The LASIK Vision Institute

This office is by far the best in southern California… excellent staff… latest technology… and great location… I ‘ve checked out other offices to do my surgery and this office is where I felt the most comfortable… some people complain about price, but remember the saying «you get what you pay for»… this location is worth every penny… you can’t put a price on vision. I had a great experience and I am very satisfied with the results… special thank to the surgeon Dr. Chebil. she’s awesome!!!

I have nothing but compliments for this office… I had my surgery done two and a half weeks ago. It changed my life. Good bye stupid glasses!!! Special thanks to the staff, starting with the very friendly receptionist, the office manager Christine was very helpful, the technicians were very nice, super professional doctor and amazing surgeon… I’m bringing my sister and a friend next week to do their consultation and have a life changing experience like me. I recommend this office to everyone…

If I could give this specific facility a 0 star I would. The actual company itself is great but this specific location in Orange is terrible because of the person anchorage of financing. Her name is Christine Balaban. If you do decide to go to her make sure you are recording everything. Any change you decide to make make sure you record because this lady likes to say that «my notes here don’t say that and I can’t do anything for you.»
So now to explain what happened to me here.
Everything started off great when I went in. The price was decent the receptionists were great. I decided to go along with the surgery. I scheduled it for the 19^th of September. 3 days prior to the surgery I decided to cancel because I was having terrible anxiety problems and felt like I wasn’t quite ready for the procedure. I then decided to reschedule again for the 25^th of September. 3 days prior to the surgery I had to cancel again. There was no way I could go through with it because the anxiety got so bad. There policy states that if you cancel 48 hours before the surgery you can get your deposit back. This wasn’t the case for me. I called and then Christine told me that I couldn’t get my deposit back because i cancelled the day of my surgery and that was what her notes said. I DID NOT cancel the day of my surgery! Why would I do that knowing I wouldn’t be able to get my deposit back. I called 48 hours ahead of time and she refused to give me the money. I kept trying to explain to her but all she said was that she was going to hang up because she can’t do anything for me and to have a great day.
The nerve to hang up on me and to tell me to have a great day after she decided to steal my deposit.
I was and continue to be very angry at this specific location. I didn’t let this go, I contacted the main laser company and thankfully they got me my refund.
If you decide to go through with the treatment then be careful because I don’t want anyone to go through what I did.
Make sure that if you decide to cancel you make Christine sign a paper with the date you cancelled so if she tells you otherwise you will have proof.
It is obvious that whoever took her notes didn’t know proper dates.
Please be very carefulI with this Christine I can’t stress this enough. She comes off as friendly but only because she wants your money and business and then when she has you she changes.

I don’t really take the time to post any reviews, whether negative or positive but I really want to express in words my satisfaction and gratitude for The Lasik Vision Institute. My eye vision was –3 on both eyes and I couldn’t see much far without my eyeglasses. I was really tired of wearing them and I couldn’t do much or enjoy some activities (swimming, playing sports, watching TV, driving, etc) without them. I had been thinking about getting lasik for many years now but I was always afraid of getting or putting things into my eyes or have the doctor sneeze or something during the procedure and me going blind. Lol true. I heard about this place on an ad in the radio and went for my free consultation on May 14, 2015 as I was curious on how these «operations» were done and what were the risks and cost.
The funny thing is that day my wife and I were telling each other as we were walking to the building that we were not «buying» anything and we were only «getting information.» LOL Now, not to bore anyone with many details but I felt very comfortable with all the staff and their professionalism. I really like how the people who were doing my tests where very informative and would go into detail in all that they were doing and how many of them got the lasik done themselves there and were very happy with the results. Christine who is the «financial lady,» was extremely nice and would answer all my questions, and did I have questions!
We decided to perform the procedure for the custom lasik that very same day as they had a slot available later that day and they were able to give us a great deal for having it done the same day. I was in and out of the surgery room in 12 minutes! (Yes, I timed it). I felt no pain, other than me being a little bit nervous mixed with excitement. My wife drove me home afterwards. I was told to go to bed and to sleep as soon as I got home. Next day I went to work and on my post op appointment I was seeing ²⁰⁄₁₅! Frankly, having done my lasik surgery at The Lasik Vision Institute has been a huge blessing and I still can’t believe that I don’t need to wear glasses anymore after doing that for many years. The staff has been more than great at all my follow ups and after over 3 months later, my eyes feel great and I’m still seeing ²⁰⁄₁₅! My wife is getting hers done in the near future and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has been thinking about getting lasik done, as it is truly life changing!

Had Lasik performed in April and all went fantastic! The staff was very insightful and helpful. Tina and Dr. Yousefi were amazing prior and on the few follow ups.
The entire process was real smooth, you get a check up to validate that you’re eligible. Once cleared, you schedule a time and get Lasik. The procedure is seamless and painless and then you’re off home. You have to check in the next day and then the following week to make sure healing is progressing well.
Overall, this place is solid with the price and service. Thanks for the 20 – 20!

