Cheap shaved meats, overly sweet curry with not much curry flavor, and stir-fry sauce was like a bowl of soup… Not a place I will visit again.

This restaurant has changed so many times over the past years but I used to always come to the previous restaurant for the papaya salad. Since I saw a groupon deal for this new ownership and I thought I would come try out their papaya salad and other appetizers. I love me some good papaya salad and any Thai restaurant should be capable of making a decent papaya salad. But this was not the case for Thai on the Fly. For me, the papaya salad was just salty and sour with no source of satisfaction to my taste buds. I didn’t even finish it, it just didn’t taste good. I had to spend at least $ 12 to use my coupon so I also grabbed the crispy rolls. They were pretty much pieces of unflavored and unsalted chicken wrapped up with a little vegetable and then deep-fried. The rolls were supposed to have glass noodles which I could not find a single piece of noodle in my «rolls». The wrapping turned out somewhat interesting but the sauce was very essential for me to eat those rolls. Nothing else was quite note worthy enough to mention. I know it seems like a low blow to rate a 1 star but I had not one but two items that I ordered to be bland and distasteful. Well, what can I say? One should not expect very much when the phone lady does not even ask how spicy you want your papaya salad. Anyways, I really hope these guys patch up their recipes because I still have a groupon coupon to use! I’ll definitely update when I give this place a second try.

I visited this last Friday for a quick snack of vegetarian egg rolls in the off hours(3:45) or so. The server was nice enough & attentive, but I asked for a side of ‘peanut sauce’ along with the ‘sweet & sour’ they give with a starter/appetizer dish, I got a ramekin of pure peanut butter??? There are plenty of good Thai food places in Utah Valley, skip this place if you are looking for the more authentic. They don’t really seem like they know what they are doing, as far as GOOD basic Thai food goes. Spice is the key, nuff said.

This is the least flavorful«Thai» food I’ve ever had. Basically tasted like sugar with no typical Massman curry or Pad Thai flavor(those are what we ordered). Just sugary sweet. Pad Thai was also mainly noodles, and like 3 pieces of carrot and a small chunk of egg. Also a little pricey compared to other Thai places and the quantity you get. The employees were nice and everything, no complaints there. I’ll stick to Spicy Thai in Provo.

Their service was great. I didn’t like the drunken noodles since they tasted like black licorice to me, and the manager happily offered to make me something else, which turned out great

I wasn’t really impressed. I got the coconut curry soup, cream cheese wontons, and jasmine rice. The soup had those little mini corn on the cob things, which was gross. They gave me white sticky rice, and some weird sweet desert wontons. Also they charged me for the wrong item. I would have gone back but it was takeout. And it’s Friday. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Best Thai food anywhere! Reasonable prices too. Drunken noodles with chicken, galanga soup, mausiman curry. Too many favorites to list.
