Villa Park Motel

This place is old, but it’s the cheapest motel that I could find. The customer service at the check-​in desk is great. Very friendly older couple that run the place. The rooms are clean and vary in size, all for the same price. I have stayed in a large room that has a separate kitchen and full size refrigerator to the smallest size room that has a mini fridge near the bed. I have stayed at the Villa Park Motel on 5 different occasions and have had 5 different rooms each time. If you’re looking for a inexpensive place to stay this is it. They have a sign posted that says «no parties and guests throwing parties will be evicted by the Orange Police department». I appreciate that because usually people rent cheap motel rooms to party and make lots of noise. I stay here when I need a quiet place to rest for the night. I don’t know about the other reviewers talking about roaches and bed bugs. I have yet to see any in any of the rooms I’ve slept in.

I only stayed here one night but I thought considering the cheap cost ($ 55) for one night or $ 330 for the entire week (7 days) that it wasn’t too bad at all. My room had hardwood floors & a kitchen w/​full size refrigerator, stove, sink & cabinets. Free Wi-​Fi which is great as well. Average TV with a few channels to choose from, decent bathroom, etc. There were 2 closets (one of which was a walk-​in) which would be really great for an extended stay. Parked right next to my room which was good as well.
Clearly this is a Motel, not the Hilton, and you do get what you pay for so the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the guy in the room upstairs from me was making kissy noises at me while I was getting things out of my car. Not the owner’s fault obviously but Motels do attract some nasty people. And there was a cockroach in the kitchen which left me feeling that something would crawl on me in my sleep. The floor upstairs squeaked the entire night but maybe I just got a noisy upstairs neighbor. I honestly can’t imagine what he was doing walking around the entire night until probably 4am but whatever.
I must say the owners are VERY nice people & very accommodating. There’s a big sign saying if you came here to party, you’ve come to the wrong place basically & that was appreciated. So yeah, all in all 4 stars for a cheap Motel :-)
