Really nice atmosphere to the place. If you want a coffee that will give you enough energy to balance your checkbook and fight a bear at the same time– get the red eye. Only 4 stars because one night I was studying there and a live band started playing…

I love that Spot Coffee has come to Orchard Park. During my senior year of high school we had«open» which allowed seniors to leave school and go out for a break. Spot was my hangout during my open and I loved it there. The staff is so friendly, the environment is clean and the food is delicious. I’m not sure what they do back in the kitchen but whenever I order a bagel it takes longer then normal to cook a simple bagel, however they are always delicious and well worth the wait! They also offer student discounts with an ID which is great!

For as cute as the establishment is, there is serious improvement to be done involving staff. They forgot my water bottle, and my hubby mentioned on 2 separate occasions they’ve forgotten his pastries. However, as I was able to easily eavesdrop on the conversation between the guy who was behind me in line(who used to work there) and the barista(who is the last remaining crew member from his days), this Spot had been through 3 managers and have finally landed on one who the girl said«was nice.» Maybe if a manager sticks around for more than what even a teenager thinks is a short amount of time(am I right, twenty-somethings?!) maybe the staff will get whipped into shape and be a bit more efficient. Once that happens, this could easily become the best Spot in the area!

SPOT Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops, especially the Orchard Park location. I frequent it quite often. The atmosphere is very warm and the exposed wood beams upstairs lend to reminding you as you sip your coffee that this is a historic building. Besides their plain ol’ coffee, I have a couple drinks that I come back to as regulars: the Mocha Shake and the hot mocha(coffee and chocolate were just meant to go together, my friends). I can’t say anything for the plain milk versions, but the soy milk versions are on point. I had the regular mocha today, and I can say that SPOT does it right. It’s perfectly creamy with the right balance of chocolate and espresso. And let me tell you, SPOT’s espresso is good – it’s smooth and doesn’t leave any burnt or bitter feelings in your mouth. I don’t often order their food but I have tried two items: the Hummus Plate and a roasted veggie sandwich special. The Hummus Plate is alright and provides a pretty decent portion; the hummus itself is a bit sour which I’m not a huge fan of, but the texture is really great(it’s a little bit chunky, not the one-textured smoothness you get from a store bought package). If you’re ever in the Buffalo/Rochester area, specifically Orchard Park, I’d highly recommend a stop in.

Ok Spot, Kudos on upgrading from House Recipe ketchup to Heinz. Although I didn’t get the pizza I did catch a glimpse and they do look better. I might try one again in the future… However, I keep trying and giving you all the chances I can, but you keep letting me down. Today, I arrived at noon and waited in line while the person working the register(shift manager from what I can gather) was too concerned with ringing out tips for the tip jar than taking customers orders. Not a good start. People in line clearly frustrated. Second, I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich(no pesto aioli) and a latte. After waiting close to 20 minutes I finally got my sandwich and latte — at the same time. Please teach your barista how to steam enough milk and pull enough shots to make multiple drinks at the same time. There was no room to stand so many irritated people were waiting for drinks. Sandwich was wrong, not only did it have the aioli on it, but it was smothered! When I told the shift manager she proceeded to lecture me on how there is pesto in the chicken and also in the aioli and that I was confused. Her delivery persuaded a «stupid customer» attitude and rather than explaining to her what aioli was I got my money back. Yet another let down and from looking around the room it’s obvious I’m not the only one… focus on the customer experience because right now it’s lacking.

Not the best spot location… Disappointment. I had a bitter coffee and added soy milk which seemed to curdle or get clumpy in the coffee??? Ew I told the«barista» who basically brushed it off and said that’s been happening. Not okay I had to insist that I needed a new coffee and he finally poured me a new one. Won’t be coming back.

the coffee here and mixed drinks are phenomenal but the barista with the blonde hair and glasses has got to go. She’s got a horrible attitude and never smiles, I feel like I’m disturbing her by ordering a coffee beverage. I just don’t get it. Can’t believe there is even a tip section on the receipt. Here’s a tip: smile!

I just updated to 3 stars, because upon returning today, the servers were very pleasant, and the lattes were excellent.

I’m happy to see a coffee shop opening up in the village! There really aren’t any other restaurants/cafes that promote a friendly environment to grab a coffee and just hang out with friends and enjoy the day. In terms of coffee and food, it’s the same variety and quality that you would expect at any of the other Spot locations. What is lacking from the other Spot’s, however, is that quirky/trendy buffalo vibe. The interior isn’t as decorated as other locations and while the staff is plenty friendly, they aren’t shouting orders and cracking jokes like the barista’s on Elmwood’s Spot. I tend to come here during the day to study, so it’s kind of nice that it is quieter(plus great free wifi and an assortment of seating options) but I do enjoy the other locations as well. The only negative I’ll mention is that because it is so close to Orchard Park middle school, after school ends a lot of young kids come to the café unsupervised and make a lot of noise and ruckus while waiting for their parents to pick them up. It’s pretty disruptive and I’m interested to see how that changes in the summer. Will definitely be back to this location though!

My girlfriend and I went in to get a coffee for myself and a Chi Latte for herself. When my girlfriend received the Chi Latte she took a sip and said it tastes like Pumpkin. I could smell the pumpkin myself from a couple feet away. We went back in to see if they had made a mistake. One girl Behind the counter opened up the drink and smelled it, then not knowing asked the person who made it. He didn’t even look up before he said it was a Chi Latte. The girl then put the cap back on the drink and handed it back to my girlfriend saying«i guess that’s how our Chi Latte tastes.» Absolutely Despicable. Never going back EVER again.

Food — Light fare, very nicely prepared. A lot of health conscious choices. Drinks — Excellent coffee and tea choices as expected from Spot. Setting — Wonderful reuse of an older building in the center of the village. It’s a relaxing place to sit and read. It definitely contributes to a sense of place at the heart of the Village of Orchard Park.

I like supporting local businesses but next time I’m visiting Orchard Park, I’ll drive to Panera. The two times I’ve come to this Spot, I’ve found the staff to be pretty incompetent. Today, my Mike sandwich came on the wrong bread and was full of turkey(which is not even supposed to be on this sandwich) – problematic since I’m a vegetarian. I find their coffee to be too bitter for my liking. Sorry, Spot. I wanted to love you.

It has potential… since it is new to the OP area I think it needs time to find its niche! I love the drinks, however the pastries are very dry and tastless. I’m sure I will try it again soon and I hope I came on a «bad baked good» day!

Normally I love spot coffee but the staff needs work at this location. After ordering the grilled cheese there today and asking for the salads dressing on the side I discovered a container of mayo on the side upon opening my sandwich at home. The staff also seems excessive in the number of times they shout your name within the first minute if your order being done — not a relaxing experience.

After going to all of the spot coffees in the area, this Spot Coffee was built for an Orchard Park crowd. From what I’m told this is the first«franchise» that was sold and it has definitely deviated from the original style of all the other spot coffee’s in Buffalo. I think Spot has«sold out» from it’s original roots. As they say, «Money changes everything.» The food and coffee are all the same from the other locations. The inside definitely reminds me of Elm Street Bakery in East Aurora. I think the long staircase is a liability waiting to happen.

Nice ambiance and excellent cappuccinos and iced skinny lattes. Happy to see a good coffee shop finally come to the Southtowns! Will definitely hang out here with friends.
