Very decent food with a nice ambiance and excellent service. Shared a breakfast pizza and fried artichokes(hearts) out on the patio. It’s only four, but the they are good sized and perfectly cooked. Drizzled with balsamic and aioli. The pizza was about a twelve incher, nice chewy crust, tasty sauce with supposedly carmelized onions and bacon. The onions were more like lightly sautéed and big giant slices. Had to pull most of them off because they weren’t cooked enough. The bacon was more like bits of pancetta which was good. Diverse menu and some fun looking cocktails. We’ll be back.

Mahi Mahi tacos were spectacular! Especially loved the hot sauce that accompanied them. Wish the craft beer selection on tap had been a bit more extensive though. Still the food is worth your time!

This place is great. Tucked away in a quaint little corner in the theater of Orinda. Really a gem. My bartender, Blake, made this fun experience even more special. He made sure the cocktails were delicious and added that special element of charm that is hard to come by.

The service, food and atmosphere are excellent. But what makes this place so great are the terrific people that help you. Congratulations to the leadership for hiring such a fantastic team.

Stopped by for a drink the other night and then got the munchies and ordered a few snacks. A*MA*zing mac and cheese, tried to eat it all myself but my friend insisted on sharing :) Brussell Sprouts were tasty, just a little on the firm side. Our waitress Kaitlin was super friendly and efficient and helped us make our selections.

My sister is visiting Sunday morning. So, I figured let’s go for brunch. So, we walked around the area and saw Shelby and Table 24. Reading the menu in front of Shelby, a guy came out and said, «Just so you know, we are open.» We said, «ok, thank you» and he went back inside. Then, went to read the menu at Table 24, a guy came out, greeted us, and asked if we wanted to see the brunch menu. So, we got the small menu and decided to try it. After going inside, we were also greeted by the friendly waitress who is also super friendly the entire time we were there. Now, the food. We ordered Monte Cristo and Eggs Benedict. The Monte Cristo is French toast sandwich with Swiss cheese, ham, and over-easy eggs in between. The French toast is really good. Fluffy and moist. Eating them all together gives sweet and salty taste. So delicious. The eggs benedict is a simple poached egg with a sliced of tomato and English muffin on the bottom and avocado on the top. The hollandaise sauce is served on the side and it’s not our favorite because the texture is too soft-buttery. It’s not the usual liquid version. Also, the sauce wasn’t tasty. Taste more like garlic butter to us. Oh, potatoes are also served on the side, which have a lot more flavor than the sauce! The restroom is outside of the restaurant, BTW. If you ever need to go when you are here. Overall, it’s a great place with awesome customer service. Monte Cristo is really good, but Eggs Benedict sauce is lacking flavor. It’s a good simple brunch place!

I am going to paint a story for the readers! It is 8:30pm on Saint Patty’s day. Me and a group of my friends showed up to Table 24 greeted and was immediately greeted in the front of the restaurant by the manager, Habab. I asked if they had green beer and he responded we don’t. I told him it was our tradition for a round of green beers jokingly! He looked at and me and said«go inside find a table and I will be right back!» He ran off and about 5 min later comes back into the restaurant. He asked what type off beer we wanted. He came back with our green beers along with dye covered hands !! He laughed and said«I hope I kept your tradition this year!» I told him he went above and beyond for what he had done for us! I want everybody to come and give a little time to appreciate the wonderful staff that Table 24 has!

The best burgers ever! I asked for rare and it was perfect, seared on the outside red on the inside. The waitress, Caitlin, was busy with several tables but treated us like we were the only ones. Awesome job! We’ll be back for sure!

Sadly, I’ll be checking Table 24 off my list of «go to» places. This place had a great start several years ago, but a lack of management and a lackluster menu slides it to my B list. Last night we dropped in here from the pouring rain. Hoping for a warm dinner and nice service. What we got was more the feeling of being unwanted guests. We were one of 3 tables. I asked 2x for water, and the waitress brought 1 glass for the 2 of us. I drank it, and got no refill. This would have been OK if we weren’t sitting in the middle of all the wait staff hoarding around. Our waitress was dropping F bombs and telling stories. Others yelling about their shifts from the back, all employees sitting at the bar except for 1 at the table next to us wrapping silverware. This was at 8:00pm and you’d think it was midnight. Clearly they have a lack of onsite management. If I want this atmosphere, I’ll head to red robin and pay less. Otherwise I’ll head to metro or Cooperage and be treated well while enjoying my meal. Sorry guys — $ 15 salads require trained staff.

