This shop used to be the best in town. One of their newer employees however has done sub par work on my bow on more than one occasion. My bow was supposedly tuned perfectly. After attempting to broad head tune my bow without any luck I took it back to them which they again assured me it was perfect. I again attempted to broad head tune with no luck. I took my bow to a different shop which showed me that it was not shooting bullet holes through paper like Jake’s claimed and also that my cam timing and lean were way off. I bought this bow last year from Jake’s and this same employee sold it to me. The Ironic thing is last year it wouldn’t broadhead tune either which makes me suspicious that my bow was never tuned correctly to begin with. I questioned my form however I have owned several bows and every other bow I have owned I got my broadheads to fly correctly. A word to the management of Jake’s, make sure your customers are satisfied with the work your newer guys put out. Otherwise guys like me who drive 45 minutes to go to you specifically will go elsewhere. I can get average to poor work at sportsman’s warehouse or Cabela’s which is much closer.

I had a great experience here. While i’m a novice, I didn’t feel criticized and actually received a couple of helpful tips from staff. I plan on returning with my wife soon.

It’s a very closed society kind of establishment. I guess you’re either one of them or you’re not. Customer service seems to be a very low priority. I highly recommend calling before hand to understand what options are available for their range – And then call again, right before,(and I do mean minutes) before you get there to see what may have changed.