Very expensive. They will lure you in with a good deal then tell you it’s only for one eye.
If they find out you have been shopping around they will tell you your not a candidate for lasik.

It’s been a month since my lasik and my eyesight improves daily! The day following surgery I had ²⁰⁄₂₀ in my left eye and ²⁵⁄₂₀ in my right! I couldn’t tell one was healing slower because to me my vision was perfect! I could only notice the difference when I would close the left eye to see only with the right! Yesterday I went for a month post op appt and my eyes are perfect and healing just fine! It’s been a life changer! The staff, optometrists and surgeon are wonderful! Very helpful and answer any questions you have I am so glad I decided to get the procedure done here! Great job staff!

I would give this place 5 STARS ! Had my surgery 4 weeks ago and they made it quick and painless. Dr. Chebil is a nice and very skillful surgeon — -top rank in the world: surgery is literally few minutes, recovery is quick and as «programmed» as the instruction tells.
The staff are all happy people, and I offered them to write this for honor their good work. Also, in Chinese language social media Wechat where I have over 10,000 followers.
I am so happy, my vision gets better and better. The LASIK let me get rid of the suffer of 28 years of contact lenses. I am so glad I did this.
I went to 3 different LASIK centers for consolations, I choice this one event it take me drive 45 minus more, because everything this center showed me they care! My 3 other friends will go to this center for their sugary too.

I got my eye surgery here back in February I found them through Qualsight Lasik, probably the best thing I could have done, I have ²⁰⁄₁₅ vision the day after my procedure at a great discount no hassle, the facility is great and they treat you great as soon as you walk in the door I really highly recommend them!!!

I had a great experience through Lasic vision Institute everybody there was so friendly and helpful I think if I had to do it again I would use them again I am also thankful for the person at QualSight for all the help and especially for the big discount and price I got through them I will be posting up their website feel free to go on their register and they will call you back with a better price then you can get yourself.

Warning! this people are misleading. They lied to me when I made an appointment. They told me I would get a evaluation/​test of my visions and then consultation about the procedure and pricing.
I went there take time off from my work. They asked me wait and after some one girl took me in and the office manager gave the price options but no evaluation of my eyes.
They are worse than the car salesman. Because the are haggling the price without evaluating me. She ask me when I was going to get the procedure done. I told her I need think about it and she told me what think about. I am going to have surgery on my eyes of course I have to thing about. They seems fishy to me. I would not risk my eyes with these people. I wasted my time, gas and money to go there.

I wanted to wait a year to see how my eyes and procedure panned out to make sure that anyone reading make a good decision, about a life long investment.
Let’s say that I am more than thankful for having my procedure done at this facility. It’s been over a year and I still see perfectly. I was very surprised I still see so well and how well it helped with my allergies. I would’ve done the surgery to help my allergies and still have crappy eyesight. I don’t have any issues with dry eyes anymore. I am soooo happy. Cant explain that enough. I try to recommend everyone I know here and how much of a life changer it was for me.
The office staff was always very friendly to me and the surgeon was also very nice. The procedure was very quick and woke up a couple days later with perfect vision and no irritation. I suggest going home to sleep the entire day, just because the irritation after surgery is very bothersome.

I went to this place on Saturday and there was this girl at the front desk that was very rude. She said that this office cannot see people who doesn’t speak English. She basically denied treatment for those people who doesn’t speak English. Her professionalism is unacceptable. She doesn’t deserve to work in the health professions field. She needs to learn her basic manners before getting a job. Bad receptionist here, stay away from this place. Do not go to a place that has language discrimination！
Her attitude deserves zero stars. Their staff needs an eye exam for themselves…