My friends and I were heading to a restaurant called shelbys, when arrived it was empty and across the way was this place table 24. The fire pits and great music over the speakers lead us in. It was fairly busy but we got seated right away, we started with the burrata and artichoke appetizer. So fresh and delightful, we split a couple pizzas and I got the bacon wrapped meatloaf, it was cooked just like my grandmother use to make it, the cocktails everyone order were made just like we would make them at home. Service was quick and the food was amazing. I will definitely be back to this restaurant in the future! Sorry shelbys, you lost us with the weird cheap paintings on the wall and no customers at 7pm on a Wednesday.

Note: When a patron advises you that their meal is inedible, you don’t just offer a re-fire, you comp. at least a portion of the dish or tab. That’s common service practice at essentially every restaurant on this side of Chili’s and Applebees(and really, they’ll do it too, sometimes.) I’m confused by this place. A $ 100 tab including gratuity for 2 drinks, an app, and 2 entrees with no dessert but also Trivial Pursuit cards(which had seen better days) and really glaring, bright, hospital-esque lighting. I’m not a fan and won’t be back. Especially after the rubbery cod.

Sadly, I have to take away a star, and should probably take two away. We have been coming here for about 3 years and they have just changed chefs… again. I should have appreciated the first one, which was the best, with sliders and good mac and cheese. Then, the owner changed chefs and it was ok – they had lobster rolls which were very good, although I missed the mac and cheese with the candied spicy bacon and the sliders. Servers were always nice. Just went back and found an entirely new menu and new staff. Heard that the owner, who also owns Barbacoa, changed Barbacoa into another restaurant, «Fourth Bore», which is now very crowded. His little Table 24 down the pathway in the same Orinda Theater Square plaza has suffered, however. New menu does not include any casual items, just dinner house fare, which is weird because the place has a VERY casual feel. It is priced like a white tablecloth restaurant, except without the nice service, silverware, tablecloth, ambiance, bread before dinner, etc. Instead, it has distressed bare wood tables, crayons and trivia cards, with TVs on the wall. It is basically a bar that you can bring kids to. Anyway, we ordered a wide variety from the menu as a tasting menu and were overwhelmingly unimpressed and felt ripped off when the check came. Calamari was tasty, but underfried, with a pasty pale soft shell covering mini rings of calamari(no tentacles, my favorite). The aioli it was served with was good however. The serving was on the small side for the price. The seafood pasta was the best thing we ordered. The pasta was fresh and the shrimp were spicy and good. The sauce had a nice lemony zing that was delicious, although didn’t really go with the Old Bay spiced shrimps. I mean, I like both those flavors, they just don’t really go together. Also tried the lobster ravioli that was kind of terrible. The lobster was bright pink, so no tail or claw meat there, and there was quite a bit of cartilage in there. I could not quite figure out what part of the lobster this pink stuff came from — it was not tasty. The pasta was underdone and the edges were hard. Then I ordered a ribeye, mainly because I had wanted to go to Casa Orinda and I do love their rib eye. Well this one was TERRIBLE! First, it was paper thin and unrecognizable as a rib eye dinner steak. Seriously, it was less than half an inch thick. There is a breakfast place I like in Concord that does a ribeye breakfast for about $ 12.00. This rib eye was like that — a breakfast cut. Secondly, it was poorly cooked. I ordered a medium rare. I got a blackened well done piece of meat. I can not believe they charged me $ 27 for this slice of meat and called it a dinner steak. Any way, with one glass of wine, our dinner was about $ 130 with tip. For the record, it is standard that food costs should be at least 30% of your meal price. From what I saw, every corner had been cut. Food cost was about 10% and there was no salad or bread with meals. Wait staff was inexperienced. I won’t be back. I am going back to the Casa, thanks, where I can get a HUGE steak, for about $ 5 more and and have bread and an experienced wait staff take good care of me — and a big dish of perfectly fried crispy calamari.

I have been here a handful of times and the experience has not been the same across the board on every visit. Table 24 is a short drive away from where my parents live in Moraga so sometimes when I come up and visit on the weekends its a spot like Table 24 we like to go to. T24 I would think main«competition» is actually over in Lafayette with competitors like Chows or The Cooperage(which people tend to like a lot). When comparing T24 to a restaurant like Chows, I choose Chows ¾ times because of the consistency. I’ve been go T24 roughly 5 or 6 times now and Chows about 3 or 4 times that, T24 both service wise and food wise hasn’t always been the most constant. That’s not to say I haven’t come in when the food was outa the park like with the fish tacos or signature burger. However what takes away from it being 4 stars or nearly perfect is the fact that I’ve come in and the staff wasn’t accommodating, didn’t check with us for entirely too long including times that we’ve sat at the bar! That’s just craziness not to be tentative at the bar… Anyways, I still definitely come here I just tend to feel out other choices before. For instance recently instead of coming to Chows we tried the new restaurant in Orinda… But that is a wholeeee nutha review

Happy hour margarita pizza for $ 5…I am in! they totally won me with that. Besides, the size of the pizza was the normal(mostly big), not the tiny portion I was expecting for that price. Plus I checked in using Unilocal mobile and I got a free soup of the day, which was a wonderful treat. I loved visiting charming Orinda and eating at Table 24 was a good way to close the afternoon among friends. My friends had combo plates and we all shared and the fries were particularly good.

