’s cafeteria style reminiscent of Manny’s Deli in Chicago. My wife got the short ribs, the greens and Mac and cheese as the sides. I got the corned beef sandwich adding two sides the mashed potatoes and cabbage. Overall the food was great and different from what you can get in Orland park. The corned beef was excellent and is alone worth the trip. If you love corned beef like I do you know how difficult it is to find good corned beef. The sides were also excellent. The greens were nearly as good as what you would find down south and the Mac and cheese was excellent. The short ribs were good but not excellent. The food was fresh and hot. The place was very clean. My wife and I will always pay for good food but I was a bit surprised by the 40 dollar tab. I only got the half pound corned beef but I did add two sides which added to the cost. We will definitely be back. Came back a second time. Food was even better than first time. Great addition to Orland/Tinley

I went in there with a friend for dinner. Both of us ordered the«Famous One-Pounder» corned beef sandwich. I also ordered two sides and a drink. It cost $ 12.99 for the sandwich and the sides and drink brought the total up to $ 23.99. I don’t mind paying for a good meal but the quality was terrible. The sweet potatoes tasted like they came from a can and were overly sweet. The portion size was terribly small. The macaroni and cheese was ok but it wasn’t really great considering the portion size was also extremely small. The sandwich was mediocre at best. They did put a large amount of corned beef but the bread was soggy and seemed like it was the bread I could get from the aisle at the grocery store. They garnish the sandwich with yellow mustard, a pickle spear, and 3 small sport peppers. It also came with a bag, yes a bag, of Frito-Lay potato chips. I am sorry but I can make a better sandwich at home for what I paid for it. It is not wroth it since it seemed like everything was canned and none of it was fresh. The atmosphere was blah, as it was formerly a Chinese buffet in that location. They didn’t do anything to spruce it up and it looked dingy and cheap. The silverware was not very clean at all and it had spots and stains on it. I really recommend going somewhere else. If you want soul food or deli food there are better choices.

A little bit pricy but the food was excellent-black eyes peas and collards, which I don’t get to have too often were just like my gramma used to make! $ 3.49 for a small side is a little high. The staff is extremely friendly, place is clean. We’ll definitely go back!

I have eaten many times at D. A.‘s Deli & Dining in Country Club Hills and am never disappointed so when I found out that another D. A.‘s Deli & Dining was opening at 7260 W 159th St in Orlando Park IL that was great news. The corned beef and cabbage is the best I have ever had anywhere and the generous portions allow me to carry it out and enjoy it again the next day. Their smothered pork chops and smothered chicken recipe is always excellent. Barbecue pork and beef and 4 kinds of seafood and shrimp makes it so easy to stay a frequent visitor and not get bored. The sides have the best choice of potatoes, veggies, greens, sweet potatoes that I crave all the time. Shall I get started about so many desserts! I love this restaurant ! The staff really cares and I have observed that customers are treated like family here and they come back every week. They have a huge banquet room featuring karaōke every Friday evening and on Sundays they feature a complementary guitar virtuoso playing 5−7PM ! Thanks to D A’s for great food, music, and hospitality.

A great new addition to the Tinley Park restaurant seen. Good stick to the ribs down home style cooking. Cafeteria style excellent service from a very friendly and helpful staff. Generous portions will definitely fill you up. I really enjoyed the short ribs and smothered pork chops. Returned the next day to try the corned beef sandwich made with a pound of lean corned beef on rye bread. Best I’ve had in the Tinley /Orland area. Great place for a quick quality meal.

The food is great and they have a much larger selection than I thought they would. Since I a originally from the south I was at home with the southern food. Get the corned beef but be ready for more food than you can eat, so share it or take some home. We will be back as I want the collards next time.

I just spent $ 38 for a short rib dinner and a corned beef and cabbage dinner, one iced tea and a water. Everything was boring and worth half what I paid. The mac and cheese was good, the greens were good, everything else was meh. Ribs were crazy fatty. Small portion size + large check = me never coming back.

Once you walk into this mysterious new Deli. Deli is the last thing that comes to mind. This is a downright soul food restaurant if I’ve ever seen! The staff was friendly and accommodating!!! Not to mention the macaroni and cheese was the best I’ve had in a long time!!! 5STARS!!!