I would give this place 5 STARS ALLLLL DAAAAY! Had my surgery a week ago and they made it quick and painless. If you’re tired of waking up every morning looking for your eyes (contacts/​glasses), I recommend this place. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: yall dont EVER have to worry about sleeping with your contacts on those crazy drunkin’ nights EVER AGAIN!!! The whole staff here are hospitable and caring and they really give you a pleasant experience. They carry the latest high tech equipment and have some of the leading professionals who deal with laser eye surgery. SURGERY is LITERALLY 1 PAINLESS MINUTE. Recovery is smooth. Haven’t had any trouble with side effects other than dry eyes every now and then, but that’s what eye drops are for, duh ! :) My vision gets better and better every day…*so blessed* Save up yall! Had PRK here in January. Before the procedure I was considered legally blind, my prescription was at –5.75. You could be 5 feet in front of me and I would have no idea what your face looked like without my glasses, so this for me, was a necessity. I’ll be damned if the zombie apocalypse happens and I die getting torn apart because my glasses break or I run out of contacts.
I did a ton of research and I had 2 co-​workers at my office that have had the procedure done, one had a horrible experience, the other a great one. Obviously I asked the guy who had a great experience where he got his done and wouldn’t you know it, they were in the same building as our office. Referrals and convenience?! Two extra points for you LVI.
I went in to see if I was a candidate and set a date for the surgery.
I asked for something to ease my nerves before the big day, they gave me a prescription for anti-​anxiety. ASK FOR THE ANTI-​ANXIETY MEDS. Trust me. They help a ton in that last moment before going in to surgery.
I’ve been wearing glasses and contacts since I was in 4^th grade. Honestly, there’s nothing like being able to see for the first time unaided by glasses or contacts, I cried.
Through the whole process, the people at LVI were very helpful and kind, they answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. My vision is amazing now. ²⁰⁄₂₀. I feel so blessed that I was able to get the procedure done. Thank you guys!

I got my Lasik CustomVue procedure 2+ months ago and it’s been one of the best choices I’ve made! I knew from the beginning the custom technology was for me and that I was in the best hands with Dr Chebil (the surgeon). The first day after my Lasik procedure, I was seeing ²⁰⁄₁₅ both eyes! The procedure was quick and better than I expected. I am the type of person who gets queazy with anything surgical. The staff was really informative and thoroughly explained the technology and what to expect which made the day of surgery a good experience. Overall, my experience with this center was fantastic. Friendly and professional staff and the best thing was I was able to go to work the next day with amazing vision! Highly recommend this place :)

I got to give them one star. The staff was nice but after the consultation it felt like I was buying a car. After every thing the doctor recommended he followed it up with «that’s a extra charge». The prices they charge are really high. They wanted $ 3600 for their custom lasik and $ 3100 for the standard procedure and that was with their «20% discount». This is with me vision being –2.75 and –1.75.
After I followed up with the office about pricing and let them know I was going to get the procedure done else where the manager laughed at me and said good luck when I told her the other doctor is only going to charge $ 2000 for the operation. I guess their so use to over charging they can’t believe it when they her about a affordable price.
Oh yeah the first thing they have you fill out when you fill out your forms is a credit card application for credit care to finance your surgery. That should of been a warning that their prices are high.

Before I start to get into the details, let me just say the day after my procedure I was able to see ²⁰⁄₁₅ with no issues. I am extremely happy with the results.
The office staff is absolutely awesome. From Patty at the front desk, to the techs named Leah and Tina that did the testing, and Stacy who explained payment and instructions, were professional, personable, knowledgeable and competent. Dr. Field the ophthalmologist was pretty good at answering questions at the consultation. Naturally on the day of surgery I was pretty nervous. After being checked in I was waiting for Dr. Chebil, the surgeon, to do a final test. I waited, and waited and waited. She finally arrived. Upon meeting her, it was obvious that yes she did perform over 40,000 lasik procedure. I got the feeling that I was not one of her patients, but just another number to add to her lasik procedures and her bank account. She hardly spoke, did not ask if I had any questions and did not go over the procedure. I assume because Dr. Field took care of the consent portion during my consultation. However, being a registered nurse, this is actually illegal and the surgeon that performs the procedure must explain the procedure and document that consent was given. Anyway, more waiting for the procedure. I was next, I laid on the table and waited for Dr. Chebil to come into the room. After ALOT of education on the standard of care for lasik procedures an antianxiety medication is usually given. This is not practiced in this office. Instead I laid on the table, had my eyelids taped open and had an instrument inserted into my eye to keep me from blinking. Drops were given to numb my eyes but that is about it. This was a terrible and scary feeling. It is a disservice and bordering on inhumane not to provide anti anxiety medications to patients during this procedure. Of course I am overjoyed with my results, but when I think back to the actual procedure it was torture.

I’m one happy and fully satisfied patient! I’m feeling so amazing after my lasik eye surgery, it has been 3 months by now and the results are unbelievable, my vision gets clearer day by day !!!
I’m pleased to say goodbye to my glasses and contacts, and i don’t miss them a tiny bit =) Thank God and thank you so much Dr. Chebil, this was the best decision I have ever made in my life!

Wow! It’s been 2 weeks now that I got my LASIK eye surgery & it’s been amazing! I saw 20/​20vision on my 2^nd day & it wasn’t even 24hours yet. The surgery itself took 10min but the wait & other check up that needed to be done took a total of 1 hour ½ but it is worth the wait. Everyone was so friendly & knowledgable in what they do. They also have financing that could help you pay in a monthly basis for 2 years zero interest. Must pay within two years though or it will get expensive. I highly recommend this place to anyone that’s looking to go eye LASIK! Thanks everyone for all that you do!
