Always good. Groupon users be aware, THEYCLOSEAT3:00PM, NOT9:00PM. This is not Annies fault, I went for dinner last night and found out the hard way. They are still a great spot in any event. Really good food and service has always been great. I’ve been here on and off for over 10 years, never been disappointed.

It has been years since I visited Annie’s. Just too crowded. The mrs. wanted to go so off we went. It was very crowded but we were seated immediately. The Orangevale locals love this place but I always found it to be sort of meh. Today was different. I ordered the 8 oz New York Steak & Eggs with Hashbrowns and a homemade biscuit. The steak was a star. Very tender and flavorful. With steaks in the name you would hope they can cook one but admittedly I was surprised by my outcome. It probably wasn’t the best cut of meat but at $ 10 bucks I can’t complain.

We have been here several times before but this time was exceptionally good :-) we were created almost immediately and had our food hot and ready served to us within 15⁄20 minutes of being here. Most are dining experiences it takes forever in a restaurant to get the food. This time it was exceptional service. I ordered the chicken fried steak with hashbrowns and a coffee. Everything came out excellent tasted good, no complaints here. The owner came around & asked how the service was and we let him know it was amazing :-) it’s great to see an owner in the restaurant and checking on customer service. We will be back again. And Susan says” the chili Verde is bomb”

One of the better breakfast places in the area. Lots of locals here daily. Very friendly staff. Great service and you can’t go wrong with the ribeye steak and eggs. Good breakfast comfort food over all.

So fucking disappointed — my entire lunch hour WASTED. My boyfriend and I walked to Annie’s Breakfast and Steaks(since we live hella close) only to have a bug in his lettuce AND a hair on my burger. Never have I been to a restaurant where both people have something gross like that in their food. Sadly we are DONE with that place. We were so excited to live so close to somewhere we both loved before. Now I am pissed and pregnant. My man called a pizza into Winco for me, but I really wanted a damn patty melt… happy Monday!

My mom and I ate here today, they were about to close but were nice enough to let us order. I had the belgian waffle with blueberries and whip cream and a side of bacon. Everything was very delicious, and the staff was really friendly, especially since I am sure they were wanting to go home! We greatly appreciated the fact that they served us and provided us with great food and a pleasant experience!

Called to place a pick up order. Word of advice for your staff, remember to ACTUALLY place the caller on hold before you start insulting them to your coworkers and calling them lazy for not coming in to place an order.

Not a bad old school diner. Nice ladies and service. Lots of regulars and locals. Can’t really mess up eggs, hash browns and sausage. Steak wasn’t very good though. No seasoning and tough. Get the basic breakfast and skip the steaks. Wish the plates were bigger because they kind of just piled everything together on a medium plate. Eggs buried under my hash browns and steak. Overall I would go back for a cheap quick breakfast or brunch.

This corner restaurant has a strong following and has for many years. I’ve been perplexed by its popularity. I expect better than mediocre from small independent family cafes and restaurants but at this neighborhood eatery, it doesn’t seem to matter. I’d been here many times over the years(not by my choice). I have family that continue to come here and rave. You can get a bargain meal here. Remember the saying: «you get what you pay for» This review prompted by my most recent visit. It was Easter Sunday and extended family really wanted to meet here for brunch — a regular place for them. It was busy and no fault or complaints about service on this day, staff and servers did what they could do with this holiday crowd. Dirty floors, dusty sills, and while the top of the table is wiped down, the table edge has aged evidence of past diners as did some arms of chairs. The seating, mismatched chairs, but not in a good way. Salad and half sandwich. Described as served open faced with turkey, gravy, and cranberry. When presented, the 10″ plate of brown gravy pooled over a lump that was the open faced sandwich. Under the gravy was a slice of generic white bread(straight out of the sleeve) topped with about 4 slices of processed turkey(each slice still edge-in-line with the next; straight out of the shrink wrap packaging). The gravy was either canned or packet gravy; very uniform, monochromatic, and not at all interesting. The canned cranberry jelly in a 2oz plastic cup edged onto the plate. I managed two bites and went after my wife’s eggs, hash browns and bacon. None of the hash browns at the table looked cooked. Warm perhaps, but very little color other than potato. It’s normal for me to look around the table at others’ food and think, «I should have ordered that.» No such thoughts on this day. I could have ignored the experience of this visit(like each time past), moved on, and not written this review. If I felt effort was put into the making of a menu, of creating meals, and effort to proudly serve the customers and provide a positive dining experience … I would be more forgiving. Very routine and unfortunate.

After passing by Annie’s a hundred times we decided to stop by. It’s always a good sign when you see a little bit of a line and a full house for breakfast on a Saturday. The staff was great, the food was awesome, and the fact that it’s family owned and operated makes it feel like a taste of home. A definite recommendation and we will be visiting again!

Haven’t eaten here in years. Nothing has changed. The staff are still great, and on top of everything. Breakfast was delicious, and the food was served quicker than any other breakfast house. Our server Katy was amazing! Seriously, ask for Katy!

Took my boyfriend here for the first time and he loved it. I think more than me! Definitely coming back. It also has reasonable prices, which is good because we are living on a budget

The family has enjoyed coming here for almost twenty years. Their $.99 breakfasts used to be legendary — now they are still quite reasonable at $ 2.99 for the base breakfast IIRC. So cheap you can mix and match to try/share with sunrise else as long as you aren’t super hungry. Recently enjoyed the biscuits and gravy for a tasty hearty breakfast.

Local moms and pops that’s been at this particular location for years and years. This place is always busy with locals on the weekends. In my opinion the food is extremely bland. As for the service itself it was great. Very attentive staff but the food falls short in the tastiness department. I had to drench my food in hot sauce in order to somewhat enjoy my meal.

I’m giving this place a two star rating but I’m not going to trash it and here’s why. While I will definitely never go back here, it has it’s place in Sacramento. If you’re looking for fresh ingredients and unique menu options for breakfast like you find at Bacon and Butter, Ettores, or Café Bernado, you’re not going to find them here. And those are the types of places I like which is why I won’t be going back to Annie’s. But if you like very basic/traditional breakfast offerings that are on the unhealthy side, you will like this place. And there’s a lot of people that like that stuff. As I was leaving I thought to myself, «my dad would probably like this place.» And the place was not short on customers, it was very crowded. The wait staff was friendly and the prices very cheaper than any of the places I listed. This restaurant has its place in the universe, it’s just not in my universe.

Had a Groupon coupon for $ 40, with tip and tax I had to spend an additional $ 9 no biggie for the price I spent $ 30 to get $ 40 worth of food. Portion size are extremely large excellent! prices are very good for the size and for what you get. downfall, biscuits and gravy are adequate they are not made from scratch. porterhouse had way too much fat and gristle but was cooked correctly. eggs are good hash browns are good. Strawberry pancakes were very good but you can tell that the syrup with the strawberries was not homemade it was canned. If you were in a rush and just need something to eat the place to swing by.

3.5 stars since the prices are cheap. Had the porterhouse steak and eggs for breakfast. Food wise it was truly A-OK. For the price it’s very fair, our server was nice and the restaurant is older but clean. If you’re looking for a little more of a culinary experience probably worth trying another place.

When we got there, the servers were obviously frustrated with seating as 3 of them were talking frantically about seating. We were showed to a table, but had to wait a minute before it was cleaned off. Nothing too exciting on the menu… just the average stuff. The country breakfast I ordered was just«so-so» nothing special. Sausage was obviously overcooked. Glad I didn’t order the corned beef hash… suspected it was out of a can. Probably won’t be back.