A friend and I saw the big sandwich board that said«Happy Hour» so we grabbed a seat… only to be told Happy Hour ended 15 minutes prior. Why is the big sign still out? While we were irritated because of this, we were also tired and hungry after a day’s work, so we rolled our eyes at each other and ordered a drink and food anyway. I specified blue cheese with my wings and got ranch. Had to wait until the food runner came back to get what I ordered… the waiter was nowhere to be seen. When the bill came, our soup was $ 3 higher than on the menu. When we asked about it we were told our waiter«forgot» to tell us the seafood chowder was higher priced than regular soup($ 9.50 for a bowl of soup? It wasn’t THAT good). Yeah, they adjusted it on the bill, but by this time I’m tired of the negativity here. Food = average. Waiter = unseen for 90% of our meal. Finally, I took half my wings to-go and asked the waiter for a little blue cheese to take with them. Later at home, looking forward to my leftovers, I got ranch dressing AGAIN. What waiter doesn’t know ranch from blue cheese? Overpriced and inexperienced pretty much sums this up. Note to all restaurateurs… BETHENORDSTROMOFTHEFOODWORLD! Nothing to write home about here. Pretty typical Burger and Za restaurant. Prices are normal for this part of California. Our waitress was very nice and I appreciated how quickly she came around to refill drinks.

Alan and I have been to Table 24 several times since my initial review. The most recent time was yesterday for lunch. After reading friends’ accounts of the Elite Event here we were eager to try their lobster rolls, a Thursday special. We were unsure whether they were offered at dinner only or at lunch as well. Alan called and learned that they were a lunch special for yesterday, so after my exercise class we headed over. We were greeted as we entered and told to take any table. We were given menus and ordered iced tea to drink. Our server, Derek, was observant, attentive and thorough. He noticed that we had used the last two packets of Splenda in the container and brought us more. He described the specials of the day, including the prices, which we appreciated, and specified that the lobster rolls contained 6 oz of lobster meat. The lobster rolls weren’t cheap, but we didn’t expect they would be, particularly w/that much lobster. They were $ 26.95 and came w/a small ramekin of coleslaw as well as a side of fries. We appreciated their flexibility in substituting sweet potato fries for Alan and green salad for me for the fries. When the rolls arrived we were stunned by their size, the lobster overwhelming the roll. They were as generous as the ones at Red’s Eats in Wiscasset, Maine, our gold standard for lobster rolls. If you look through my profile photos you can find the one Alan took of that lobster roll. We didn’t photograph the one yesterday, although it was certainly worthy. It was tasty as well, though the claw meat wasn’t quite as sweet as I’ve had in Maine. But we can’t go to Maine when we’re jonesing for a lobster roll and we most certainly can go to Table 24 on a Thursday. Our beloved Yankee Pier in Larkspur has closed and we’re not fond of the one in Lafayette, so this is where we’ll come. Derek introduced us to John, the lobster roll guy, who’s originally from New England and knows his way around a lobster roll. We are so glad he brought his expertise here to California.

Ate here a few nights ago— They use their own fresh-squeezed oj at the bar for making drinks! We had these yummmmm lobster sliders with fresh, sweet meat. Perfect smashed between Hawaiian bread. Ribs were also flavorful but could have been a wee more cooked and tender. Roasted brussel sprouts were sadly overcooked and dry,& the Mac n cheese was just inconsistent . Cozy small bistro-like environment and super friendly wait staff! Parking is validated at a machine if park in the theater garage. Just off the freeway!

Went here for a Unilocal event the restaurant sponsored. We were served a variety of their dishes: Mac and cheese, chicken wings, Brussels sprouts with bacon, and a variety of sliders. The pulled pork slider had just enough BBQ sauce and came in a moist Hawaiian style bread bun. The burger slider was also good, with meat cooked perfectly to please a large crowd(not too rare, not too done). Although drinks came late(and one of them not at all), the food runners were fast and courteous. Table 24 has a good location, and outdoor seating(with fire pit) was plentiful. A nice happy hour or dinner spot.
